Damn, just watched the Druid PB run from March. Your work in the River/CS was unreal; it was like watching a Jedi play Diablo. It feels like the WR pass/fail is mostly dependent on RNG at this point, given the skill of the top tier runners. Keep it up and love your content!

Watching you play Diablo 2 kills me because when I started as a small child getting through acts took forever. This was due to skill and a limit on pc time and sharing so I'm so hype for the remaster to pick it up again.
I honestly thought this was a hardcore run until you died and released, you definitely played it like a hardcore run, with the rejuves and stuff, and it probably saved a ton of time, guess all those pally runs paid off :)
Assassin was like my first and favorite character to pick. My second was the amazon. I hated melee fighting my enemies since I got traumatized by the enemies and dark art style of Diablo 2, but I still kept going with assassin cause she cool as heck. I played Diablo when i was like 6.
Back in second grade I had a first edition, holographic, Japanese print Blastoise that an adult neighbor of mine tricked me into trading it for a bunch of awful cards. Found out later that card, at the time, was worth like two hundred bucks. God only knows what it'd be worth now. Haven't played pokemon since. Congrats on the second WR by the by.

@MrLlamaSc I was the asshole at 4:28:39 who donated the 100 bits to ask if you might be interested in getting a second place run. Although I still think it's an idea worth considering, I now realize that I probably should not have asked that 20 minutes before completing a WR attempt (which ended up being the WR). That question probably would have been better timed either at the beginning of the run or maybe during a Holy Grail stream. So my apologies!!

Why does everyone throw away the buckler right at the start of the game? i remember it from years ago too, but cant remember the story behind it anymore.
I like to throw three charge bolt sentries and two sentry wards than throw shock web for maximum dps. Bosses also take more damage from charge bolt sentry. Never timed myself but I was always the first one in hell every season and forwarding everyone to baal. Nithilak and chaos was my main magic find games. O and our first Tristam run we would spawn monsters to kill over and over till we were all lvl 90.

I noticed a lot of hardcore times are faster than their softcore counterparts. Does this mean that one possible softcore strat would be to abandon a run as soon as your first death? In other words pretend softcore is hardcore to get better times. I get the impression that many hardcore play styles are currently more efficient for speed running than the ones in softcore.
We just run hardcore more often! So that's why you're seeing it like that. But also when you finish a HC run yes it was deathless so the time is usually solid
Crazy idea.... at 1:09:21 what if you only can get one WR per chair.. so maybe you need to use a different chair for each run, You could do the bar stool next, then the couch! Maybe a standing Normal world record?
