I've been practicing yoga for over 20 years and never has there been an invitation for my yoga practice to please me. Holy cabooses😳!! Thank you so much for that! 0
Thank you for this great practice! I very much enjoyed it. And now revising Willows in the wind with your YYTT videos because I'm about to try out this sequence (I so much like it) with my students tonight. A thought for you often when I teach Yin. I mentioned your name the other day when I talked about Yinsters being somanauts. ;-)
How do you translate somanaut to French? Haha. I am so glad to hear you’re revisiting the sequences and bringing them into your teaching. Thanks for the lovely comment.
Thank you for challenging me to do these front channel poses. Obviously I've got plenty of work to do. The saddle pose is the toughest pose for me. I just have to be patient with my body. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💜💜💜💜💜💜💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Thanks Doreen, even if you never do saddle pose, you can still use the other variations shown to stretch your front channel (aka quads & hip flexors). There is no pressure to do saddle pose if it doesn’t feel right. Listening to your body is the most important thing!
Great practice, you are very welcoming and calming ❤ Saddle always irritates my SI joint, any recommendations for a similar stretch that won’t hurt that area?
Thanks for this practice. The dragon with cat pulling its tail is a bit challenging but great for me, and this time I managed to keep it the full time :-) A question about the first pose, supported bridge, it is fine with me, but I am still aware that it is a strong pose when you have the legs down. How do you look at the concept of starting more simple and moving to more complex? I know that this idea is for hatha and that yin is very different but with your knowledge and experience I would find it interesting to hear your view on this, in regards to yinyoga.
Hi Anna, sounds like this one got you to explore your edges. I do like starting with milder stretches in order to make more intense poses available later. For this intermediate sequence where almost every pose is a backbend, Golden Gate was in the milder category. Sounds like that’s not how it was feeling for you, though - no pose affects everybody the same way! In your case you could do a supported bridge with bent knees instead, and also maybe use your block at the low height.
@@DeviDalyYoga Thanks for your nice reply! No, I have no issues with this pose, no need for me to bend my knees, I love to have the legs straight. My question was just a general question as I like to learn and understand more, and some of my friends find this supported bridge pose to be tough and that is why I thought it is considered a strong one. I can't use my self as a measurement anymore :-) as I have become pretty flexible in some parts of my body.
