Little did I know ownership Mike Mccasky fired GM Vainisi, Putting himself in charge and it was the beginning of the end for the Chicago Bears. Lack of good draft picks doomed them by 1991
The Bears had many extra draft picks in that timeframe. The Bears got two first round picks for Wilber Marshall signing as a free agent with Washington.

@@tonywright282 McMahon was crushed on a TD throw to Morris in the first half. After that you could see the balls he threw had nothing on them. I think you're right about 86. Brady passed for 349 more tds than Elway (349… think about that). Almost 38,000 more yards, won 2 more MVPs and 5 more SB’s lol. I always liked Elway, but it’s not even close man.
@@letsrevieweverything144 I don’t wanna argue about it though. I’m an old school guy who grew up on 80’s/90’s football and yes that was a much tougher era of football no doubt. I have much respect for Elway
@@mattst.germain4023 Stats arent the same now as they were in the 80's and 90's. Elway played under a coach for half his career that didnt believe in throwing on 1st or second down. no point in arguing u are right. just hard to ever compare eras. better to just lump all the greats in one pool and call thenm the greatest.
It’s amazing what happened to the bears after ‘85
I remember this season. The uniform guys put John Elways decal on crooked. Bet you can't stop looking at it the rest of the game.
I forgot we had Anderson and Payton both starting the game. That is awsome but Anderaon at FB shocked me
Mecklenburg was no joke on Techmo bowl😂
Brilliant
Proper bronco kit too
What a crazy box score lol.
I was watching this game in my living room! I thought Denvers plan was awesome!
Daaa Bears!
bubba.
i was at that game i was eight years old ah the 80s
80s was better than today, but peak football was late 50s - early 60s
Crazy how little the players look compared to today. Back when the Bears actually had an offense.
Man 37 years ago.
I was 14 a freshman in highschool This was the year Denver Lost in the Superbowl to the Redskins HTTR forever
Do you have more 80’s chiefs? Do you do baseball too? If so please 80’s Royals… Thanks so much, watching these classic games is awesome!
I have about hundreds of 80's games from all teams to possibly work on at some point. I've done a bit of baseball -- ruclips.net/p/PLgbtYZmWdbXKfrgB5gW--TPX0QzT8Lkmg -- but NFL is my main focus
@@davevolskysbackdoor5673 Thanks so much I’ll be on the look out… LOL… Thanks for all you do it makes people happy and we all need that!
On every scoring drive my dad or I would call and say did you see that.Man I miss those days.We both are die hard bears fans from Chicago let's go bears beat Washington this sunday
Kevin Butler I think this was his 8th season😂
Serves Ditka right for Perry to fumble on the goal line as poetic justice for Payton not getting that TD in SB 20 although 3 seasons prior … it was the football God’s way of reminding him of that injustice … getting too cocky and cute and it costs them momentum and the game … RIP Walter !
Oh get over it Walter didn’t score in the Super Bowl boohoo. I guess some people forget it’s a team sport and they won the big game. If walter couldn’t get over it then he was a bad teammate
@@williamstocker584 oh please … he worked his ass off for some bad teams … and that was his crowning moment, his crescendo of his career and his lack of awareness coach somehow forgot to call a package for him at the goal line to get a chance to score … clearly you see karma appearing here in this game with Perry yet again fumbling …
Great game
Our new uniforms are ugly lets go back these
This was the beginning of when the AFC was so vastly inferior to the NFC, but during the regular season a lot of times the AFC could compete a little bit. They were still you could tell they were still a little bit inferior to the heavyweight like the bearers of the NFC, but they could compete with them but then in the Super Bowls they just couldn’t compete but Denver during the regular season a lot of times would play these big heavy NFC teams through the Hiltonand beat them sometimes
wow AL still commentating...
Football looked so different in that century. Being born in 2007, this footage from last century seems like another planet.
Was a better place
No ads being shoved up your ass. No corporate interference. No Bullshit...just football.
November 16 1987
PERRY experinent ending in Denver 1:08:00 much like John Lynch would End the DANTE HALL at WR experiment 16 yrs later.
3:29:39 mark - Why does McMahon looks like Rocky Dennis?
Denvers '87 defense was horrible and got scorched in the Superbowl.
Orange crush!!!
John Elway was an established player around the time 2 trips to super bowls both loses to New York Giants and Washington Redskins with winning record but would have to lose 1989 to San Franciaco but won 1998-1999 and now Hall Of Famer and won another super bowl with Gary Kubiak as Head Coach his backup and was GM picked up Peyton Manning to win the super bowl.
Boy Howdy is that a sub
when football was football
At 1:45:27, Herschel Walker being traded? Never!
broncos' defense look like high school players -- so small
Mike Hart is giving Willie so much cushion that when he stops he's got a cover 6 yards just to get to Willie before he can try tackle him that it's just the worst coaching I have ever seen in the NFL
Dierdorf was great
this could have been the super bowl they gave washington by far there toughest game if they had won would have hosted minnesota n with a win would have played denver in the bowl!!!!
The rest of the nfc improved rams ,49ers ,redskins but the bears did not they were still dominant but the same
