What scary about Djokovic is how he improves himself ,he has gone from backhand down the line to a ferocious forehand and now a monster at the net . He is an epitome of continuous evolution of skills and adaptability. They say that Roger plays the most beautiful game,I say that Djokovic plays the most complete and efficient game ,and then his mental greatness .

Im a huge Federer fan and since his retirement really appreciate Nadal, too.
But to see Djokovics endless strive for greatness - and achieving what he does and how he does, especially at his age - really does make him the GOAT.

I am a Djokovic fan and I really miss Federer, he had such a beautiful game. While I believe Djokovic is the GOAT, there are records like consecutive weeks at No 1 and consecutive grand slam quarter and semifinal appearances that make Federer the GOAT too. And Nadal has also shown greatness - 112-3 RG record has been the most dominant record at a grand slam for man or woman in tennis history since 1800. Well Djoker with the most grand slam titles and most overall weeks at No 1, 7 year end No 1, non calendar slam, alongside triple career grand slam and 4 years of three grand slam titles won, is GOAT stuff. While I believe that Djokovic is the GOAT, all big 3 tennis legends have done something special that no one else has ever done.
Those backhands in the point from Novak at 4-5 down in the tiebreak are just amazing.

reinvent himself.
Definitely one of Novaks best performances of the season. Medvedev was playing great this tournament but Djokovic neutralised him with clean powerful hitting, sensational net play and unbelievable stamina. Medvedev would have beaten anyone else with the form he was in but Djokovic stepped it up. Amazing.
I wouldn't say it was clean, Medvedev absolutely had Djokovic on the ropes at several points. Honestly I think at a certain point it really came down to experience over raw athleticism.
Not really anyone else. All Big 4 would make him a straight setter. I think Thiem before the injuries would also destroy him, Zverev same. BUT Rafa and Roger would destroy him absolutely.

As Meddy said before the match that you get a different and improv3d Novak every match, he got a improved Novak in the 2nd set.
I was there, what an epic match to witness 24. The crowd was much more civil than women's final. People applauded for both, just appreciating great tennis, Djokovic got a bit more support, but that's understandable people are rooting for historical 24. Imagine if some hyped favorites were there, the crowd would have been much partisan and less about tennis. The so called new big three, only alcaraz deserved to be mentioned, Sinner and Rune are miles behind Djokovic, Med and alcaraz.
Half of the audience have their eyes buried in their phones. Why come?

In all slams final novak played a second set tiebreak where he cam out on top of all. He won it again stef,again ruud and meddy which eventually saw off the match but against alcaraz three backhand errors in the second set tiebreak cost him the match .

Djokovic is the Greatest tennis player for all time not only because he has the most weeks as No. 1, the most Grand slams, most Masters 1000, most ATP finals, most year end No.1 but also because he faced big challenges like Federer, Nadal, Murray, Wawrinka and because he banned to play three Grand slams, six Master 1000 and one Wimbledon is cancelled while he was the most probable to win all these tournaments.

Medvedev actually played quite well, not less than his semifinal, had he won the 2nd set, the result would be quite different. It's just the GOAT was physically and mentally highly prepared and played outrageously well.
Medvedev didn't have the fire he had in the semi-finals, and Novak is no stronger than Alcaraz right now

That point at 5-6 Advantage for Medvedev where he had the line open was exactly the same as the point in Cincinatti Djokovic vs Alcaraz 6-6 in the tiebreak. Alcaraz also had the line open but Novak just stayed cross court and waited for the volley
