MORE ON MY NEW SKATES
I recently received a new pair of skates curtesy of Wizard Skates, available through Shop Task.
Skates : shop-task.com/....
Wizard Skating website : www.wizardskati...
They are the new Wizard Basic PR80
Seba SX plastic shell - Wizard PR80 prototype frame - Prototype Intuition Liners - Seba Street Invader 80mm/84a wheels - Wicked Abec 9 bearings
So far the skates are preforming amazing. The plastic shell is almost identical to the carbon fibre. They feel great. Still need more testing.

One of the things I love so much about Shaun's style is that there's an inherent humility to it. If you just watched him going in a straight line, you might think he's a beginner. As you watch him it becomes clear that he is merely ultra efficient, keeping his body in the most stable and balanced position at all times, even when doing easy things. There's not an ounce "flash" or "swagger" anywhere in his skating. What this observation makes overwhelmingly clear to me is that skating, to Shaun, is a wholly personal endeavor. He is not out there to impress, merely to feel and express joy. To that I say, Shaun, consider your expression successful! I'm a few months from turning 40, and have picked up inline skating in a big way this year. I feel more in tune with my body than perhaps any other time in my life, and I plan on continuing to skate until I physically can't anymore. Watching you skate has been my #1 inspiration! Thanks for everything you do.
Wonderful and 100% true comment
Thank you so much. You are 100% correct. I skate for the wonderful feeling I get.
I was thinking that same exact thing watching this. Every time I watch shaun, no matter whether he's bombing a hill or doing some wizard sh!t, it always LOOKS like he's just going in a straight line. His 180's look textbook perfect, but you almost don't notice because he's so damn SUBTLE
Same here. I’m 38 and getting back into skating, but learning the correct techniques. Damn Achilles still healing so Skating should be nice. Burns the same calories of running but less stress on joints.
Really glad to see these videos filmed with a cameraperson -- the 360 bobble head selfie stick videos just aren't the same
Agreed. Much prefer filming in this fashion. And it is way more fun.
my thoughts exactly!
Damn wild boy
when Shaun went under that railing I had to rewind to see it again it was sick
Me too hahah
))) +1
+2 i rewinded 2 times but always think ok is easy but what with the cameraman alex he has always to follow wherever shaun goes
and loves the switch with the camera both are the best together of courses alone is simple
greating from belgium no skating here without facemask ;-(( again second wave is raising here
I think he's the most peaceful person I've ever seen. Greetings from Colombia man! Great content.
Namaste
Yes he is. Also almost all skaters I see are very cool.
James. Agnelo
Bravo!!!! Really emotional!!!
When Shaun is carving like a madman to cut speed at this section 3:27, how is cameraman Alex shedding his speed? He seems to be filming without any carves at all! 😳 Thanks, gentlemen.
maybe just t-stopping^^
T stopping. 🏅
@@FlowSkate AKA bye bye wheels!
I heard t-stopping :D
@@ThatShandyBear that distinct sound of money being spread over a pavement :P
1:09 squirrel!
🐿 good eye!
Well, now I regret not going out for an early morning skate haha. It gets too hot here so quickly, cannot wait until fall and winter! Great flow and great video as always!
Thank you!
Bro your town is so smooth and horizontal. 🥺 I live in an old rough hillside town 😭 Even the car parks have a massive angle..
I'm same
These videos make me soooo happy ! 😄
I started roller blades this years end of January, and i discover shop task end of Feb. now I am good at skating I can go out to street, All thanks to Shaun and his team. everyday before I finish my day I watch Shop Task channel.
Great to hear! Thank you for the support.
That was (for me) the scariest video I've seen from you guys in a long time. Glad you guys know how to stop. I don't know who's better, you guys are awesome, keep it up.
Thank you my friend.
True story! I got nervous a couple of times while watching... Great Scott!
man . I go skating in Calgary all the time, I wish if we meet in person someday.
That downhill skills🙏🏻 hope I can do that one day as well
Downhill technique is simple. Control speed ahead of. Time, and constantly. Then when you want more speed you can control less and the speed will pick up. Key is to start dropping speed even before you get any speed.. ;)
Me to
So impressive. I feel the freedom, you guys are incredible athletes
Started pouring rain the moment I started to get dressed for skating today, so I'm very jealous.
