It’s almost like we should have known Flus was in over his head after the Denver game last year and the Detroit game. But thanks, he can keep the locker room together after dumb losses!
Probably should have known he was in over his head when two of his coaches had to be immediately fired for being some form of scumbag tbh. Just let a hot start this year make us forget how often he's just completely out of his element
@@joeypizza2761Exactly, if they wouldn't let Flus go for that, they should have at least not let him interview and hire the OC, because Waldron sucks, and Chris Morgan sucks to, and you never fire an OC like they did with Getsy, but then retain his O line coach and then just tell the new OC that he has to just accept that Chris Morgan is his o line coach. As hurtful as this loss feels, this is yet another mistake the bears will grow from. Just happy this didn’t happen vs. Green Bay in week 18 and hopefully reviewing this whole final drive will prevent this from happening again
I appreciate your positive thoughts. However, Flus is 1 and 13 against teams over .500. He is consistent with bad player management, selecting coaches, and play calling. Shows no accountability in his decisions. The Bears have possibly Super Bowl talent, with the exception of offensive line, but nothing has changed from last year. I have zero faith Flus will learn from anything.
It reminded me of how Mooney dropped our Hail Mary potential win last season. It seems like it's just very Bears. We pulled out a miracle win on a day we deserved to lose because of the offense ineptitude, but Caleb found some magic late. Only to be topped by a play that has an 8% chance of working.
Worst head coach in the NFC North which isn’t that impressive but the fact we had a great opportunity to get rid of him when we took a new QB and instead decide it’s better to either get rid of him after year 1 or keep him when he’s straight up bad.
This was a kick is the ass game. Kmet said later they there was guys slacking a bit in practice. It was a young team coming a definitive win thinking they could take it easy, and it showed they can’t. A lot learned, but time to focus in and not take anything for granted
Maybe it has been going on for a long time or maybe I’m just getting old but I feel that in the last 10 years that I have seen it almost impossible to find someone who will claim full responsibility for their decisions and actions. I could not believe Eberflus said post conference yesterday Sunday and I await his press conference today.
Sure but we shoukd have been uo by at least 6 if not or a fumble and another FG if not for that ass backwards end of second half shit show. We should have gone into the hakf with 2 points and then shoukd have scored what 14-22 unanswered points at the end of the game this game is on coaching and Stevenson. The end of game bears defense (including Stevenson) and coaching was atrocious. However the offense was terrible for the majority of the game. We should have had at least two more touchdowns. Something is not clicking with CW and the OC Waldron. Is Flus just dumb or what?
The Bears Organization solidified itself as the punchline of the NFL. Its utter incompetence was on full display. From George McCaskey, the chief architect of the misery of the past decade, to Ryan Poles who has failed to deliver a reasonably functional offensive line, to Matt Eberflus who is unqualified, in over his head as head coach.
I've been saying it since week 1 of LAST YEAR.....Flus is incompetent and hand-picked a 2nd incompetent OC. The guy he passed on is looking pretty good and developing an offense for a rookie QB. AND HE HAD FAMILIARITY WITH CALEB WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE THE CHEMISTRY EVEN BETTER. I hate it
How do you allow Daniels to run around for 13 seconds before throwing tghe winning TD? How about putting in some speed types to run him down rather than just linemen???
I def agree with Jahns that there needs to be more accountability for Tyrique as he keeps being the DB that gives up the big play, keeps getting the avoidable personal fouls, and not showing discipline down to the wire. Like Velus, can’t have Stephenson being the reason we get bounced in the playoffs
As a Washington fan, i must say you are scewing your answers to suit your narrative, the 11 yard pass on 2nd down mattered and you covered it but we still succeeded in completing it, if you covered the sideline on the 1st down Terry would still have made it work, so if it went to 1 second and we only got 9 yards instead of 13 yards we would have still been able to have the hell mary, Stephenson us only 6 feet tall he got to his maximum height that is why he tipped the ball instead of batting it down, all your defensive players failed on that hell mary because an ex pro on a podcast that you only have 1 jumper and one infront and 1 behind and the others disrupting opponents from jumping , he said Chicago did have 2 defenders in the back of the endzone but because the ball was coming down on the 2 yard line everybody decided to go for the ball, so the reason that the hell mary succeeded was because Washington was totally priffessional and carried out all phases of that final drive to perfection and Chicago did the complete opposite
THIS is why you see once again that Eberflus is a COORDINATOR. He is NOT a head coach. He chokes away games by never grasping the situation in REAL TIME. You gotta KNOW in an instant what to do. George McCaskey liked him personally and that's why Poles was pretty much forced into hiring him.
Honestly on that play everyone, mostly Tyrique n Ebeflus. No discipline and accountability, lack of focus. Game was a reality check for the fans, where Bears are realistically at now, 8 or n 9 game wins.
Flus should have called timeout - my 8 year old grandson was asking for that - and get Booker in the game - he has a motor and young legs and no way Daniel’s has 13 seconds if he’s in the game - and Edwards needs to pressure not shadow Daniels
Ryan poles have to get some of this blame too because he had every rite to fire matt after another losing season and never beating the Packers i thought it was a fatal mistake to keep eberflus and basically trust him to develop our franchise QB unreal 😢
The fade in the corner of the endzone was a stupid play because it stopped the clock! Run the ball & eat the clock!! Probably would've scored & would've left them with no time to run a Hail Mary in the first place!
Honestly, we can't even get that mad about the Hail Mary. It's kind of a joke at this point. Losing organizations make losing plays. That's us. The Bears. Had we scored more points, it wouldn't have been necessary to defend a Hail Mary. Flus needs to fix shit with how he manages end-of-game situations. No doubt. So learn from this and be better. And after that, get up Waldron's ass about that O. Cause we aren't good enough up front to give Caleb the time he needs. Teams are figuring out how to get pressure. But even if our O-Line was better, the play calling today was cheeks. Guys, we just have to get used to the fact this is our season right now. And we should demand nothing less than Poles bringing some badass boys in next year to help that O-Line. Period. End of story.

