Woah, that’s actually pretty interesting, it would be interesting to see if it were to be revealed that they’re dead. I hope not, but still an interesting theory. It would also explain the lack of continuity

Nah there's no way, Zenigata would have been most likely dead if events aged normally, more modern stuff let alone Parts 4 or 5 wouldn't have happened.
Continuity wise it's tricky but via a good Iceberg by "lastfunky" had Zenigata born around the 1920's (I think?) Via the Caliglostro Callander, But again continuity indeed varies. I geniunely like to believe in the canon that the crew were exposed to 'a yet to be revealed' Immortality thing and that they are always at Peak performances, such revelations led them being hunted for said Immortality Physiology they have, coincidentally similiar to the Cowboy BeBop episode "Sympathy for the Devil" with the Immortal Timmy Turner looking kid. Stuff like having their ages being poked fun at especially Jigen (In "Red Vs Green" Jigen even mentioned how long he's been working like "30 Years" and says "I may he old, but I still got it"), makes me think that there is more to the series then meets the eye.

Then Part 2, movies, ovas, TV specials, music, video games, merchandise, and everything else related to Lupin wouldn't exist.

Oh so its one of those...
*SWEET JUMPING JELLOS, I JUST REMEMBERED!* You weren't the only one who thought of this actually!... *Sort of!*
See, I recall that there was a now removed video that went under a Creepypasta title, it was in Italian though (The series is popular in Italy I heard, so that figures) thankfully a good acquaintance of mine translated it for me and respectfully (In short) described Lupin dying somewhere in WWll (Because of his first car at the time) and is condemned in an Ed, Edd, n' Eddy like Purgatory.
Albeit it never was into this amount of detail, and I agree that this is a better plausble theory (Especially that, yes, you can make an argument that the series got more absurd from what it once was grounded intially), albeit in a "what-if territory" and far less then the "Ash in a Coma" way as its just Zeni day-dreaming. I will share it to them when I can.
But for the possibility of Zeni being in a coma, I guess I will add on to the fact Zeni was far more grounded and in a very dangerous mission that resulted in him ending up in a hospital bed. In his dreaming, all of the stories were imagined/inspired from the Arsene Lupin books he read in his spare time, and thought up how it will be to apprehend him in more "Modern times", the rest eventually mixed in from other inspirations he experienced...
Albeit it doesn't explain how Zeni would imagine the far more modern times so it buzz killed the theory on both ends. XD

Awww thank you for your long comment!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure people had similar theories before.
I wish I could watch that theory too, it sounds very interesting...
I envy italian people so much... Lupin is so unknown in my country and it's very hard convincing people to watch it... 😭
And true, the modern things kinda ruin the coma theory unless Zenigata is very smart 🤔🤔🤔
Well maybe part 4, 5 and 6 play in a parallel world where they are still alive lmao

Very interesting theory... that would explain a lot of things.
    Please do more theories. 🤩

I think the last bit lupin gang dies some other 2 bit criminals steals the identity and zenigata chases them, and maybe the master mind is a bit of a troll so comes up with even crazier and crazier ideas to out do the last. in red vs. green its hinted at some point lupin just got bored and passes the torch to yasuo it makes sense given that lupin never seems to age in any parts, so maybe lupin isnt just 1 man but a bunch of men sort of trolling one detective for a long time.

Man, imagine if either newbies like Game Theory or Alex Bale got their sights on Lupin lll too.
For Game Theory's case, I bet Mat will do something like:
      • _"How to trap Lupin lll"_ (Even though normally, given Lupin's massive flexing 300 Eggman IQ that he can grow by eating nothing but FISH BONES, his outwitting of historical God's such as in "Secret of Mamo", And the resurrection of Leonardo DaVinci with great value but still pretty Gucci Dreamy Bugs Bunny like powers... Yeah that still isn't an easy solution).
      • _"How to break Goemon's Zantetsuken"_ (On a similiar vibe with Saitama breaking Caps shield. Albeit in OPM's case now its more then likely that Baldy could do it on a whim, with the decent power level Saitama is now. The real question is how Goemon brings back his sword if it has indeed been broken several times?).
      • Or for the heck of it, he will probably do the idea of _"The Lupin Gang are Immortal, here's why!"_
Or maybe another stoopid outlandish idea where Lupin is actually related to Ralsei from Deltarune and Lupin met Willam Afton or something to further popularize his FNAF shtick (Crossovers that can admittedly happen given the series solid yet malleable versatility. I know another character who does have this as well, but Lupin is being solely focused here of course).

Have you watched Green vs Red before making this video ?

    • @sumirenko
      @sumirenko  Год назад +1

Yes, I did. It's one of my favorites and honestly, it feels like a fever dream too. I mean a bunch of lupins and a giant robot appeared in that special.
I would love to make an essay video about it ngl.

@@sumirenko Such essay would be interesting. My take on the matter of characters not aging is, that at some point Lupin and his gang stole some powerful artifact that gave them eternal "youth" ( or rather more accurately stopped their aging). Besides it is not only cartoon where characters don't age (ex.: Ash from Pokemón)
