He wasn't collecting logs at the time they were screaming at him. You can see on Bob's POV that he was also downed by the explosion. So they were yelling at a deaf man who was also downed. Kelvin is accidentally their new Wade.
I just want to thank Lixian for putting the text on screen whenever the guys are talking over each other so that we can read what they're actually saying. It's a life saver!
It especially helps since my work is so loud that my hearing has gotten worse, which means I already struggle hearing things properly nowadays, even when people aren’t talking over each other. Lixian is lifesaver tbh.

I love how in the forest, they picked the best possible spot for a base, were extremely productive in making a huge defensive stone wall, built a tall ass cabin and gazebo, grew lots of blueberries, had many sources of food, explored caves and killed many enemies. But in sons of the forest: they picked the spot closest to the enemy camp, repeatedly threatened and frightened Virginia, killed enemies that weren’t even attacking, Wade repeatedly throw logs to hinder and kill mark, Bob repeatedly throws stones to kill Mark, making Mark’s health bar always low and gets one shotted by enemies and are overall unproductive and a menace.
I love how in the first Forest game they picked the best possible space to set up their base and in this one they somehow managed to do the exact opposite.
apparently their base in The Forest was one of the only spots in the map where there are no cannibal patrol routes. doesnt seem like the case this time lmao

Yeah, first it was mildly funny but over time it became more annoying till it came to frustration. Mark just tries to build, survive or whatever to play the game fairly and Bob and Wade keeps slowing him down or bullying him. I would've incapt them and let them respawn if I was in Mark's shoes. 😅
The three armed/legged woman can be befriended by letting her slowly get closer to you (keep your weapons away and don’t approach her). She can’t be given commands like Kelvin, but eventually she’ll give and receive gifts, including outfits and weapons and a GPS locator

The man just wants to play the damn game.
@@IrisCorven I see your point. I'll (probably) keep watching, but I loved the previous series as it felt like you were watching a hilarious adventure between 3 friends. The first time they saw the 3 legged mutant, their entertaining conversation about food as they were building, when they were exploring the caves and the lab... those are some of my favorite moments. But this episode, it felt like nothing was getting done and I ended up zoning out. On the upside, at least we got the moment of Mark seeing a motor and thinking to himself "I can stab this". :P
while watching these is entertaining, i really admire marks patience when dealing with bob and wade doing everything in their power to get in the way of mark, who clearly is just trying to experience the game
It's a double-edged sword. It's nice to see them playing this finally, but also really annoying to see them goofing off for 90% of the almost three hours they've played so far. By this point in their OG Forest playthrough, they'd actually learned a decent amount of the game. And Wade wasn't purposely trying to force laughs with throwing logs at them, or constantly killing their chance of getting the extra NPC that might actually help them with most of the projects they come up with.

Man, I have to admit this episode got my blood pressure so high. Like, I feel for Mark just trying to build defenses before the big enemies show up, but Bob and Wade are sabotaging the only one of them that has 1/5 of a plan. Not a full plan, mind you. Just 1/5 of one. But still.

I'm guessing you haven't watched the videos Wade and Bob put out or seen the episode where Mark was chasing her around waving a spear at her. It had a fish on it, but that doesn't change what it was or how the AI reacted. If people think Mark was actually trying to make friends with her there, they're doing him a huge disservice by seriously underestimating his intelligence. He's not stupid, he knew chasing her around with a spear with a fish on it wouldn't change the fact that it was a spear and was perceived as a threat.

@@T0dlich TO BE COMPLETELY HONEST, I've been equally frustrated watching their side when Mark, Wade, Bob and Jack were playing We Have to GO Deeper and Mark just trolled the crap out of them by messing with the ship. So much so that by the end all three of them were an unbelievable cacophony of "It's not your fault". I think between them it is a thing they do but sometimes it gets annoying while watching.
Fun fact: if you didn’t attack the crawlers they would have been friendly for about 2-3 days and you wouldn’t have seen an actual humanoid for even longer EDIT: you should be burning every body you kill for bone armor. The lack of bodies would have as well prevented their friends to get angry. You basically started a war… I can’t wait to see when y’all meet the big ones😂
Nah, wade was completely and utterly disinterested in playing, it was very obvious. He was verging on annoying and i love wade. And it felt more like a 40 minute long ad for distractable rather then them playing together for fun. Hopefully when they play the next time it gets a bit better.

Any co-op game these three play it generally boils down to Mark doing most of the important tasks while Bob and Wade have some useless side project to do when they're not harassing Mark.

