It’s very important to grind off a tad on chock side of the plastic manifold and I put silicone on the base of intake to carb and to head base They are wrapped 75% of the time and if replacing head gaskets it’s a must 😊😊😊
Now, that was a job I would feel comfortable doing. Just take off the old and put on the new. Great video brother! The customer did seem to leave everything neat for you. I really enjoyed this one!
Thanks for the information I inherited a D125 20 hp and now I know what carburetor it takes because the numbers on the one on the engine don’t match anything and that looks like it
Ok here is my problem, never had this problem b4, well at least not something like this. OK, Briggs 22hp vtwin, with the 2 barrel carb, I did the water bottle spray test on both exhaust pipes, right side burns off immediately, left side, not so much, I have spark on the left side, head issues check out, no issues, it works as it should valves adjusted, push rods are not bent, valve guides are good, that is what has me stumped, the usual problems are not the problem, oh and the piston moves as it should, just the left side seems to not be working as hard as the right, I'm thinking dirty left side idle jet on the carb, what are your thoughts, as I'm at an end here?
might have learned something but you blocked the camera most of the time. Made up for it tho...by not being able to hear you. Otherwise, nice vid! TIP: maybe shoot a 5 second test vid before you go straight to production.
Ok figured out the problem, whoever worked on the engine last, didn't put the carb back together right, the 2 barrel has 2 jets a left and right, the jets were put back wrong, the left jet is larger than the right, so now both exhaust pipes are equally hot..... Just wanted to share the fix.

Nothing like someone tearing something apart and saying here , you do it from here. Great job
I don’t mind it, just other day of 60 years of seeing it every week

That split hose from valve cover to fuel pump is probably the reason he thought it needed a new carburater?????
I agree and I replace nearly every one that I work on, they are rotten and leaking 😊😊😊
What is 10 bucks more anyway 😊
They can tare them up and apart but that’s about it most of the time ❤
It’s a living fixing mistakes 😊

Good video thanks lee
Maybe coil diode issue, but that would cause a no spark issue, and it has a nice strong spark on the left side.
It jusy has me stumped
To the DYI folks, order parts and wait tell you get them then do the repair work, better chance of getting it back together that way 😊
Yes that’s my problem 😂
Want me send ya a pic lol I seen one of those few times

An you please show vane spring assembly attachment?
My has different carb on mine it two barrels
The spring you were connecting at 17:01, I see where it connects on the bottom, but can you describe where it connects at the top end?
lemme go out there and look, dont remember if theres a hole for it or if it hooks to the rod itself
@@TomDobyMowerRepair thank you so much!!
