I appreciate the support very much and good luck to all who enter 🫡✊
I was a volunteer Coastguard Rescue Station Officer and they way that I managed casualties like the gentleman you met was to focus on returning them to their loved ones no matter what their motives or behaviour was. I told my team that no matter what our opinion was of them, they all had people who loved them and wanted them safe.
I think it helps to think like this no matter how frustrating and silly people can be.
Yeah mate but what about someone who actually needs help.lazy, unprepared and basically taking the piss. My opinion.
Brilliant attitude, you guys are so appreciated ❤
Just encourages the said behaviour and puts other people who may not share that opinion in a position to be taken advantage of. What if you are all up there playing make believe with some idiot and someone is genuinely in need, a life or death situation and no one can come fast enough ? Save the ostentatiousness. Time to stop making excuses for absolute MORONS.
I can’t believe that man called The Mountain Rescue because he was tired. That is criminal. Totally agree with you. Great video Hazey hope you enjoyed your pint and fish and chips.
A Hazey hiking video on a Sunday evening is now becoming as traditional a watch as the antiques road show was for me as a kiddo.
I recognise that feeling. Well spotted.
Thanks again Hazy for another great video... Great meeting you at the Inn, made my trip to the lake District to meet you and now chuffed to make one of your videos. Thanks for all the great adventures.. love the new addition to map time...
Big up mate!
Map time is a great feature. Keep up the inspiring work 👌🙌
Nice one Haze, that's a tough old slog over the moonscape of Esk Hause. Sweet drone shot near the top as you enjoyed your apricot-and-yoghurt-eat-nature.
EDIT: I would be crawling out on bloody hands and knees before I called Mountain Rescue. I'd be mortified to ask for help because of being tired, or thirsty. SMH
Funnily enough I was discussing something similar to this with my wife this morning. With the Salt Path book being made into a film and once released I am sure there will be a surge of under prepared people attempting the SWCP and the number of incidents will increase down there because as with Scarfell it’s not an easy walk!
Made me laugh with you trying to be nice and not slate the folk on the hills that are ill prepared. Say it how it's is mate, they need to get a grip 😂
These mountain incidents give me rage! Three girls once stopped and asked me the way to the top of Snowden. I said "get in the car and drive North 80 miles coz youre in the Brecon Beacons......!
Passed a young Asian female while descending from Ben Nevis. She could barely speak English, lost her friend and dressed in canvas trainers, jeans, a cardigan and a duffle coat. She was carrying a plastic bag with a bottle of pop in it. Did try to persuade to turn around but she refused and kicked on…
Had a bloke run past my set up couple of valleys from where you where bout 5 years ago ,his mate got into trouble and he was going for mountain rescue no phone signal in the valleys ..,I went and got his mate while he went for rescue .His mate was vomiting , stumbling around Proper confused when i got to him,,suffering from heat exustion so brought him back to my camp hydrated, watched over him while waiting for mountain rescue..8 mountain rescue men later and a helicopter all was well. The bloke could not thank me enough and he got a free lift in helecopter but all could of been avoided with bit more thought and knowing there limit ...
Brilliant video mate once again. Nice to see the Lakes again in all their glory.
How on earth has this man not got more followers. An absolute legend
I’ve probably got more than I deserve to be honest mate 😂
New Map Time idea is mint Hazey. The combo of that and retro is great.
Hey mate, you gotta ditch than awful tent and go for the Durston X mid
Thanks for taking us along. The important thing about hiking, especially up mountains, you need to know your limitations. When you're fit you can push your limits but know when to take breaks. We're seen you do it, and it's given us a lesson. From your many friends in Florida USA 🌴
You're absolutely right about people. People seem to feel they have the right to just go up any mountain they like regardless of kit, fitness or experience. After years in youth of doing hills like scafell I no longer do. I have the kit .. I have the maps... I can nav... I'm well trained but my fitness level n health ain't so great at 60. .. so I choose to do things within my fitness zone.... Not put others at risk to rescue me
Tough one! 😅 but great as ever👍
Brilliantly done mate ,and an actual medic(rescuer)🤣🤣 looking forward to pt 3.
Appreciate your efforts 👍🏼👍🏼
I've been so inspired by your videos and stories Mr Haze that I decided to tackle the Cumbrian way myself. With a 9.5kg pack weight before setting off on my Altras I waved my loved ones goodbye. I met some really great people on the way and was hoping to wild camp every night but it takes alot of balls to do what you do. I managed each day with a good pace and even met a new friend before skelwith bridge. Sadly after traversing the langdales I found myself with a big toe issue. We strived on till Keswick but struggled to find paid camping spot and after a 15 mile day I had to get real and accept I will need to return to finish the route. To anyone out there feeling low and like they should carry on without help from others, be kind to yourself and accept the help from others
Incredible solo adventure in the mountains! Loved the wild camping experience. Can't wait for Part 3!
I can remember climbing Scafell Pike starting from ODG in the Langdales Valley. My wife and I had our 16 year old daughter and have to say it felt a long old slog up to the top (and back) from there. I was very impressed that my daughter gritted her teeth and got the job done ( unlike your man with the scratched shin).
