  • ST BARNABAS, PIMLICO in the City of Westminster has a ring of 10 bells with a tenor weighing 19cwt 3qtr 7lbs in the key of E. They form a complete ring, all cast in 1849 by Charles & George Mears at Whitechapel. The ringing here is an hour into the first peal on the bells for 120 years, rung on 17 Sept 2022 while HM Queen Elizabeth II lay in state up the road. The bells are fully muffled except for the tenor backstroke. The band is ringing Grandsire Caters. The poor state of repair of the installation made the ringing of these bells very challenging.

They have latchet stays rather than conventional stays.
