This video is a self help basic instructional video to assist you to navigate AusGIN to find geological maps and add layers to find fault lines, mines, alluvial gold and types of mining leases.
I don’t profess to be an ‘expert’ by any means but rather I am sharing on RUclips tips to find gold in Australia.

The most ecconomical place to find gold is at a PM dealer.
I am enjoying this. But question. Why don't all maps show the gold legend?? Every map I did doesn't show same information
I’m not sure Wade. Different State geologists, age of maps themselves and no room left in area to be placed on map sheet??👍

How do you read the maps though in terms of the lay of the land, are you supposed to be looking for creek beds or something else?
Hi Reece, map reading is quite involved to explain here, but, I look for the geology…. the type of rock in the various areas known to hold gold, the legends on some of the maps have details of gold areas/mines that you can research. Topography maps show topography of the land and the higher & lower areas like gullies and creek beds. Hope this helps. 😀⛏⛏
