If this is the first introduction to Ghetts you've had I feel like it was the wrong recommendation.
His Mad About Bars freestyle would've been the most ideal for both of you, in terms of relatable lyrics and beat selection.
Unless you are heavy into Grime or UK rap this will 100% come across as either off beat, weird flow pattern/pockets, or weird beat selection, and the thing is it has all 3 lmfao, it would've helped knowing going into this what to roughly expect as apposed to just going in blind first introduction.

Yep you are correct and that’s 100% one thing us uk heads are doing wrong is putting these guys in too deep from the jump, this is very grime/uk heavy.. we need to break them in lightly or from the roots of grime for these masterpieces to be really understood, I see screwface diss chips - killer mc 🤦🏽‍♂️ I no everyone might not like it but he missed the crazy flows the crazy pockets the craziness from of the instrumental just simply missed it all because he doesn’t understand true grime

    Just for starters:

Ghetts feat. Kojey Radical - Black Rose
    Ghetts - Listen

One of the OGs from the Grime scene who lives and breathes old school British gangsta rap is Bugzy Malone, and he has made a remarkable personal journey through his rap career from jail to living his best life, if you check him out please do his FITB 1 and 2 back to back

I'm glad you've chosen to visit UK music again, this is honestly the home is lyricism. Ghetts and Wretch32 were in the same crew. Check out Ghetts mad about bars, there too many double entendres break down

Lyrics about grime not accepting him at first was cause of his flow pattern were complex and the biggest grime act at the time had more simple flows eg skepta also when talk about garage his also referring to the music genre that he dabbled in a little

Corn is slang for bullets in the Grime scene.
The 2 bleeps were to remove incriminating phrases as far as I'm aware.

Ghetts - Black Rose, great track... he covers some of societies issues on black women. I'm sure you guys will have a lot to say on the matter

Corn is slang for bullets, nice guess Ryan.
I am surprised this is the first time you reacted to Ghetts.
Ghetts released an album last year, you should review the album if or when you have time.

They censor parts of the song because it can be incriminating for the artist. That’s why they can use cuss words. Uk artists have to be careful what they say!

Ghetts - Ready for This. The whole "Momentum 2" album's mad.

He said the "Grime" scene (a rap genre) is trying to alienate him but the "garage" (another UK music genre he was a part of) called to say the spaceship is ready. Cause aliens drive spaceships. allegedly.
