First... have to say your channel is great man. It’s very informative. Definitely go with quality coil overs over lower springs, their worth every penny. After your first set of coil overs you’ll never think twice again.
I prefer BC racing coils. They’re fully adjustable, comfortable, handle great and are rebuildable. You can get a set for around 1k which isn’t bad considering they come with camber plates up front and optional plates for the rear. You can essentially spend way more on coil overs but I don’t see the need for daily/weekend track car.
@john smith opinions are like assholes everyone has one. 😂 😂 😂 BC’s are cheap, dependable, rebuildable and comfortable. You’ll lose no suspension travel with any coil-over system no how matter how low or high you go and the spring rates are generally much stiffer than stock. Combine that with being fully adjustable to your preference and the convenience to change ur settings in minutes makes them a great modification. Buy springs and your stuck with that ride height. So if u change ur wheels to something different you can’t adjust anything to make them work. I have Eibach springs with Koni struts on my 300C and BC coil-overs on my Q50. Prefer the BC’s ride and stance much more.
Okay my friend, you're a newbie at this. Don't take offense because you're learning! I'm glad that you joined the foray of modifications and hot rodding that is great to see it continue. What you're experiencing is wheel offset. You're going to have to find the right wheel setup to get your tires tucked in more than likely roll your inner fenders for clearance to maintain that Wide Tire. You may have to step back to the 305 and it sounds like a loss of tire but with proper suspension setup you will be getting better launch and traction than your friends withl 315
All I need to fix this was a different set of tires. The Achilles UHP 315's shape was an issue with the offset & suspension setup I chose for my RT. I appreciate the advice
Yeah, sounds like you don’t fully understand the correct Fitment of your wheels, tires, and suspension. I’m sure with a damper shock, lowering springs, correct height/wheel and tire combo, you can achieve a few different setting, including launching.
It’s not a spring problem it’s a wheel and tire problem. Might want to get the right info before misinforming others. I have lowered 90 Mopars with Eibachs and if the wheels are made with the proper offset and you stay within proper tire sizes you won’t have any issue. I run a 20x11 with a 305/35r20 and it has no issues.
Do you need to change everything out using eibach pro kit I really wanna lower it just don’t wanna change out the suspension and struts can I still use factory well going with the pro kit
This is all because he has 315 wide rear tires. That takes the perfect size wheel offset to work and still likely needs wheel well mods. You're at the max. A 305 would have been easier to fit. But you'll have no issues with a stock 245/45 or the very common 275/40 sized tire.
True, the 305 just fits with no issue on a lot of setups. The 315 is kinda the breaking point. This vid he did the sportlines too which are very low for that 315
Sorry to hear this. I think the fact that your 315s stick outside of the wheel well probably isn't helping. But you definitely don't want to screw up the tires, or anything else for that matter.
@@RTLife oh man, I got bigger problems. I bought the wrong kit altogether. I got the Pro-Kit for a hellcat/6.4L trim. Car is way too low - tires rubbing and chassis bottoming out. I just bought the sportline kit specifically for the R/T but haven't swapped them yet. But my tires don't sit outside the wheel well like yours.
No thank YOU R/T! It’s been an honor and a privilege watching this channel grow from it’s infancy. I can’t tell you how much money you’ve saved me with all the advice and high quality videos! Sorry to hear about the suspension, it’s crazy i swear i was coincidentally thinking about it today. Luckily there’s an easy fix! #moparfam
Good video man! I think the scraping is because of the 315s for sure. When I hit a dip on the highway I get that exact scraping noise. I have 315s back there same as you, but not lowered. So I can only imagine the scrape when it's lowered and it's a reason I've been hesitant to lower the car with my current setup. Maybe you'd find it's better with 275s?
I bet if I had 275's there wouldn't be an issue - but I love those big monsters in the back more hahahaha. It was something I needed to try & def glad I did. hopefully others take some of this stuff into account if they attempt this down the road. Thanks man
You need adjustable shocks I weigh 360 lbs and drive a miata it bottomed out every dip . I put adjustable konis and it made a huge difference no more bottoming you can stiffen them up while driving for curves then at the track soften your front ones all the way for better weight transfer I promise you will love it.
congrats on the 18k my friend. I love my eibach pro-kit and wouldn’t change. 275’s on rear and zero issues. and yes cornering/handling/tight curves handles extremely well. good luck budddy in your decision.
Do you need any other parts along with the Lowering Springs in order to keep the wheels aligned? I'm thinking about lowering my Challenger RT with the Pro kit.