Thanks for another inspirational episode Paul. Always fun and always good for the soul ❤
Liked the digital OS Map time, Paul! Full transition ready!
awesome mate your videos just keeps getting better such amazing content 👏 looking forward to the next instalment
I think you were 2 more strokes away on that Scafell gate before you starting mounting it 🫵🏻😉😂🥵
Wild camping is illegal in the Lake District. The regulations can be seen on the Lake District National Park Authority website.
Yes another instalment of the Hazey show, much love ❤️ from Wigan 👍
Great vid, as per usual.
Off to The Dales this weekend for a 5 day bimble about. Going to attempt The Three Yorkshire Peaks.
I am hoping I still have 'the engine'. It's struggling!
I promise not to call mountain rescue when I'm tired.
Great video, as always. Love watching your adventures! Always makes me smile. If you read this, I have a question - What's the name of the song you played towards the end with the female vocal? Searched with the lyrics but couldn't find it! Really liked it...
Loving this Solo series Hazy...that sweeping drone shot whilst enjoying your fruit n nut bar was epic! Love the lakes when you find a quiet spot...roll on pt.3!
Looking at buying the Flextail lamp but doesn't give an option to ship to UK...??
Oi Oi Kid, hope your heads orright? You seemed a bit negative Nelly on this vid. Glad you are out amongst it regardless. I hope old mate who got tired grew some ballacks so he could roll back down hill. Lol.
Loving map time still...also looking forward to you next #Bramblehead adventures. Ps: I thought were heat wave in UK at minnit.....looks proper wintery.
Hazy, another cracker son! I’m just getting into wild camping finally got all my gear and will be heading off into the Peak District as quickly as I can, thanks greatly to your inspiration. Relating to your vid my fitness or lack of it does worry me a tad, in your valued opinion are all climbs a none starter for newbies or if it’s taken carefully with the respect some of these peaks demand , are they open for all skill levels.
(I’m 48, 12 stone 6 foot .)
Calling Mountain Rescue like Stretcher Uber.
I feel your pain with the sparkling water. Been there done that. Great vid. Inspiring.
Another great day in the Fells. And it shows watching you put your merino layer on that you really need to be prepared for all conditions before you take these fells on. And definitely have a map as that low cloud is completely disorienting. Total muppets, imho, who go out with nothing or can’t physically do it and then expect mountain rescue to come and get them. I’ve said it should be that if you use the mountains or go on the sea there out to be some charge to help support MR or RNLI. People pay for RAC or AA to pick their car up so why not pay for MR & RNLI?
Thanks, Paul. Another good watch. Johnny
Sorry but someone going up them hikes without a map or bag or anything like you say is just simply irresponsible behaviour that’s not the sort of place to be complacent especially when the weather can change so quick Like you say hazey good luck to them 🤞🏻😅
10 minutes through and your right mate there soft down south they don't know what walking is pansies 😂I jest I don't think u actually said that 😊 great content
Great video mate, can't wait for the next one.
Take a look at you btw, moves downsouth and all of a sudden you're on the fizzy water. Remember you're roots 😂
So we went up to Wasdale Head as our second ever walk, last week and my Mrs lobbed her pole into the river over that bridge, i got my first 'junk dunk ' out of they away , and we video'd the same chickens. Even had a dram in the pub. Nothing ground breaking really, but for us it was a big step. Well lots of small ones, but you get it cheers for the inspiration.
I wonder if the man wasn't in worse shape than he admitted to Hazey. Probably felt like a plonker for stacking it and leaving himself unable to get down.
Hi Hazy! What kind of drone do you use to record? Hoping one day I may travel to the UK and embark on an adventure with you! Cheers mate!
Don't wish this to go to your head or anything but I can't watch your videos and miss anything without stopping and rewinding.
Nice one! A pint certainly is nice at the time, but kills afterwards. I met a guy up a hill nearby, he was totally lost, and when I told him the way, he started arguing that I was actually wrong, teks all sorts;)
Mountain rescue should save him, but brand his forehead so everyone knows what he did. His family, even when he goes to other towns, and eventually the ether. It should haunt him forever.
You don’t mess around Hazy! That is quite a feat no doubt. Cheers.
The modern integration is a good idea, it can give us viewers a scale that old OS maps cannot. on the point of that guy calling mountain rescue, that was a terrible waste of resources.
That guy who called mountain rescue out because he was tired, needs a swift kick’n in the arse all the way back down..
Funny a, f, ahhh F@£k, bog foot before bed😂😂😂
Creased me up!
Fizzy water and prawns! Wild camping ain't what it used to be. 😉
Loved it fella! Had the memories flooding back when I was up that way a few years ago.
Keep doing what your doing! 👍 Much appreciated.
Map time is my favourite. Great to keep the knife and paper map in there, but enjoyes the map time 2.0 as well
Great Sunday eve video to chill to with a cold one lol great views, not been to lake district yet, defo going to give it a try. cheers haze :)
What are you using for the map tracking graphics (not sure how to describe it haha)?
Yeah the mountain rescue is used to this kinda stuff, if you look at the statistics catbells is one of the most dangerous mountains just because so many people go up it that just aren’t prepared.
