Well…. Considering I’m watching this 6yrs later and still listening to Ben’s music, I’m guessing fans aren’t getting ‘bored’ with his music!!!!!

I will say, Ben, that I can't ever see myself getting bored with your music as the interviewer suggested. Also, I agree with you, you keep the sound that I love but each album, each performance you bring it with quality songwriting and a damn fine band. Well done gentlemen.

People will find anything to hate about a band. BB are fantastic, great songwriters for sure, consistency in this case is quality, fuck the haters that complain about them not changing their sound drastically. You don't know what you've got till it's gone. In this case, if BB were to change their sound.

I really have learned a lot just by investigating Benjamin as a person. I really admire and support what he says from 7:44 to 8:21. He really is sincere and full of gratitude for what he can do with his life. I think his music and talent is really inspirational and wish him the best!

I don't mind the comments on Rush... I don't think they're really saying the band sucks, but it's just not what they like. I'm not a huge rush fan either - as a musician do I respect them? Of course, there's no doubt. No professional musician should say they don't respect the members of Rush because it's so clear that they're talented and paved the way for thousands of musicians. I think Ben and Jasen would agree, they don't think the music sucks, they just don't care for it so they don't listen to it. For example I may get hate but I'm not a big Beatles fan. Same reasoning, it just isn't something I like to listen to, but as a rock musicians I know I respect those musicians for what they've done. :)

    • @AnnaLVajda

Yeah I'm not a Rush fan either and as a Canadian it's almost expected you ought to be. Lees voice is in a range I dislike is all. It's just societies demand for conformity you MUST like the same bands you MUST think the same way etc. Even Ben with his flying he says straight out he has a phobia is not saying it's to fight climate change or anything which he could virtue signal about if he wanted to.

From 8:48 to 9:59, I think Ben offers a decent justification for why he fired Aaron Fink and Mark Klepaski. He had written all of the songs up to that point, and so he owned the rights to them. Fink and Klepaski got into thinking that because they were in the room with Ben when he showed it to them, that somehow they “wrote it too,” and were at liberty to release a remixed version of one of Ben’s songs without his consent. But they were wrong, and they lost, and now Ben has rebuilt the band without them.

    • @AnnaLVajda

Some people are just used to taking credit for other peoples work because some people just want to be "nice" or "share" etc. then someone else recognizes that as being taken advantage of or plagiarism. Intellectual content gets copyrights and such just for that reason. Look at how Nikola Tesla had all his patents ripped off.

i believe it will come late 2017. i also believe they will release a single early 2017. This is essentially a whole new band, with all the new ideas flying in and the extra help from the new band members, i think two and a half years is plenty enough time to make a new album.

I don't drive because my Dad nearly died in a car accident and lost a leg when my Mom was expecting me and she thought she might have a miscarriage due to stress so I don't trust other drivers on the road having grown up hearing how one distracted driver can ruin your life in an instant. People think it odd I don't drive but they didn't live my life even my Dad drove again after the accident but I don't want to.

They are kinda the opposite of breaking benjamin if you think about it though: rush=intricate, all over the place, experimental. they try to break boundaries. BB= more simplified patterns and rhythms, more grounded with their work (they have a formula that works really well and stick to it), they are an amazing band that knows how to write continuously good song after song using their formula. I personally prefer and have more respect for BB just because of Ben's vocals and songwriting talent, their charm is in the way they turn what could be generic same old post grunge into rock and roll majestic masterpieces, their music moves people unlike alot of the generic mainstream post grunge mush. they are so damn talented and underrated.