I have a pro system on my charger with stock wheels. And no issues at all but when you start getting crazy with tire sizes is where you have issues if you like to have bigger tires wider rims coils are a better option
Congratulations on 18K brother that is just awesome! That is a bummer about the springs but thank you for doing them to give advice and personal experience on them! I would do a set of KW coil overs. I can't wait for the CAM!!! Intrested to see what you decide to go with for tires also!
I'm setting this thing up for performance - def need the suspension setup properly for everything. Def didn't expect this much rubbing though. Thanks man for the continued support
chuckyoo I’m thinking of going with the pro kit but did you have to buy new control arms and back bushings, these places are telling me I need to get does done as well if I were to get the springs? Can you help me with a lil advice?
Yes lowering springs are not for more track oriented guys/girls, these are for let say improved road spirited and mainly daily driving. In your case Coilovers will be the right way for you. Also lowering springs are not good in case you would like to go with much wider rims and tires. I am using eibach pro-kit more than year now, it is not to crazy, but as I said, still I have stock rims and tires. And as a daily driver I am more than satisfied. But If I will go more crazy later on, then I am going with coilovers.
Rubbing isn’t really the fault of the springs, with aggressive stance you have to modify the fenders. And cheap springs like eibach are made of silicon chrome steel, which always have harsh ride regardless of spring rate. That’s just the characteristic of the steel, better dampers will help but the ride quality will be pretty bad. There is a Japanese springs company called Swift Springs, they are linear springs with amazing ride quality and response. You can run those with or without damper upgrades, it’s going to be more comfortable. That being said, they don’t make it for every car, only a select list. Also when you lower, most rear cambers can’t be adjusted, so you’ll likely need adjustable rear camber arms. Another thing you need in the front is some type of roll center kit that will push the control arm back down once the car is lowered.
I was thinking of putting Moprar P5155436 or P4510854 lowing springs on my 2009 Challenger R/T. Do you know if I would need any supporting mods like you mentioned here?
The bottom of my front end clip on my Scat Pack Charger is completely decimated from driving it over curbs when parking and just going through dips and those drain channels in the streets at intersections. My car is stock ride height. The Chargers tend to dig in the front end a lot more than the Challengers do. My girlfriend's stock RT has NO such problems with its ride height. One thing I do now is back into parking spots with concrete curbsides next to them. Since I started doing that I've stopped destroying my car.
You need to roll your fenders because coil overs will do the same thing. When you do, that is just what you have to do. Or get a wider body kit that’s already been rolled
I was lucky at the time, I was working at the local dodge dealer. It was $275 for the stage 1 springs and then $200 in labor because I received a discount. My best 0-60 is 4.5 seconds. Never had any issue at all with launching. My only issue now is I don’t like my Nitto 555 tires, they don’t hold traction.
18k! That’s just a testament to your channel, down to earth and you never seem to big for the channel. Some people the numbers go to their heads. Not you, that’s what I love about you and the channel. Agree with the lowering springs, coil overs offer so much more. Keep up the awesome content! I would rather have a Yugo than drive a Mustang! 😎
Thank you very much, I really appreciate all the continued support. Def having a lot of fun & meeting a great group of people. hahaha I hear you on the Mustang! Never owned one in my life.
Good stuff bro I just recently removed my lowering springs stage 1 runing 3:15 in the back whit Factory reproduction wheels and had a negative camber so just Rolling Stock now
I got the pro kit on my TA with 315 in the rear and the tire rubbed the fender like yours i got some airbags for the back and it solved the rubbing issue the other way to fix it would of been to go with a skinner tire and different back spacing on the wheels good luck Brother
@@RTLife it rides alright and fixed the cutting into the tire but i think eventually it be better to just go with a skinner setup in the back IMO if you want to stay lowered
I use to drive c4 corvette stock height and it was annoying to slow down at any bump or ramp my opinion i would pay the extra bucks get adjustable springs
I have the Eibach pro kit springs and I installed them about year ago but installing the springs you gotta install upper control arms and the rear bushings \ Camber links , to adjust the camber of the wheels a lot of people ain’t aware of this . I have 275s up front and 305s in the rear it was rubbing when I hit large dips in the road but I fixed the issue with rolling all 4 corners of my fenders.
I was just about to make a video of this. I looked up to see if any one else had issues. My tires are wearing out on the inside as well even with a wheel alignment. Great video.
