  • Muhammad Ali
    (Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.)
    (the "Louisville Lip")
    Record 56-5 (37 KO)
Clay/Ali was one of the smoothest and most natural boxers of all time; His hands were lightning fast and he was practically impossible to hit cleanly during his early career; Later, when he was heavier and stronger, he proved he could still prevail; Clay/Ali won the Heavyweight Championship three times
As a boxer, he made mistakes but with his unbelievable speed was able to still win, primarily with jabs and combinations which took their toll; He could judge distances within an inch, was game, had a great chin and could take punishment
When he first hit the scene, he called himself "The Greatest" and people scoffed; Today, the majority of boxing fans consider him to be "The Greatest"
Herb Goldman ranked Clay/Ali as the #1 All-Time Heavyweight; Clay/Ali was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990

I love what you said. You prefer a boxer over the other, but you are not biased.

Tunney was better than Dempsey. Ali said he was the best of the old skool because he understood the sweet science

Of course he was better than Dempsey. He beat him twice. Dempsey was not at his best, but he was still Dempsey. However, I still prefer Jack over Gene.

He should have left that Gorilla stuff out against Fraiser.

Better in my fuck . Don't get me wrong his good at what he does but prime Ali could match his speed if not better it . Where talking a heavyweight here. The man outfought the greatest punchers the game has seen when he got older and slowd down and has a way better resume. The man was great defensively in his prime also. Na the type of greatestness he showed is a level above. His fights with Frazier transcended the sport . The man could out fight you or outbox you.