Know you've been busy with other thing's like Iron Lung, that being said this is one of my favorite series to watch. The first game was how i found yours, Bob's and Wades content. Lol never laughed so hard then when you accidentally destroyed the entire tower with one swoop. Would love to see more of this game or similar.
I admire Mark's patience cause if I was trying to seriously play a game and my friends were just fucking around like Bob and Wade, i think I would scream and then cry.
Fun fact about the fire trap is that when a normal to small cannibal steps on the trap it flips up and puts their head in a noose that hold them slightly off the ground as the Molotov breaks below them setting them on fire as they choke.

I have to commend Mark for his patience. If I were in his position, I would have lost my nerve and started screaming. I have very little patience for people who act like idiots and seem to enjoy bugging me more than working with me.
I'd like to take the time to thank Mark for keeping in the entire clip of him chopping the wood logs into spikes, and not just editing out that extra lengthy superfluous activity.
Probably, I mean he has had to deal with wade throwing logs, random builds that are definitely driving his ocd off the charts, having rocks repeatedly tossed at him, random changes made to things he builds, Kelvin being randomly assigned to pointless things, nobody else doing anything besides him and Kelvin outside of a stone wall Mark helped finish and a random log structure mark also did most off the work for. His love for his friends and his ability to know that the game isn't that important by comparison is probably the only thing that has stopped him getting mad so far. But tbh I wouldn't be surprised if he talks to them in-between episodes to ask them to tone things down a little.
@@adambrown6669 I sure as hell hope so. This is getting painful, the amount of forced bits Wade and Bob try to do in these playthroughs. Their OG Forest playthrough was so good because they took the time to learn the game and come up with neat ideas. This has been a whirlwind of Bob and Wade trying to make gags, while Mark keeps trying to finish a task he set for himself. And then Wade and Bob sabotaging him. It's like... Not great to watch, comparatively. Especially when you go a full three 40-minute episodes hoping for there to be a nice team effort, and everyone to celebrate something they did together.
@@IrisCorven I'm pretty sure this entire playthrough was recorded at one time and then just broken up into several parts. I do think that they're all doing bits during this, trying to make the content "interesting" while the base game and them playing is interesting enough for us. I'm sure it's also to keep them entertained as well, since SotF can be a bit of a slow beginning. I did mention in another of the videos that I kinda hate they were doing the bits because the game itself doesn't need it once you start getting into it. But in general, they were playing off each other and even Wade being Wade is something they both jokingly put up with. As the episode progressed they all kinda toned down their bits and were more themselves, but the logs seemed to be much more genuine. Mark wasn't enjoying the logsled thing and so went on his own. I'm sure if they do more, it'll be more relaxed and their usual "Forest" style.
@@slackolantern I sure hope you're right. Their old Raft playthrough and the new one are night and day, in an entertainment sense. They had a ton of fun in it originally, and the "bits" and laughter came naturally. The new one was a lot of forced silliness and little to no progress each episode, and wore on my nerves due to the seeming requirement of doing an impromptu Distractible pitch each episode, and stretching the episodes out as long as possible to have a venue for that pitch The same thing seems to be happening here: OG Forest was amazing, the accidental deconstruction moment lives rent free in my head, the quarry rescue mission, etc... PLUS they were interested in the story, and progressing it. This one feels the same as the new Raft playthrough - A lot of attempts at forced bits when it usually just comes naturally, and a slow delivery of content, even down to the necessity of the "Hey, you guys know we have a podcast?" thing.
@@IrisCorven Look at how the new Raft playthrough started, they were doing a few bits here and there, but it eventually smoothed out to mostly them just having fun with the game. I'm sure it'll work out that way with this game, as SotF has some good content, you just have to get to it. You can see it even in this last episode, they're having more fun and getting into the game more.

Whenever I think about letting the intrusive thoughts win while I play online games with my friends, I think about Mark playing games with Bob and Wade. Specifically Wade.

It's a double-edged sword. It's nice to see them playing this finally, but also really annoying to see them goofing off for 90% of the almost three hours they've played so far. By this point in their OG Forest playthrough, they'd actually learned a decent amount of the game. And Wade wasn't purposely trying to force laughs with throwing logs at them, or constantly killing their chance of getting the extra NPC that might actually help them with most of the projects they come up with.

Man, I have to admit this episode got my blood pressure so high. Like, I feel for Mark just trying to build defenses before the big enemies show up, but Bob and Wade are sabotaging the only one of them that has 1/5 of a plan. Not a full plan, mind you. Just 1/5 of one. But still.