I have 17 Scat pack Challenger Running eibach Pros with 315(11) in rears and 275s(9.5) in front (wheels MRR Daytona’s flow forged wheels) no rubbing or issues at all ... had it on for 8 months now I live up in Pa/Philly area Your offset on the wheels are very important if it’s sticking out too much you’ll be rubbing or Hittin the fender .. gotta do your measurements right and the wheel setup and tires..
Sportlines position the stock shocks out of its normal travel area. To correct this problem you would have mod the shock to the amount of inches lowered. In the long run it would be worth the coil overs.
Might want to get your alignment checked too. Driver's side wheel has more + camber than your pass wheel for it to rub more on one side than the other. 👍
When you go with the lowest springs like a Sportlines then expect issues with wheel and tire interference and from the line acceleration. Especially if you only replace the springs only. Been there with Sportlines. Never had issues with Pro Kit springs on the last 3 cars I had them on but I also got the whole setup. Eibach springs, struts, sway bars, and alignment kits.
yah I wanted the looks but really it wasn't my best decision. Didn't expect the rubbing to be this bad & the performance took to much of a hit for my liking. Going coilovers at some point
@@ragintaurusmusclemercury7023 awesome so basically I can keep everything still factory stock with pro kit no problem.!? Do you know if I can fit 275 no issues as well I wanna lower my car just don’t wanna be changing stuff and have to worry n the long run if that’s the case I’d rather leave it stock and just put up with that wheel gap.! Thank you for the response back
Thanks for the heads up I've been hesitant about getting them if it wasn't for you I probably would have got them and been miserable thanks for being the guinea pig that's why your channel is growing your straight up
I have a 2009 Charger SXT 3.5l. I was wondering if the Pro kit springs would work for me. I replaced my front suspension except for the struts. The front sits an inch or so higher. I want to even it out and be an inch or so lower all around. One issue is I have the first 20" × 9" scat pack wheels with 245/45r20 stock tires. Any info on fitment would be appreciated.
I have BC coilovers comming Wednesday for my AWD Charger and the cost was $995.00 and I upgraded to Swift springs foe $175.00 with free damper extenders. A bit pricey I know but my wheel offset is similar to yours and my front tires poke a bit too. This works for me for autocross. I don't think it will be to difficult to install myself so i can save money if i brave it. I will let you know how they work out.
Ah yes good Ol Pilgrim State Psych center. Baby seat in the back reminds me of all the looks I used to get with my 06 Evo with the same matching baby seat in the back
Congrats on hitting 18k! I just hit 14.. lol. But I have been making a bunch of new videos. Got 3 coming out this week. It is fun the more you do them just like you said. Really can’t wait to film more.
My splitter on my car barely fits over the parking curb as it is. I imagine if I lowered my car, I would take my front end off every time if I wasn't careful.
Had a horrible experience with the Eibach Sporlines myself. It "settled" WAY too low, causing it to be essentially "undrivable". I bottomed out and scraped practically at all times. Ride comfort took a nose dive too, every bump felt like a crater. Sitting low is one thing, but you really need springs with a much better "spring rate" (very bouncy ride too) or coilover kit so ride quality is preserved, somewhat. Shame I wasted to close to $300 on the springs plus install, just to shell out more dough to put my stock springs back on, although i did upgrade my shocks to Bilstein B6's along my stock springs. #liveandlearn!
Damn man sorry to hear about that. Yah it's def a live & learn experience on my end as well. I will just get the coilovers & call it a day. That is likely my best bet - just is expensive as hell hahaha
I have a 15 300 been on h&r sport springs I live in the north east and I learned that it's hard to go over speed bumps and potholes and some driveways but the car feels a lot more sturdy and safer to take corners alignment might be an issue i got adjustable ball joints inside of a complete control arm the front alignment is the issue the rear is very adjustable even tire wear ,, I been driving lowered cars since day one and I daily all my cars if you're thinking about lowering your can just send it and go for it you might have a better experience depending on where you live and the condition of the roads .. good luck
This makes me glad I got the pro kit instead of sport line. I have the spc adjustable control arms just need to install them to help with alignment and get the bushings to adjust the rear camber. The springs are turning out to be the cheapest part of the whole lowering upgrade.
I really enjoyed listening to you drone on and on about all your problems. Here's the issue, your tires are too wide, they are sticking out of the wheel wells. Of course they are going to rub when you hit a bump! Maybe you should try setting up your car correctly.
R/T life. Did you have you alignment corrected after you did the springs. Because I've heard as long as you adjust your camber back to specs that you won't have the rubbing issue. Let me know your opinion. You got my gears turning an I'm interested in getting 1in lowering springs.
