      theoldcameraguy thanks man! Also check out my IG as I’ve been much more active there than YT. I’m hoping to find time to post a couple more videos in the coming weeks. One on a roll of PANF50 which changed my mind. I shoot it in 120 a couple years ago and wasn’t in love but I really liked the roll of 35mm I shot and proceeded to order 3 more rolls.

      Colin Stuart thanks for watching. Ya I always loved Superia 400. The 800 and 1600 have been useful as well. Not a ton of options for high speed these days.

    I liked the way that they images panned and zoomed. It reminds me of the way I used to look at images. For some reason I find it soothing lol

      T Smith thanks for responding. Was curious what people thought. I notice most photography channels just post static pic small on screen with white background. Wasn’t sure what people preferred.

      @@EDHBlvd I enjoyed it. Watched it on my laptop and I really could see the detail in the images. Those were some clean scans!

    I want to get an XA, The Olypmus compacts are great for just always having an electronic film camera on you no matter. I tend to take more care with the F100 and you don't exactly carry one with you when you go to the shops. I have two Mju I's. The first one, a 'Panoramic' given to to me by a neighbour, I wrote it off as another compact camera that got junked as we were growing up. Found another on Fleabay by a seller who wasn't aware the battery type still existed. I mentioned they sold them in the hardware shop for a few quid, but sold it to me for £8 anyway. Worth the risk and it paid off... can't find it currently though. Very handy.

    My XA4 is almost exclusively shot with Ektar 100. I’m always surprised at the sharpness and resolution from these small cameras, and I find the image quality to be on par with SLR 28mm lenses.

      VeloRydr it is really nice, but I’m not sure I’d go that far. I guess I’d need to A/B them. I haven’t sold my F100 yet as the 24mm f/2.8D is so effing sharp.

      Rediscover Film the sharpness and resolution I’ve seen from my XA4 is likely because Ektar 100 is sharp and fine grained. I don’t shoot 28mm much, but I like the look from my XA4 more compared to my Canon FDn 28mm 2.8 lens shot with Ektar.

    How do you zone focus on this camera? So far my photos are coming out of focus

    • @EDHBlvd
      @EDHBlvd  3 года назад

      Well true zone focus concept is when user can manually select an aperture, and then focus the lens in a range to have a deep depth of field. This is not possible on the XA4 is it’s a program camera, with only the control of focus distance.
      If you are getting out of focus pics, you must not be setting focus distance correctly or your camera is possibly broken.
      For example if you set the camera focus distance to 0.7m but have a subject at 3m, it will be out of focus.

    I like the picture on the solid background and with the edges. I don't like hen the image is zoomed in, so that is cropping. My taste. Btw - I like the look of those images.

    Where do you buy Superia 800?

    • @EDHBlvd
      @EDHBlvd  5 лет назад +1

      M D I used to buy it at B&H, but as I mentioned in video this was my last roll. It was expired 10/2018. I think Fujifilm discontinued both Superia 800 and Superia 1600.
