You know I live on a farm and have several large trucks including 2 Cummins, Grain truck, a Yankee Lake Mud Truck ect. and a Honda Ridgeline... Yea I can't haul a gooseneck with it or go mudding in deep pits but that's not the RL intended use. However I do believe it holds it's own against the larger trucks because I find myself doing chores with the ridgeline that I probably shouldn't. Heck I've offroaded logging trails with it to find cattle and hauled 2200 pounds of bagged grain... I love it!
I didn't make this video in an attempt to claim that the Ridgeline is some ultra heavy duty off road machine. Nor did I ever claim that This video showed off how hardcore my vehicle is. I needed footage to practice Finalcut with and so I went out to Knik River, where people drive like this with Imprezzas. I don't care how bad ass your F150 is or whatever. If I wanted a full size pick up I would have bought one.
Some jackass ran a stop sign and totaled my Tacoma today. 2007, 4x4 double cab, TRD sport. I was heart broken. But, as soon as we get the insurance money, the Ridgeline will be my next vehicle. I love the way they look, and I cant wait to see how it drives.
Don't listen to those assholes, i bet yur ridgeline engine will last thousands of miles longer than any shitty jeep, ram ford or chevy. I've seen ridgelines in heavy offroading and even thought they aren't designed for that purpose they can handle heavy roads. AWESOME video and keep up the good work
Nice video. I'm upset with Honda though, I wish they would give us some idea about the fate of the Ridgeline. Regardless, I'll own my Ridgeline until Honda stops making replacement parts for it, that's how much I love it!
@russiarulezz We did get some water in there, but this was right before getting the rear diff serviced so I figured why not. I only put 60 or so miles on it between fording and service, and in the 20,000 miles since there have been no problems.
Freakin haters!!! I love my Ridgeline I use as a daily driver and soft offroader... Have you got yours into the snow yet? They run thru snow like a rally car! I also have a GMC Full size Jimmy and it can't even come close in the snow!
Did you waterproof your Ridgeline at all? I can't drive through a puddle without my battery light coming on and losing complete control of my power steering. Yours seems to have no problems with water...
well actually it varies from state to state and when u add things such as tax title license and not to mention interest it's going to be more plus dealers add a few grand more depending on what they are selling, of course it's going to be cheaper when you do the "build your own" on the ford website. Dealers do have to make a profit.
ridgelines are great vehicles, i get tired of hearing how it's not a "real truck", it'd be like saying the colorado, tacoma, ranger, and dakota aren't real trucks either.
People who hate the Ridgelines simply could not afford to buy one. And they are so jealous of Ridgeline owners that they want to join these RL conversations.. Just saying.. Get a life non RL owners..