I think I'd prefer going with the Eibach suspension kit. with the coilovers and springs and the new sway bars. more expensive, but probably better for the car. not as much camber.
yah I def need this thing having the best suspension setup - everything I'm doing is for performance so the suspension should be setup that way. I love the look but that's about it
My own experience with the lowering and sporty springs stuff, yes handling is better , yes will look nice and sporty, but as you said the tires issues, the comfort of the ride issues (one of the big advantage of the charger its, if you wanna go nuts or race you can if you wanna ride in a comfortable car you can to and comfort its something that you lose to with that springs) the last thing you may lose its drag performance because you will lose grip probably and I say probably because I haven't test it in the hellcat, my car its not good at launches in track mode aka hard suspension because I lose the weight transfer to the back that the cat need to take off, the ability to transfer weight on launches its something that you may lose with that kind of suspensions, no weight transfer less grip and more tire spinning. As always thanks for your honest opinions about your stuff.
It makes sense, weight transfer is very important & you def lose it with these springs. I'm really not willing to sacrifice comfort & performance for looks. I'm happy I gave it a try though - just to test the waters
Sorry you were disappointed with the lowering springs.Sometimes ya have to "take the plunge", to know if you've done the best thing or not......we all do it. What the hell.....you took a shot. Most of the Mods you have done to Big Blue, have worked out well. The cam upgrade sounds really interesting. I know it's going to be a barn burner !
I kind of was taking a leap of faith with this based on some of the other videos I've seen. Didn't work out for me, no big deal. I will get coilovers & be back on track soon enough. The Cam is def going to be awesome, really pumped to get that bad boy in & see how it all plays out.
Wow that's a lot for a non daily yeah with suspension you have to choose your direction it's tough to get it all the drag setup your going in the right direction for our cars great video thanks
I have the same kit on my lancer. I'm going coil-overs. I'm not saying the handling is bad, but it rubs the wheels bad, and you feel every bump in the road.
I think the wheels are a big part of the problem as well. I have the springs and they workin just fine. The eibach alignment/camber kit is also a big must if you're having these problems. Also. In regards to 275s. This will NOT happen as I have 275s and am fine.
The tire type was actually a big reason as well. They were 315's but ended up having a larger foot print then most other listed 315's. I have nittos in the back now & rarely scrap anymore
There is a difference between getting coils and getting coils with aftermarket struts/shocks to go along with em if you get coils on stock struts/shocks only questions is why?
Congrats on the subscribers. If you want to keep the wide tires with the offset your rims have you might have to roll fenders for clearance and fitment so when it squats on launch or over bumps wheels just tuck in instead of rub.
R/T Life it cost me $1500 I have smaller tires though The rear are 275 40 20 The front tires are 245 45 20 The Hotchkis front and rear alignment is set up for that tire size very aggressive a lot stiffer a ride very heavy car stayed with the bigger side walls
Before switching out your springs, maybe you could try one of those autocross comps. You, know, the one in a parking lot where you race for time around cones. I have always wanted to do that. Thanks for the video.
I couldn't agree more about the Mopar Community. It is awesome. That totally sucks about the tire rubbing. Coil overs would be good from what I know about them.
Nice job man 18K that is sweet. You keep that content coming we'll keep spreading the word. Now I just got to find those three people that click the thumbs down button before I saw the video and there better not be any more after that.
Congrats man !!!! U deserve every bit of it ! The time and money u invest and your down to earth charm is paying off! U rock ! Keep going and congrats !!
I just installed some Ford Performance lowering springs on my new 2021 mustang and I noticed almost no difference. The front looks slightly better but overall the look changed almost not at all... what did happen is that when I went to get my car aligned apparently it was so off that they had to replace the camber bolts even though the car was only at 860 miles driven at the time. End of the day I spent 800 some bucks all together parts, installation and alignment after for no visual difference at all.
