John love your content, I think I’ve watched everyone! I’m from Portland and am actually considering moving to chicago, will be visiting next month for a few days. And yes, Portland is pretty grey for most of the year, in agreement on that one! Keep up the great content!
Yaaaa, the crime is a bit much and has turned us off, to be honest. We aren't ready to make a move yet so hopefully the dynamics of the city change (for the better) before making the move. Of course we will connect with you when purchasing.
Regarding talking about crime, I just discovered that realtors can't talk about school ratings, either. In a way, it is all "woke," but it goes FAR beyond woke. "Woke" seems to be just one strategy in a larger attack on freedom of speech and the availability of information to consumers and the public in general. I don't use the terms "liberal" and "conservative" because they simply do not have any relevance, here. This is all about control, suppression, division, and ultimately complete oppression... and both political parties are working toward the same end.
You had me at the title and lost me at around 0:05 with "Chicago is Americas only non-coastal major city". Do you only count 4 cities as major in the USA because the 5th is phoenix, AZ which is not even close to being coastal and to go one better by definition of coastal Chicago fits that description of "Coastal cities are located on the interface or transition areas between land and sea, including large inland lakes."
LIGHTFOOT NEEDS TO GO SHE AND DEMOCRATS ARE DESTROYING THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN CHICAGO IT WAS NOT LIKE THIS EVEN 20 YEARS AGO STAY SAFE JOHN 🙏🏿
You’re implying it was better 30 years ago by saying even. Do you remember the 1990s and how horrible it was? 1980s too? Only in the 2020s have things even approached that level, and still isn’t at point.
Your demographic profile was not accurate for the City. The City is approximately 31% white, 30% hispanic or latino, 29% black, and 7% asian (2020 census estimates)
Well I have been to a lot of cities and even with all the problems we have here I still think this is my hometown. I live in a blue collar community and have never had a problem finding work. Now every where you go you see help wanted signs in all the stores and factories basically every where. I don't believe it's because of the "jab" people just are more determined to get the highest paying jobs . I don't see the reason that getting vaccinated to keep you from possibly dying is any worse than the shots that we as parents take our babies to get. We are forced to do that or no school for children that didn't get their vaccinations. If you have kids you know it's true. As for crime that's every big city has it I don't think there's any place on this planet that there isn't any.
Lived here ~20 years and have never seen a needle on the street… have seen a car get shot 26x from my balcony though and if you pass a redline stop past North Ave there’s a good chance you’ll see a hand to hand. Where you live dictates a lot of what you see, unfortunately, and Chicago is an expansive city.
Other than showing real estate, what else would you like to know/see?
This was very well done! Thanks!
I appreciate this video. I feel like I have this conversation with my family so often, now I can just share your video. Thank you!
There’s no place like Chicago, regardless of its flaws.

Reach out when you’re ready to move here! Thanks for the kindness!
Great content as usual, John. Keep it up!
This is the BEST video Ever!!!
Wow! What a great video! See you soon.
Great one 🔥 Always waited for this

If you ever want to have a call we can discuss this. Don’t watch the media.
Good video, really helpful.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Longer beard is a good look for you!
I’ve only been hearing the contrary to thank you!

I heard there are lots of dangerous gangs in Chicago 😱 so I can't move to Chicago 😱 it's not safe at all 😭
Congratulations on becoming a father.
Thank you!

You have to keep watching to see it play out. If you’re comparing Phoenix to Chicago we won’t agree on anything.
Honestly though, if you live outside the US, chances are many people have never heard of phoenix…sorry
@@GRAFFTRealEstatePhoenix is a major city. Chicago is a global city
@@nicklove3963 good point. I like the distinction.

City deadlier than a war zone.
Not anymore. Crime rates are going down

Chicago gives new residents tax credits on Kevlar vests and hand sanitizer for removing broken needles.
