Whenever someone tailgates me when I’m doing the speed limit, I just let off the gas and slow down and make them really mad. Then when they finally see an opening to pass me, I just lay on my horn at them. Because I hate when I get tailgated. Like it’s not my fault I want to listen to the road laws and be safe while driving. Sorry I don’t want to get pulled over for speeding.

Happened to me a month ago in Richmond, VA. I just pulled up to a busy intersection in the right turn lane and stopped to see if anyone was coming. But right away the guy behind me blew his horn. Couldn't wait a few seconds so I could check for oncoming traffic. Anyway when I pulled out I looked in my rearview mirror and he only drove maybe 50 feet more to turn left into a shopping center. In such a big hurry to go 50 more feet. Crazy.

@@triple7marc The problem with pulling over for people is that you are accommodating them, and will likely be pulling over alot because there are more tailgaters driving on the highways than not. At least that's my experience. You are also contributing to more wear on your brakes, and bringing up your engine up to speed all over again after you get back on the road. Steady RPM's burn less gas. So I don't pull over for them at all unless there's a really long wide spot where I don't have to slow down for them. (which is rare) They can kiss my @$$ with their ''I'm in a BIG hurry" selfish attitudes. I just don't understand what the "hurry" is. These people need to be slapped upside the head a few dozen times for being so stupid.

My wife called me at work in a panic one day and said she had called the ambulance to take my Daughter (Around 12yrs old at the time) to the hospital and I needed to get home, and she hung up....I suppose you would drive the speed limit, take your time, maybe stop for coffee along the way. I would hate to be driving straight and someone pulls a turn and a speeder that’s behind me probably distracted going 10 over can rear end me trying to avoid a unnecessary collision because someone took a risky turn. Also no good public transport anywhere where I live, only drive to get gas go to work and go home.