Did you just change out the springs did you have to do any other work like camber or suspension? How is the ride does it hit hard on bumps or anything I’m thinking bout the pro kit with 275 all around
Hey man keep up the good work!!! so let me ask you a question? I'm thinking on installing the H&R Springs 50888 on my charger hellcat got 305's in the back you think I shouldn't do it ? Even tho the rear will be 1.4" drop and front 1.7" and thank you for the information!!! :)
I'm looking into Lowering the rear just to level the car... The front is a two finger gap and the rear is a fist...Not sure if it's a good idea but I may go ahead and try it 🤷🏽♂️ waiting on the shop to call with the estimate
The main reason why you're having this issue is your offset... I have hellcat wheels 20x10.5back and 20x9.5 front. I run 285/40/20 rear 255/45/20 front. I have no rubbing issues. I also have bmr lowering springs with adjustable sway bar. It rides smooth and has a aggressive stance
I had a combination of a few things that didn't mix well. The suspension was just the last of the upgrades to go into place & it caused an issue. You're right though - wrong wheel offset combined with a very wide 315 & lowering springs. Once I changed my back tires it wasn't an issue anymore
@R/T Life trust me I've done my homework I've asked many ppl with lowered challengers. After I lowered I knew what rims and tires I can run. Anyways I enjoy your videos. Keep it up.
Thanks man I really appreciate it, 18k has been an awesome road. hahahaha Lou is awesome - always fun to get him on the channel. I need to do an install video just to have him on lol
Good video I to did lowering springs on my Rt challenger at first yeah it was hella nice looking and cornering but then it’s really bouncy . Any time you lower a car or truck you change the geometry from stock . So with that said you have to start changing parts . First you need to match the shocks and struts to your spring because the OME ones will not do the job . Then you have to worry about alignment issues so you all done
I decided to go with the Mopar lowering springs on mine. They ride and feel like the factory stock springs did. Sadly the offset on your wheels is the problem. If they were offset inward that wouldn't happen. Different wheels and you wouldn't have that, or maybe 305's instead of the 315's.
Yah I'm going to try some new tires before doing anything - then move on from there. Live & learn - all in the name of fun though. We will see how it plays out
Let's have a meet soon please! I wanna do it on the weekend bc my schedule is packed between me having physics as my major and working two jobs. All for that hemi! lol
definitely bummer news, I never had these issues on my mustangs but I believe you here and therefore won't be investing in lowering springs unless I find a different review on the other springs.
I might not have these issues with the stock rims with 245/275's in the back. The ride quality & my performance took a hit so overall not really liking the state the RT is in. The bad far out weight the good with this in my opinion
I have the Eibach Sportline Coilovers, same springs just with the sport shocks. Not adjustable unfortunately but a great quality product for the price. Paid only around $750 I believe. I never scrape but do have to watch out for sidewalks and parking blocks. Without the alignment kit I was still able to get my Challenger within factory specs after a wheel alignment. Rides better than stock and isn’t to much more rough and stiff than factory coilovers. Since you do have the springs already an option for you could be just to get the sport shocks from Eibach since the springs do come with a 1 million mile or 10 year warranty. But you should look into spacers as well since you do have some pretty big tires. Just giving you a option just in case you were wondering like I was brutha!✊🏼 Congratulations btw on the subs! Definitely one of my favorite Mopar channels and love your respect for all cars and trims!✊🏼

@R/T life, T hank goodness i found your video on this. I also have 315's in the rear and was looking into lowering the vehicle with springs. Was looking at H&R type for no particular reason. Did you by chance over go to Coil Overs? I don't know much about it but would you be able to Stiffen the rear up a bit to prevent the rub?
I was looking into the getting Bilstein B12 pro kit 30mm drop in front 35mm in rear. It says it uses Eibach pro kit springs. I have the 245x45xr20 do you know anyone who used this kit? Thank you for the support since day 1 - I really do appreciate it man. You've been here since day 1.
At some point I would like to do that. Thank you for the info, def appreciate it
congrats on the 18k my friend. I love my eibach pro-kit and wouldn’t change. 275’s on rear and zero issues. and yes cornering/handling/tight curves handles extremely well. good luck budddy in your decision.
I have 275s also and absolutely love the feel!
I was kicking around doing the pro-kit springs in the back to see if that helps. Might just do the coilovers because I like that they can be adjusted
Do you need any other parts along with the Lowering Springs in order to keep the wheels aligned? I'm thinking about lowering my Challenger RT with the Pro kit.
Zahki Ahmed no
@@jakewelding4172 No need for Camber kit?
I have a pro system on my charger with stock wheels. And no issues at all but when you start getting crazy with tire sizes is where you have issues if you like to have bigger tires wider rims coils are a better option
yah the oversized tires are def making it complicated.
Congrats on 15000 remember when it was 1000 ... anyway glad to see your get n rid of those springs .
You've been supporting since day 1 man - I really do appreciate it. Thank you very much
Congratulations on 18K brother that is just awesome!
@@RTLife You definitely want a good suspension! I know I can't believe how much rubbing that has happened! Your welcome brother and keep crushing it!
