Nice. Thanks for posting. I have the same bike and just added the Zard decat (with stock silencers). Decat makes a big difference with heat reduction. It's a little louder than it was with the cat. I was worried the Zard silencers with the decat would be too loud but listening to yours I'm not so sure anymore. It sounds really good.
Kevin Neufeld hey thanks for the comment! I love the sound with the silencers out. I haven’t tried it with the silencers installed yet but it’s a easy clip lock so I might!
That zard definitely sounds awesome. I picked up the FreeSpirit H-Pipe de-cat but still have the stock silencers so need to figure out what I want to do with those. Mostly I wanted to get that heat away from my knee on the XE.
Unknown Overland yeah that heat was insane. Another RUclipsr did a temp gauge reading and the difference was incredible! I love the sound of mine and don’t mind the extra HP 😎.
@@2wheelAdv That's a good idea, I should take it out for a ride and get a reading off of the cat and compare it to without, though something tells me I just don't want to know what I've had that close to my leg for this long.
So...all these exhaust out there end up covering that beautiful rear right OHLINS shock. Do you think...based in the pipe design that one could possibly cut the pipes down to end just before they get to the shock?
Danny Valdez that’s why triumph gave you two! 😂😎 You could do two different things if you want to see both of them. A; buy the cut down version which is non Zard. B; buy the low Zard pipe which looks cool and shows off the shocks. Hope that helps some 👍😊
Racing, the DB’s do a little to take away from the initial grunt. If I were to do it again I would use the low Zard pipe to save on the heat displacement.
Nope, the ECU has an auto tune feature. From a cold start let it idle for about 18-20 minutes. If you want full performance you can have your ECU flashed with a Zara specific tune and it will unlock a ton of power. I kept mine basic
Great music! Let me know if you have any tips about on-board sound recording (for a 2014 GSA with Yoshimura Hepta Force exhaust)... I've tried a dozen different ways with a Tascam DR-05 and a Sony ECM-CS3 mic but I cannot get any decent results... Cheers!
@@2wheelAdv Thanks. I've got a couple of old Tomtom Bandits but since they've deleted the editing app altogether, I'm trying to record the sound separately. Maybe I should upgrade my cameras...
Baltic Streets hey, thanks for that comment. It’s still early to be certain but riding back roads it appears to be a good 7-8 mpg difference. I averaged 59 mpg on my last 140 mile trip. I’m doing more highway miles now and should have a end result in a few days.
😂, well what had happened was.... while exploring the far reaches of the Arctic I lost my way. With no food and nothing to keep me warm i prayed for a solution before me appeared a great bear and with my barehands we did battle and at the end I was bloodied but had won the battle and now I had his fur for warmth and food for days. Upon returning to civilization I kept this small portion of the great bears fur to always remind me of the struggle I once faced.... just totally pulled that out my a$$. I get the heat issue. Zard sounds nice, but I think the stock pipes sound pretty good. Need a decibel comparison - Zard may be too loud. The carbon fiber tips are completely out of place on the Scrambler. That first weld on the header looks like shit.
Haha, let’s tell Zard how you really feel! If it’s too loud toss in the DB killers and far as the tips go that’s all user preference. Some like blondes others like brunettes, I like them all 😎👍

We're your Zard slip on pipes the Racing or Homologated? Did db killers quiet it down considerably? Curious... Thanks.

Just got this bike, and I definitely want this exhaust system. Question...did you have to do any tuning to your bike?
Hi! After installing the Zard exhaust, do you have to remap the ECU?
Nope, the ECU has an auto tune feature. From a cold start let it idle for about 18-20 minutes. If you want full performance you can have your ECU flashed with a Zara specific tune and it will unlock a ton of power. I kept mine basic
So did you install the baffles or not?
Sounds great! Do you think its too loud? For all day adv riding?

Flat Twin Frog hey, I’m using a rodeo mic and running it with a gopro hero 7.

Hey ! Is there a noticeable mpg difference with that cool set up ?

2wheelAdv thanks for info. Cheers Paul
@@2wheelAdv sorry is that a 7-8 mpg improvement over the stock set up?
@@chlee323 yes, i did a post awhile back on Instagram where I pretty much ran it dry. It was over 200 miles on a tank.
@@2wheelAdv great to hear! I’m already at the gas station way too often. Thanks!
Tell me about that seat cover. Did you kill it and skin it yourself? Just kidding. Any info you can share would be appreciated.

Way better sound! It's like a wet fart compared to Pavarotti which isn't really a comparison at all.
hockeymann88 haha yeah exactly! Thanks for the comment.
So does Zard do it well on the Heat coming out from the exhaust?
Eduard Eisenheim hey, by removing the CAT it is a noticeable difference on the leg heat.
@@2wheelAdv Cool, think I'm gonna try this one out. Thanks bro !
Eduard Eisenheim enjoy!