I'm guessing you haven't watched the videos Wade and Bob put out or seen the episode where Mark was chasing her around waving a spear at her. It had a fish on it, but that doesn't change what it was or how the AI reacted. If people think Mark was actually trying to make friends with her there, they're doing him a huge disservice by seriously underestimating his intelligence. He's not stupid, he knew chasing her around with a spear with a fish on it wouldn't change the fact that it was a spear and was perceived as a threat.

@@T0dlich TO BE COMPLETELY HONEST, I've been equally frustrated watching their side when Mark, Wade, Bob and Jack were playing We Have to GO Deeper and Mark just trolled the crap out of them by messing with the ship. So much so that by the end all three of them were an unbelievable cacophony of "It's not your fault". I think between them it is a thing they do but sometimes it gets annoying while watching.
Fun fact: if you didn’t attack the crawlers they would have been friendly for about 2-3 days and you wouldn’t have seen an actual humanoid for even longer EDIT: you should be burning every body you kill for bone armor. The lack of bodies would have as well prevented their friends to get angry. You basically started a war… I can’t wait to see when y’all meet the big ones😂

Nah, wade was completely and utterly disinterested in playing, it was very obvious. He was verging on annoying and i love wade. And it felt more like a 40 minute long ad for distractable rather then them playing together for fun. Hopefully when they play the next time it gets a bit better.

Know you've been busy with other thing's like Iron Lung, that being said this is one of my favorite series to watch. The first game was how i found yours, Bob's and Wades content. Lol never laughed so hard then when you accidentally destroyed the entire tower with one swoop. Would love to see more of this game or similar.

Probably, I mean he has had to deal with wade throwing logs, random builds that are definitely driving his ocd off the charts, having rocks repeatedly tossed at him, random changes made to things he builds, Kelvin being randomly assigned to pointless things, nobody else doing anything besides him and Kelvin outside of a stone wall Mark helped finish and a random log structure mark also did most off the work for.
His love for his friends and his ability to know that the game isn't that important by comparison is probably the only thing that has stopped him getting mad so far. But tbh I wouldn't be surprised if he talks to them in-between episodes to ask them to tone things down a little.
@@adambrown6669 I sure as hell hope so. This is getting painful, the amount of forced bits Wade and Bob try to do in these playthroughs. Their OG Forest playthrough was so good because they took the time to learn the game and come up with neat ideas. This has been a whirlwind of Bob and Wade trying to make gags, while Mark keeps trying to finish a task he set for himself. And then Wade and Bob sabotaging him. It's like... Not great to watch, comparatively. Especially when you go a full three 40-minute episodes hoping for there to be a nice team effort, and everyone to celebrate something they did together.
@@IrisCorven I'm pretty sure this entire playthrough was recorded at one time and then just broken up into several parts. I do think that they're all doing bits during this, trying to make the content "interesting" while the base game and them playing is interesting enough for us. I'm sure it's also to keep them entertained as well, since SotF can be a bit of a slow beginning.
I did mention in another of the videos that I kinda hate they were doing the bits because the game itself doesn't need it once you start getting into it. But in general, they were playing off each other and even Wade being Wade is something they both jokingly put up with.
As the episode progressed they all kinda toned down their bits and were more themselves, but the logs seemed to be much more genuine. Mark wasn't enjoying the logsled thing and so went on his own. I'm sure if they do more, it'll be more relaxed and their usual "Forest" style.
@@slackolantern I sure hope you're right. Their old Raft playthrough and the new one are night and day, in an entertainment sense. They had a ton of fun in it originally, and the "bits" and laughter came naturally. The new one was a lot of forced silliness and little to no progress each episode, and wore on my nerves due to the seeming requirement of doing an impromptu Distractible pitch each episode, and stretching the episodes out as long as possible to have a venue for that pitch
The same thing seems to be happening here: OG Forest was amazing, the accidental deconstruction moment lives rent free in my head, the quarry rescue mission, etc... PLUS they were interested in the story, and progressing it.
This one feels the same as the new Raft playthrough - A lot of attempts at forced bits when it usually just comes naturally, and a slow delivery of content, even down to the necessity of the "Hey, you guys know we have a podcast?" thing.
@@IrisCorven Look at how the new Raft playthrough started, they were doing a few bits here and there, but it eventually smoothed out to mostly them just having fun with the game. I'm sure it'll work out that way with this game, as SotF has some good content, you just have to get to it. You can see it even in this last episode, they're having more fun and getting into the game more.