This is why I went with the pro kit and love it.
Since swapping my back tires there hasn't been any issues - but I'm glad those springs are working out for you
@chuckyoo what size tires do you have on your ride? I just got my 305s in the rear and im trying to find a lowering solution that doesn't rub.
chuckyoo I’m thinking of going with the pro kit but did you have to buy new control arms and back bushings, these places are telling me I need to get does done as well if I were to get the springs? Can you help me with a lil advice?
Whats the difference in the pro kit and the sportline
@@russellsolomon4814 pro kit sits like a scat and sport line sits like a lowered scat really low
Since I started doing that I've stopped destroying my car.
yah having the car sit higher is better long term but man it looks so much nicer slammed to the ground.
You need to roll your fenders because coil overs will do the same thing. When you do, that is just what you have to do. Or get a wider body kit that’s already been rolled
You know I love my Mopar springs. I haven’t had a single issue and my car drives perfect.
No issues launching or anything? How much did you pay for them?
I was lucky at the time, I was working at the local dodge dealer. It was $275 for the stage 1 springs and then $200 in labor because I received a discount. My best 0-60 is 4.5 seconds. Never had any issue at all with launching. My only issue now is I don’t like my Nitto 555 tires, they don’t hold traction.
How low did it come down using Mopar springs
Whats a good brand of coilover that lowers it because ive seen some coilover but they dont lower the car and thats what i want lower
Good stuff bro I just recently removed my lowering springs stage 1 runing 3:15 in the back whit Factory reproduction wheels and had a negative camber so just Rolling Stock now
yah it looks like I will be doing the same. The 315's in the back are 100% staying. Oh well it was worth giving it a try
I got the pro kit on my TA with 315 in the rear and the tire rubbed the fender like yours i got some airbags for the back and it solved the rubbing issue the other way to fix it would of been to go with a skinner tire and different back spacing on the wheels good luck Brother
It looks great but man you can't have the car eating into the tires like that! Bags are big time $$$ - how did it ride?
@@RTLife it rides alright and fixed the cutting into the tire but i think eventually it be better to just go with a skinner setup in the back IMO if you want to stay lowered
I use to drive c4 corvette stock height and it was annoying to slow down at any bump or ramp my opinion i would pay the extra bucks get adjustable springs
yah everything is a pain in the butt - every pothole it sounds like you ran over a boulder
I have 17 Scat pack Challenger
Running eibach Pros with 315(11) in rears and 275s(9.5) in front
(wheels MRR Daytona’s flow forged wheels)
no rubbing or issues at all ... had it on for 8 months now
I live up in Pa/Philly area
Your offset on the wheels are very important if it’s sticking out too much you’ll be rubbing or Hittin the fender .. gotta do your measurements right and the wheel setup and tires..
Once I switched to a different tire this issue went away. You're right though about measuring & making sure everything is going to work properly
Sportlines position the stock shocks out of its normal travel area. To correct this problem you would have mod the shock to the amount of inches lowered. In the long run it would be worth the coil overs.
it ended up being the tires I selected (wider then most for some reason) - the neg camber is still there but the rubbing has been eliminated.
Might want to get your alignment checked too. Driver's side wheel has more + camber than your pass wheel for it to rub more on one side than the other. 👍
I think it's because of the driving I do - in the fast lane there are a lot more dips on the drivers side (water drains).
Do you need all that other stuff for the pro kit or just sportline? I want to do it but don’t wanna but new cambers and struts n stuff
@@1323rodriguez They recommend them for both but you can get away without the alignment kits with the Pro Kit springs.
Thank you for the response back
@@1323rodriguez You are good up to 275. Anything wider will have rubbing issues.
Thanks for the heads up I've been hesitant about getting them if it wasn't for you I probably would have got them and been miserable thanks for being the guinea pig that's why your channel is growing your straight up
The ride quality isn't the best either - Def don't just do the springs. Thanks man I appreciate the support.
Congratulations on 18k. Your channel is fun and informative at the same time and one of the best channels that show the Brotherhood of Mopar.
Thanks man I really appreciate the continued support. Def having a lot of fun & learning quiet a bit about these cars.
All I can tell you is prepare for about an 1.5" drop. I have 0 issues when using the proper tires on my 20x9 fronts & 20x10 back
Okay thanks.
I just saw those - not a bad price tag at all. Def let me know what you think of them after install & if they rub or anything - thanks man
Ah yes good Ol Pilgrim State Psych center.