January I fractured my spine and last week I had surgery and so much relief. Can’t wait to get back skating.
lol,
Always admiring ur style..so confident & accurate on wheels
thanks for the quality videos for us💛
You’re videos are very soothing. I enjoy them.
What a joyride down the hill, felt like I was there
5:18 WOW, that was so unexcepted ! ❤️
Man i have a lot to learn! These vids are inspirational
I love both of your guys flow, it's so smooth and controlled, and the videos are very well put together, always enjoy watching them, and that was a great technique for chopping off speed going down steep hills, thanks for sharing your flow.
Thank you for the support.
I left my inline & boards in my college, my village roads are deserted in lockdown and calling me all the time...
I love these ShopTask videos! They’re so relaxing to watch after a nice skating session
You are skating so good at Sunset like every time. you are the man. thx you for good music and skating...Thx for your friend to take video, too...
Inline skating have always been on my "things to do before I die"list.i always loved ice speed skating, such a beautiful smooth sport and your videos guys are the ones I enjoy the most watching.almost 3 years ago a was diagnosed with an untreateble cancer and after a few days asking me why?why me?I bought a pair of rollerblades thinking it's now or never.i really don't have a family to fall back every time I feel blue but skating puts a smile on my face everytime and I can forget what I have inside me.i have a cycling background so i got the basics pretty quick but I do hope one day,if God allow me to,to do some of the awesome tricks you guys do.wachting you and your cameraman brings tears of joy.thank you and all the community for making my life bearable.i just wish I started before practising this beautiful sport.🙏🙏🤜❤️
That city looks beautiful. What a great ride.
Your skills and talent amaze me and I'm a quad skater. Thank you for your videos. 🤩👍

What a RUSH!! Excellent video guys. Thank you.
I really hope, one day, to come there in Canada and skate with you, just for one session. It would be great!
Take care Shaun ;-)
Cheers from Italy
Awesome. All the way from Kenya Africa.
i love how childlish shaun becomes when he noticed that his powerslides / driftings are working x) he is like discovering skating again (and hello from France btw :P )
It's so good to see you guys back together again. I've really been missing these flows😊
Feels great to be back
Loved this video, wish I could skate. Never learn when I was little and now at 60 it's too late, but I just love to watch people that can.
Wow. Shaun is insane and the camera man, twice! Amazing skills both
real nice! didn't skate for a year or so makes me wanna go back at it!
AMAZING! Thank you guys for the good job! You are an inspiration. Never stop it!
I really enjoy your videos Shaun. Flow skating, beautiful places, great filming, different camera angles. You make skating so exciting . Thanks for these videos by the way. Greetings from Ghana.
My pleasure. Thank you from the support.
The video I wanted to watch now that I'll be 15 days in quarantine. I already miss skating :(
Thank you Shaun.
Get well soon.
So many good spots and uncapped rails. I'm jealous!
very nice thanks guys!! i particularly liked the knee bend slide under the hand rail at the end that was slick ive tried that and hit my head i just cant seem to get low enough BONK lol. glad you guys are out having fun!!!
Oh man, what a wonderful surface in the town!
The videos are always amazing, thank you!
Did you get profile pic created by that reddit dude? Looks cool
Adam Zocchi Thanks! I made it on Procreate on my iPad👍🏼
@@pointblankblading7145 I want one! Awesome!
Adam Zocchi I can make whatever skate or logo you want, I have a bunch of free time!
5:18 it's so cooooolllll
So Awesome to watch :) I have just bought my first inline skate since I was a kid and I am excited to learn again and more. Still struggling getting confidence to break :D
Wishing my city's streets be that smooth. Awesome video as always!!!
i love the way you guys to skates, Pro.. peace from jakarta Indonesia 😎
I think I wanna move to Canada, the streets are always empty, unlike NYC. Beautiful
Awesome, that's the inspiration I need before I head out with the skates. Sick flow as always. I have trouble parallel sliding on the flat but on a downhill it's much easier
I tend to over rotate when sliding downhills. This was a good improvement.
