skin barrier is any "wholes" your skin may have. You notice your skin barrier may be compromised when, lets say, you use a product and it "burns" a little. It may be because your skin is compromised. or may just be the product is too strong for your skin. Same if you have break-out from acne, for example. you skin barrier is then, compromised. In theory, your skin barrier should be intact, and these products (like the one you mentioned from PC) should help you achieve that (I am not saying it does, but that is the theory behind it).
Over-cleansing and exfoliating are also big contributors to a damaged barrier.

I have always needed to use chapstick or a balm after brushing my teeth. Doesn't matter what brand toothpaste it is. Been doing this for 25 years at least!

Thank you, Angela, for sharing your empties. Your skin barrier is basically a barrier of cerimides and squalene, as well as a mixture of microbials that protect your skin from breaking down and let's it protect your body. To be able to clean and protect, skin care is using ingredients that help you barrier stay healthy. That is a bit over simplified, but you get the gest.
Also, you say you don't have achne, just clogged pores. That is the definition of 1 kind of achne. I recommend you see a dermatologist to get products that will keep you pores from clogging, like a retanoid.
I just don’t like Elemis because everything I’ve ever tried was so highly fragranced with a scent that gets a bit sickly after a while. And I love scent in my products. Favorite product of the month is the Tatcha cleansing balm. It’s fantastic. Just as good as the Alpha H Melting Moment, which has been my favorite for ages.
Good job on the empties! Glad you mentioned the Amazon dupe for the Tower 28 product. It's in my basket but haven't made the purchase. I'm going to do it! I love most B&B products. Will give the oil a try. Take care. BTW, this wasn't too long. You are entertaining and cute as a button.😊

I have heard "versed" and "heimish" have good cleansing balms... l'm also looking to try "Beauty of Joseon" balm...
Will probably go back to Clinique "Take the day off balm" which l love both original and charcoal ❤ 😊

Oh forgot to tell you Sephora 's website crashed this past Friday 10/26 and it's not working right now.. I called Sephora and they said even though it might be up "Don't use it", it not working correctly. Bummer. Sephora is like an hour and a half away. Just FYI.❣️🥴

Kosas is clean beauty which has little to no preservatives so their products will expire much quicker than usual. Doesn’t surprise me that the brow gel went bad before you could use it up lol

I didn’t like the sol de Janeiro deodorant at all! I could barely smell it, it was hard to roll on and I had white flakes falling off my armpits. I was very disappointed. Love these types of videos 👍🏻💓
