There's a difference between building for the road, and building for show. As well as 1 million other factors. Could be a couple weekends with your buddy, or could be a couple years for a full show build.

Was your ball joint upside down in the upper control now?
No. Only the upper arm is flipped upside down. The ball joint bolts in like stock. The passenger becomes the driver and vice versa.