Ey up hazey lad when is part 3 coming???
There is no cure for stupidity
Sorry that Mountain Rescue has to deal with it
was the condensation than the Lanshan 2
(Not that you reply to comments)
You get some right sorts up the mountains. My dad bumped into a group on the tops once who were trying to get mountain rescue to send a helicopter as they were going to miss their dinner reservation.
Geddin another hazy adventure....love it lad !! Thankyou for all your fantastic artistic creations we love it mate ❤
Thanks mate
Haze we get that in Ben Lomond people with shorts and tea shirts in the autumn 🫣
In the next 5 - 10 most British people will live this way.
Fooking love "Map Time"
Had a friend that died in the desert in Mexico. Said she was tired, had a heart attack. You never know what's going on inside the body.
Intregrate some new stuff 😂 go on me lad !!!
He should be fined for being lazy another great vid mate
If Carlsberg did map time…….
Just brilliant. Thank you.
Thanks for the video Hazeo!
I hope he got sledged off, not carried!
Loving the new Map Time! Adds drama and suspense.
Two words for you Haze: Plex Solo
Mate that shot at 13:45 is fire. Nice one.🔥
Good work Mr Haze. The ppl who climb mountains unprepared and end up needing rescue should be charged twice what it costs to rescue them.
Or shot and left for the birds.
@@r.davies2702 bit harsh but maybe context related? 😆
Lightning behind at 7:25 funny
Brilliant! Sunday now complete! Love theses series. ❤
Cheers mate
Followed since the Turnip and beer review days, Davids wood etc
Will always follow, a good human being with a good soul. Also a Cliffhanger fan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Big Trouble in Little China etc
Respect !!!All the very best 👍🏻🏴👍🏻🏴👍🏻🏴
Gi' o'er whittlin, gi' o'er towin thee.... but tha waint will tha
Fizzy water?! You've changed.
It was an accidental purchase he said, I don’t think he’s part of the Perrier brigade 😂
Another great video 😂
Im tired phone me a taxi 😮
Beautifull❤❤
Scarfell theme park
#condensation #lad😢
Love these videos haze, good job man! 👍
Thank you for sharing this video Hazey! Cheers mate 🍺🍺🍺
Love the 3D animation, really good! As for numpties, you always get 'em near the popular summits. Not much you can do short of having rangers turning folks back like in some US parks, but that's not the British way, is it?
Did beder fell, angle tarn and place fell in a day with a group from work for St johns hospice last month, for a 44 year old un exercised man it was tough but so so worth it, I take my hat off to you mate, also took inspiration from you as my head space isn't always the best but up there..we'll you know, felt like a hobbit trudging through mordor or middle earth. Much love sir.x
Brilliant haze i would p'd off aswell about the guy that was "just tired". Keep it coming hope all is well in your new gaff down south. ATB sam
Woke up this morning to a 'Beau Miles' video (if you haven't seen any of his stuff , you're missing out) , came to bed with a Haze Outdoors video .
In between was a trip to Kirkby Lonsdale to source a new tripod for the dutch oven .
Fed , watered , and entertained , I've had worse Sundays .
Another fab vid! Slightly appalled by the guy who was tired and had Mountain Rescue summoned. I fell off an Alp on the TdMB and split my quad and ripped the tendons out of my knee. Had to walk from Switzerland into France (in a fair bit of pain !) and had surgery and a weeks worth of hospital food in the Chamonix Valley. That’s proper Yorkshire, limping into France so you can use your EHIC! Have also made rookie error of buying fizzy water (we actually ended up with 12 litres of the stuff). Had to open the flip top on my water bottle at arms length which went off with a loud ‘BOOM!’, which after a couple of days elicited ironic cheers from the rest of our group!
Fantastic views, I think Scafell Pike is just one of those places people want to tick of the list and say they’ve done the highest mountain in England. Don’t know how you did 3 peaks barefoot lol Really bugs me seeing people on the hills with no gear and not even the basics.
21:24 I've binned off Am Faogach (similar height) before as I'd messed up both my food and my ability (hungover, and a late start as a result ). But then I'm experienced and know when to tap out and not continue .
I need to camp soon... Not done since the East Highland Trail at the beginning of June . Just too much ....other life stuff....and making my first forays into wild swimming .
This is one of your best videos.
Absolutely fantastic work! Music selection, audio recording, drone footage,
composition of your camera, and overall atmosphere of the scenes is just amazing my friend!
3 days in the wilderness with the sexy SOB. Thank you Haze! 💚
Hi hazy having watched every video you certainly know your way around the hills some people think there out there and there’s a Tesco’s just down the hill seriously mate got to be prepared as you well know things can change so quickly and if not prepared or familiar with these types of environment can lead to some serious shit anyways this has been brilliant scenery is awesome thanks for taking me along on your journey take care and all the best top RUclipsr mate loving the vids ❤️👍👌🙏🙏
Thanks for continuing to produce these vids, much appreciated, you are right about the abuse of Mountain Rescue, it is very wrong, also people going unprepared up the fells, I was once in the Wasdale head car park and a bloke asked me the way to Scafell Pike! 🙄