Let’s be real about this…Caleb Williams was awful for 3 quarters but he did take the team down the field twice for game winning TD drives…All the media are on Daniels nuts when in fact he managed 4 field goals and a lucky Hail Mary TD against a team with 2 of its starting secondary out. I’d be willing to bet money that Daniels couldn’t have lead those drives to win this game in the fourth quarter. Holding should have been called on the pass, I don’t understand why it doesn’t get called there…the defense played fantastic until that last play…we will see this coming Sunday what they are truly made of..after this…you will put it behind you and take care of business Sunday or you will let it fester and you’ll come home 4-4…the next 2 games are must wins..if you can manage to win the next 2 and host the Packers at 6-3 you have a chance
The bears are not there yet. I’d like to think we are getting close, but we are not quite there until we win these types of games. Poles has to have second and third thoughts on Flus and Waldron. Sometimes likeable guys (Flus) deserve to get fired.
The play before the Hail Mary should have ended the game. Horrible defensive decision making on that play! Take away the sideline and the HM never happens. Play clock runs out in the middle of the field, or they are too far back To attempt it!! Horrible awareness of the situation.

Yes I agree timeout at the end when ts wasn’t paying attention should have been called but dam there were so many non calls it was ridiculous
The TERRIBLE HEAD COACH and the crummy assistant coaches that EBERFLUS brought on board are responsible. Washington ISNT a great team either. They're a solid team but they're not great and this team couldn't put up more than 15 points against them and it took them two and a half quarters just to start doing that. The very second a MATT EBERFLUS run team faced a team that isnt well below .500 they couldn't get the job done. BTW why is CHRIS MORGAN still wasting the best OFFENSIVE TACKLE on the roster at LG. I really hope Poles is looking long and hard at the Lions OC BEN JOHNSON for the HC position because MATT EBERFLUS is a tried and true PUTZ. YOU DONT need a defensive minded HC to run a quality 4-3 TAMPA 2 DEFENSE. Its a very simple and straight forward defensive scheme.
Who should be blamed? The refs, for not calling the myriad of choices of holding penalty during the play. Stop trying to put the focus on Stevenson and focus on the infrastructure of the game that failed miserably to allow this to even happen. I can't believe everyone again is looking to find a way to let these refs off the hook. They should have to do the post game press conference and answer for their mistakes just like the coaches (Eberflus and Waldron should be fired) and the players.
They can explain the no holds on the swift td. Why they called pass interference on a uncatchable ball on 4th and 3. How Ertz clear td was called incomplete. How they took two tds off the boards for commanders.
@troystahmann8659 I'll have to look again on the Swift TD. I don't remember a hold there. You could be right. The ball definitely hit the ground on the Ertz catch. The PI happened before the pass could be deemed uncatchable. The PI was so early into the ball being in flight that Allen never got an opportunity to prove he could catch it. What was the other TD? I'll go back and look.
EBERFLUFF should’ve challenge two plays. McLaren’s catch and before the spot of the ball on the possession before. The goalie carrry was garbage and the first down play to Dj Moore that didn’t stop the clock. Also not having better personnel on the field for the last two plays. We had 4 backups in there! The spy by TJ - and ofcourse no timeout on the Hail Mary. This alone with all these mistake shows he’s not qualified to coach in big games.. FIRE HIM!!!!!
There secondary and linebackers were doing an exceptional job of covering everyone. There were some short underneath stuff open, but not many, but it wouldn't have helped us, we needed some big chunk plays. Waldron needed to use Kmet more and commit more to the run to set up play action, and B. Jones and T. Jenkins went out hurt and Amegadjie had to come in at LT, and they made a mistake by not putting a TE out there to help chip for Amegadjie. This game could have been coached so much better but yeah Caleb was just not good for most of this game and was not accurate with his passes but when they needed him to drive down the field in the end and be good, he was.
HYPOCRISY! Stop the blaming nonsense. Bears short Kyler and Brisker. Stevenson same guy who has game winning pick 6 vs Titans. You guys are always cancel culture. NFL players are great. But sometimes they lose. See Browns beating Ravens.
You know what sends a message to the team? Trade Stevenson in the next week. He’s a productive CB on a rookie deal. Lots of value and there should be multiple teams out there who could use his services.
Not only was he not paying attention the first 4 seconds but he was the one who tipped the ball up

Maybe Velus has great muscle striations, POLES IT SHOULD FRP NOT FGB!!!!!!!
Even if the game is over, who talks shit to the crowd?
You play tight d on the previous play and tackle him inbounds it’s over
EBERFLUFF should’ve challenge two plays.
A joke of an organization. Bears are gonna Bears…
The flus juice well has run dry
Washington
So is Flus a liar or an idiot? Or both?
Eberflush!!
There
Another awful o-line and Shane Waldron showing
Caleb Williams. 36 yards in the 4th quarter of a game with only 4 completed passes is terrible! 🗑️
Bears have a porous offensive line. If you don't give a QB time to throw, he can't have good stats. This is NOT on Caleb Williams.
Games over move on
You know what sends a message to the team? Trade Stevenson in the next week. He’s a productive CB on a rookie deal. Lots of value and there should be multiple teams out there who could use his services.
Matt Nagy was better
