Well done lads!I did it earlier this year, I had wet feet from the start due to misleading weather forecast and wrong footwear, the last 3rd was challenging with it being like a desert of heather with few landmarks. Clocked 41 1/2 miles on strava, could have been the extra mile from getting lost in marshes 😂
Seeing 2 mates together like you boys is awesome. Your time speaking and mannerisms change around Joseph Von Dingledangle to being relaxed, laughs and pure joy. It’s how it should be. Life wins mate 👌🏻
Amazing video, your friendship and banter is so special. Done the walk twice, firstly in a respectable 14 hours and then bust a gut to try and beat 12 hours, missed by 10 mins, never again.
Your comment about walking dark into light reminded me of the walk my wife does (73). The Walk of Hope is for Chris's House (Centre for Help and Response & Intervention Surrounding Suicide) which she does Reiki at as a volunteer. It starts in the early hours of the morning and finishes in the daylight. Only 5K, nothing like your epic journeys. Keep up the videos as they will be an inspiration for others. More power to your legs.
Love to see you out with Joey. I've had a difficult time where I was living with being subjected to emotional abuse and manipulation that's been causing anxiety. You are an inspiration and your humor gives me the giggles and helps me "clear the noggin" and for all you do, I thank you. 👍❤️
Wow, tackling a 40-mile hike like the Lyke Wake Walk in a heatwave is no small feat! 🌞 Your determination and endurance are truly impressive. The landscapes look stunning despite the scorching sun. Stay hydrated and keep pushing through! 💪
@HazeOutdoors the old nogging bollock take a pasting. But with people like you it brings smiles and joy. I applaud you for your time and dedication. Hats off to you 💙💙
Herculean effort gents! well done!! A few years back my noggin was in a bit of a mess so i started getting into counting my steps to try and improve my health. Got myself a Fitbit and then with no training whatsoever i did the 100,000 steps in a day challenge along the Delamere way. That was just over 47miles and took me 18 hours. It wouldn't have had the ascents that you two had but it was absolutely brutal... So was the 5am alarm clock for work the next day!!! So i literally feel your pain!! Top notch as always matie!!! Top notch.
I once did a 36 mile sponsored walk for charity, when I was much younger and fitter. By the end of it I was Donald Ducked and the legs had gone. They gave me a bath in my local pub and fed me brandy till I was able to walk around. Then I got hammered in the bar. Fun times.
Thanks for the nostalgia trip! I did this in a school party in 1966 age 11. It was red hot as I remember, me and my mate got separated from the others, and we had no water with us. Thank heavens we found a spring up on the moor and drank like camels. The only sustenance was a little twisty pack of nuts. When we dragged ourselves the last never ending stretch to the finish, a schoolteacher (who arrived by car) invited us to dance round the trig point or whatever. Unfortunately at age 11 I hadn`t yet mastered the appropriate response - `f*ck right off!!`
That sunrise couldn't have been more perfect, stunning. Love the way you laugh when you're with Joey D. Thanks to both of you, prayers for your friend.
Well done lads superb effort, I remember doing the Four Inns back in the 90s when I was in my fit 40s absolute gut wrenching, particularly the last five from Cat & Fiddler pub to Buxton.
Did that walk a few years ago and it's brutal, nearly broke me....managed to struggle through it though with the help of a good friend. Best day ever. Well done chaps 💪🤩
Well done to you both. Its a fine walk, did it twice, once when i was 11 ish the other when i was 13, over forty years ago now. Wanting to do it again this year but as a double crossing, should be fun, as you say hallucinations happen when you so tired think you have dragons coming from the heather lol. Love the banter you two have, can make all the difference between a pleasant crossing or not so pleasant. i will be doing the crossings on my own so is a total mind over matter. Love your vids and only just realised that i wasn't subbed..........sorry Looked on the web for the camp site in Osmotherly, wow thats changed, it was pretty much just a field with a couple showers on when i was there. All the best to you both
HAZE I've aeen all your videos and for me this is you're best it was funny informative and your camera work and editing was Amazing and for charity and my dad this same walk in one day in 1977 he is 77 now I've sent him this video 💞
Now then Hazey and his good pal Jazzle Dazzle. Another lovely surprise of the evening, will watch and enjoy whilst I cook. Hope you’re keeping well in mind and body. Big love.
That was wonderful. Rosedale and Wheeldale are my favourite moors. The grouse were Red Legged Grouse - we call them the wibbly birds. Amazing achievement. And the wonderful Joey Von D. Perfect.
His hat comes off n he’s Bald !! I’m still fucking chuckling 😂😂😂.. not saying it’s right, but Jesus I cried 😅 a normal humour against the people actually doing something for the unfortunate but keeping humour in the battle !! Love you so much !! ❤
we used to do this one every summer for charity with our school. It's like a right of passage if you come from North Yorks. I think I've only done it in one long slog, without a camp, the one time. great vid, defo brought back some memories this one, cheers lads.
Lovely video, thanks ! 👍🙂 I did the LWW in the early 80s with 18th Barnsley (Hoyland) Scouts. Tough going!! At Ravenscar we got our mini bus to the YH at Whitby. Freshen up and walk down the steps for Fish and chips. I'll never forget the hundred and odd steps back up!! 😬😁
Mate, I stumbled across your channel not long ago and you are the man! Your content it absolutely brilliant your a genuine Yorkshire lad. Plus we share the same home town of Whitby! Keep being you, much Love

Smashed it (as usual)! Another great video and great to see you both enjoying life. Your videos are really life-affirming and make the rest of us just want to get out there and walk! Thank you. 😊
I literally had a smile on my face the whole time I watched this, also that joke about kicking a kid in the middle of the road and his hat falling off to reveal a bald head 😂😂😂 CRYING mate, crying lol
I went from laughing out loud at the beginning (I think you should have dark walking in all your videos) 😂 to tearing up at the end. 😢😢 Amazing job guys. Nowt but love to you. ❤
Amazing journey. You guys were batty bonkers to start out. Laughter lightens the load. I love the history of these ways. Burial grounds so ancient. To be a part of that history by passing through. Well done
Much respect mate, a well produced an entertaining video with a very serious goal. I really appreciate your efforts here - thank you. You are a star! Love and respect!
Years old ago I was in the scouts and we started off from Osmotherley but the route was very foggy and we ended up abandoning the walk, saying we would do it again, but never did.
Well done you pair of ding bats 🦇 very well done. Good laugh with your mucker keeps the pain at bay. I’ll chuck you a couple of quid towards your charity fund Paul see if I can follow the link.

We were delirious
Hazey & Joey D return, it's like Frodo & Sam's adventures across Mordor. But without the flames. Cheers Hazey, much love and respect.
Watching this brought back some memories from when I did this in 2018. 3 hours sleep, set-off at midnight, broken man 17 hours later, fantastic!
