In 2016 AO final Murray was too tired after 5-setter against Raonic and had 1 day less of rest than Novak - so he had no chance against fresh prime Novak. In 2015 he gave Novak much bigger fight (apart from last set bagel), especially first 2 sets were epic, took 2,5 hours. But 2013 final was sth special - both Novak and Andy in their prime.

  • @denvercheddie
    @denvercheddie 3 года назад +11

    Differences between set 1 of this match and the entire US Open 2021 final.
    1) Novak did not look half dead
    2) He made much fewer unforced errors
    3) He got much more depth on his ground strokes.
    Other than the shaky start, Medvedev served well, competed well from the baseline, and used more or less the same safe strategy he used in the US Open final.
    Any other differences?

    Isn't it beautiful that records cannot influence the following collective vision -
    Grass - Roger. Elegance. Mastery. Gentleman on and off the court. Most popular tennis player. Sheer perfection. The most modest Sir Rod Laver says so.
    Hard courts - Novak. Goat. No one can deny Novak his fair share of records. Complete respect.
    Clay - Rafa. For now 13 cannot be transferred to anyone in any sport in imagination or in official records.
    Tennis reigns supreme. 🎾 🎾 ❤️❤️