Really can’t wait to film more.
lol - thanks man. Hey we all start somewhere! it really is a lot of fun - do it for your own enjoyment. I appreciate the continued support
Get a pair of H&R lowering springs I haven't had a problem yet and love them
What size are your back tires?
315 rear with 3mm spacer on hellcat replicas and 275 up front nitto 555
My splitter on my car barely fits over the parking curb as it is. I imagine if I lowered my car, I would take my front end off every time if I wasn't careful.
yah it's a pain - you have to drive & park very carefully
Pete wow only $300 for springs and install!!! That’s crazy cheap
I wish. $275ish for the springs and $300 for the install.
I have a 15 300 been on h&r sport springs I live in the north east and I learned that it's hard to go over speed bumps and potholes and some driveways but the car feels a lot more sturdy and safer to take corners alignment might be an issue i got adjustable ball joints inside of a complete control arm the front alignment is the issue the rear is very adjustable even tire wear ,, I been driving lowered cars since day one and I daily all my cars if you're thinking about lowering your can just send it and go for it you might have a better experience depending on where you live and the condition of the roads .. good luck
I have 305/45 20 on rear and don’t have drag same springs
How are you liking the setup?
This makes me glad I got the pro kit instead of sport line. I have the spc adjustable control arms just need to install them to help with alignment and get the bushings to adjust the rear camber. The springs are turning out to be the cheapest part of the whole lowering upgrade.
yah the springs are cheap. Def not an a cheap thing to do to your car once you start adding up everything.
I really enjoyed listening to you drone on and on about all your problems. Here's the issue, your tires are too wide, they are sticking out of the wheel wells. Of course they are going to rub when you hit a bump! Maybe you should try setting up your car correctly.
Thanks babe
I have the Sportline springs and never had any rubbing issues. For the price they are hard to beat.
What size are your back tires? Yah the price is great on them for sure
What about going with just the pro kit instead of the sport line? Doesn’t have as much drop
Coil overs are always the way to go. Especially if you want it to handle better and be a smoother ride.
yah I def need this thing having the best suspension setup - everything I'm doing is for performance so the suspension should be setup that way.
I've heard that the springs make the ride bumpy or stiff over bumps I guess. Sounds like the coil overs might be a better way to go.
When you hit a bump it freaks you out. Sounds like someone took a bat to your car BOOM! def snaps you out of any day dreaming lol
Wow that's a lot for a non daily yeah with suspension you have to choose your direction it's tough to get it all the drag setup your going in the right direction for our cars great video thanks
In the short term I may try putting my back springs on, see how that does. Not 100% sure what the hell to do - this is def not the answer though.
I have the same kit on my lancer. I'm going coil-overs. I'm not saying the handling is bad, but it rubs the wheels bad, and you feel every bump in the road.
yah the rubbing was annoying - I ended up changing my tires & it has helped a bit
I don’t know your size tire u running but couldn’t u go with a smaller sidewall like 315/40 or 30 etc
I could do that - it would probably work. The ride quality will likely be brutal though. Thank you though for the suggestion
@@RTLife 👌👌👌👌 awesome. Just figured I'd ad the comment for those watching the video now. Put some more info out there you know?
There is a difference between getting coils and getting coils with aftermarket struts/shocks to go along with em if you get coils on stock struts/shocks only questions is why?
Congrats on the subscribers. If you want to keep the wide tires with the offset your rims have you might have to roll fenders for clearance and fitment so when it squats on launch or over bumps wheels just tuck in instead of rub.
I took my charger to Hotchkis everything works fine sway bars springs sway bar links front in alignment the springs are linear not progressive
how much did it end up costing you?
R/T Life it cost me $1500 I have smaller tires though The rear are 275 40 20 The front tires are 245 45 20 The Hotchkis front and rear alignment is set up for that tire size very aggressive a lot stiffer a ride very heavy car stayed with the bigger side walls
Before switching out your springs, maybe you could try one of those autocross comps. You, know, the one in a parking lot where you race for time around cones. I have always wanted to do that. Thanks for the video.
I should give it a try, it would be a lot of fun - probably wouldn't do that good though. I stink at that kind of driving!
I couldn't agree more about the Mopar Community. It is awesome. That totally sucks about the tire rubbing. Coil overs would be good from what I know about them.
live & learn - I really wanted to give it a try - see how it all played out. Mopar community is def awesome

I appreciate it man - Thank you for supporting since day 1 man. You the man!
