I have the reading version of switch fail. There are times where my wife (100% American. Can't read Chinese.) will go "What's this?" And I'll point to a sign and go "There's the sign." And she go "Yeah, it's in Chinese." I'll then have to facepalm myself and go, "Right. Sorry. "