@@FlowSkate You managed the speed really well especially on that narrow path. Its hard to find a happy medium on narrow paths, either the speed gets too much to do the tight turns due to lack of space or I turn so much I kill all my speed.
Amazing skating and amazing scenery, keep 'em coming!
Muito bom uns dos melhores vídeo que vocês fizeram parabéns 🇧🇷🇨🇦
Love your style bro! you are an inspiration to me! Namaste!
We knew what you meant, Shaun! Blistering session! Fluid and precise as always.👌
want to see more of Alex please! his style is awesome
Happiness of free riding,,😎😎😎
I really like watching your videos, I am learning a lot about techniques, but I am still a little scared to jump and brake, but your videos motivate me a lot, greetings from Kearney Nebraska
So cool! You are my 6 year old little girl's skater inspiration
That is awesomeness. Tell her I said hello!!
the dive under the rail was impressive)
Your town looks really nice.
Nice drifting!!!, love Àlex jump at 4:25😜
Very cool session man! Concratulation goody vibes from Brazil PR Curitiba Skate lovers!
I'll admit that I've never really wanted to go to Calgary, but it does look like a really fun place to skate.
It is a great city for skating.
0:42 no one is talking about the bunny :D Love the videos
that was so smoooth when u went under the rail at the end
Such a relaxing and fun skating video
When he skated on the grass I screamed lol
Bliss beautiful thing to watch loved it and thumbs up for the camera 🎥 man 👨 too 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Bravo les gars vous êtes super 👍
How comes your streets are always empty , for us filming in the streets is hard. Nice video
Dude that was sick! Just started skating a few weeks ago myself. Hope I get that good one day
damn that hill scared me a little. the train station segment was awesome tho. it looks like pavement heaven! also, great choice in music!
Thanks PG
sonho ter um lugar assim para patinar.. top demais !!
Awesome flow 🙏🏼 great content and style 👍🏼
Awesome, always in awe of your your dedication to the sport......and I need to practice lol
What a fantastic camera man. Kudos to ya boi behind the viewfinder
Agreed. Alex or did himself.
These videos are so satisfying to watch! Excellent camerawork and skating. The music really makes it. What song is used in the video?
Really great vibes in this video. Can’t wait to go skate.
Oh man if I lived in a place like that
These vids make me so joyful 😄
Greetings from Slovakia! :)
Amazing and beautiful video. Good work Shaun
Nice and smooth Man I really enjoyed it...
Awesome flow. It's so relaxing to watch you. I hope I'll be at least a tiny bit as good as you one day. I don't have much time to skate and here in Italy you CANNOT skate on the roads because you risk a ticket... Also, the roads where I live are in a really bad state :(
Amo seus vídeos! Transmitem paz e liberdade!🙏🏾🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You continue to inspire brother
Thank you my friend.
so soothing yet so exciting
Namaste. And you guys are awesome
Marcelo Giordano fron Brazil. II love yors "roles".
How the hell did you keep behind him on the last downhill while keeping the camera steady? Dragging the entire time or something?? Amazing stuff
Dragging the entire time.
Great video again! Thanks. I have a question about city-skating that I have never seen being addressed. When you skate (fast) in traffic and among lots of people, what do you do if, suddenly, a car or a person turns or does something unexpected? I know you are a fast stopper. In fact, one of the best skaters there is. How do you stop fast enough? Have you encountered this problem?
Hey Stefan
I try to ALWAYS assess the situation know where the danger is. At 4:12 in this video I hit the grass because I could not see if thee as any traffic on the road ahead. Alex the cameraman went out on to road and it scared me. In stead of planning an emergency stop I look for an exit on to grass or somewhere else. If there was no escape I would immediately drag, then plot and turn and finally I would fall into a baseball slide.
@@FlowSkate baseball slide?
@@stefand1614 falling to the ground i guess
@@aurabalita6406 ahh, of course. Being a swede where baseball is but non-existing, the reference did not strike me. Thanks.
Sliding out on my side.

I love your videos and the skate flow in them. Keep up the work man.
At the end is Sunnyside name of station or the exit ?
Thank you. Yes, it is Sunnyside station.
5:20 move was sick!
Fantástico. Me emociono só de ver...
Cool, camera guy did great too