It’s cuz u got 315 on the rear... unless u flare the rear wheel wells isn’t the coil overs going to be scraping as well?
right now I'm going to put the stock springs on the back until I can figure out what to do. We will see how it plays out
I just installed some Ford Performance lowering springs on my new 2021 mustang and I noticed almost no difference.
You should have went with the pro kit, that’s what I got 2 years ago, sits just right with no problems, have 295s in rear.
I was originally going to go with them but ended up saying let me just go sportline. Should've went pro kit - live & learn
Did you just change out the springs did you have to do any other work like camber or suspension? How is the ride does it hit hard on bumps or anything I’m thinking bout the pro kit with 275 all around
@@RTLife using pro kit do you need to change cambers or suspension or anything else or can you just swap out springs and be s ok
You doing good bro! I’m have a 05 magnum/charger 11-14 R/T. Just installed coil overs and have no problem with them thus far!
I'll take handling any day over just drag performance. Mist of the people I line up against it on the highway rolling
Yah most on the street are doing pulls on a open highway. I liked them because it gave a nicer looking stance
Tires that stick out past your fenders and lowering springs dont mix. If you really like the look get slightly narrower tires?
The coilover kit should work - it's just so damn $$$.... But I want this RT launching like a beast.

@@RTLife will do brother
Chris how did tht work out just lowering the rear
@@brandonwalker2554 The shop said it would be fine...but I decided to just save up and get it bagged.
Blame the springs for everything else wrong with your car. Good job planning and checking stuff... not.
Keep it up.
If you find coilover kit can you post the web cause I’ve also been looking and can’t find this anywhere
Yes once I find the coilover kit I like then I will post it. No problem - have to look more into what options are out there
Thank you for your time and input!
This is HUGE info.
Mahalo brah!
Coil over for sure sure now!
Glad this was helpful - Coil over is def a much better option
Coil over or spring, if you don't have the correct offset on your rims and the correct tires to fit, the problem will not go away.

We will see how it plays out

definitely bummer news, I never had these issues on my mustangs but I believe you here and therefore won't be investing in lowering springs unless I find a different review on the other springs.
Thank you for the heads up & knowledge - I appreciate it. I may end up looking into the Eibach shocks et. We will see - I def need to make a move though because this current setup isn't working for me

As soon as I switched from all season to the NT05R's this issue went away - so I stuck with the springs
I have the Continental extreme contact DWS. So that seems like it will be an issue.
That's why ,315 and just get the pro kit springs the sportline to low
I was looking into the getting Bilstein B12 pro kit 30mm drop in front 35mm in rear. It says it uses Eibach pro kit springs. I have the 245x45xr20 do you know anyone who used this kit? You think I will have same issue. Of course it says this Bilstein B12 kit has everything set up for the year charger I have. Thanks for any help.
Congrats on 18K!! Good information to know about the springs, I enjoyed Lou!! Looking forward to the cam!!
I def need to get the suspension situation figured out asap. Yah Lou is the man - def a funny guy.
Why why why do u have to tease me so much lol God I wish I was still NYC and New Jersey right now I would be there right now lol got me drooling lol I cant stop watching. Lol
hahahaha! We're having another meet soon - time to have some mopar fun!
What is the music from?? i cant put my finger on that sample?
Just order the sport lines today cuz I liked the way yours looked. I think I will be ok because I have 275 in the rear. Hope it works out bro. Congratulations on the 18k
I think with the 275's you should be fine esp if you have stock times that are tucked in. Let me know how it works out for you
@@RTLife I have the same wheels you have 20×10 in the rear. I'll keep you posted.
@@RTLife quick update on the springs I installed them looks great. Getting in and out of driveways is not fun. Lol.
@@tommy2tone8650 what about other aspects of them being installed? STANCE, etc...
I bought the eibach springs . My rear tires always wear out . They said the “aligned the car “ after . Anyone knows why this happens ?
Thanks for the video! I was going to buy some eibachs for the daytona. Thinking of coilovers now.
The coilovers are really the best route to go, just the most expensive! Springs look great but the ride is mhhhhh & the performance loss def sucks
Any plans on A CHICAGO RUN WITH CT HELLCAT
I would actually be up for something like that - have to check with him.
Lol bro its not us, it's you and the content of your channel.
Great channel
Thank you Sid I really appreciate it man. I really enjoy this & def meeting some great people along the way
Wish i would of saw this video a long time ago. I brought eibach lowering springs for my dodge durango rt and bottoms out and wheels scrape when I have my kids in the last rear seat. Looks amazing tho lol
