I have had to stop trusting my intuition, as it has led me to bad choices all my life. I would say, instead of blindly trusting your intuition, try to practice the things you have thought out and make it so it happens automatically, or intuitively.
Your intuition can be enhanced by your intellect. Our evolved bodies and minds never got the time to adapt to the recent changes in the human environment. We have to use our intellect to shift the weights back on to our side.
Does our heart really contribute to intuition??
Is it proven scientifically?
Intuition is more on how things feel. Is it right? is it wrong? Stop giving shit to people's opinions and start feeling what is really right for you.

In our minds it is far from an accurate mirror of how things happened. I prefer to think that the past is recorded by the universe.

The reason and the results, it's neutral. No ego there, it's just you and the universe.
