riley would hate maya and the show would fall apart
Even after understanding what the writers were trying to do with Lucas and Riley, and how they turned Lucas and Maya into just friends, Lucaya always seemed liked endgame to me since the first episode. They had way more chemistry and it seemed more like the obvious choice. And who knows, maybe if GMW had been taken on by another network like how the cast and crew and fans wanted, maybe we'd see another chance of lucaya being more real.
Also this cover of just a dream means so much to me, and I appreciate you using it.

The show needed more depth and while these 2 had some chem none of the characters knew what love was much less what in love so the “triangle” felt like a joke’ and I’ve seen Disney do WAY better than this for a opposites attract relationship

This was the perfect song choice and used one of my favourite songs all time and this just perfects their story of their relation/friendship.

GMW got derailed the second they torched the Maya-Lucas ship and demolished Maya's character with that bullshit about her becoming Riley. Hell, that didn't even demolish Maya's character - it ruined all of the characters for their belief that they expected Maya to never change or improve or succeed.
Lucaya was the best part of GMW.
