I’ve made my Love Letter into a Celtic pride, yellow and gold. May this be a symbolic symbol of my love to my family, friends and good company. Thank you so much enjoy crocheting my sister from another mother.
Thank you! Beautiful wrap and stitch. As always, you do an amazing job at explaining everything along the way and making it very easy for anyone, beginners and oldies, to understand. I’ve just started this, and I’m excited to keep going. 🙂
Ty for being here with me for I'm making a blanket for my daughter. I have to use a90by 100 for a big one .I started with it on February 20th and have till May 1st.
Thanks Jen for another beautiful project I'll be making this tonight when I get home I'm always excited when I see your project on here I wait for you you're the best
Beautiful... My next project. I bought several skiens of this 3 weight verigated autumn colors yarn hunting for this exact pattern. This is going to be perfect. Thank you so much.
This is a absolutely GORGEOUS. Stunning shawl pattern, I cant wait to make it. I've been looking for several months for a shawl pattern I like and this is the one I Love. Thank you for sharing. 🥰💞💖
Your blog says worsted weight, but 3 weight yarn is light worsted / DK. Thank you for including the multiple so that I can figure out how to make this with my 4 weight yarn.
Beautiful stitch!! I’m doing a wrap maybe not as big as yours, but I think it will be gorgeous! Thank you, Jennifer, for your very patient tutorial!! Love it! 🤗
This is beautiful, I love the way you take your time with the tutorial, it makes it so much easier to follow along especially for us newbies .Thanks so much for sharing. Will definitely be trying this one.
Thanks for the beautiful pattern…your instructions are clear and easy to follow….I started this project and find that after the 5 /6 th rows the rows seem wider than my base chain….what am I doing wrong? I am new at crocheting
Thanks for sharing this very pretty pattern. Quick question: I see you crochet pretty loose stitches (compared to how I crochet). Is it important to try to keep the stitches this loose or is a little tighter ok? I'm thinking the looser the stitch the more "flexible" the fabric but since I'm not that an experienced crocheter I'm not sure how much of an impact (if any) this would have on this pattern. I'm sorry if I sound a little confusing or am not getting my question phrased properly.
No you’re great! You’re correct if you use a size larger to crochet this piece it will have more drape. Say you’ve got yarn/wool, etc, that’s a size 3, calls for a size 4 hook. If you size up to a 4.5 even it will help it to have more drape. Same if you’re using size 4 yarn/wool, etc, calls usually size 5 hook. If you got up even a 1/2 size to a 5.5 will give it the drape you may prefer. You are right, for pieces such as these, it’s better to go up 1/2 hook size rather than attempt to crochet “looser” I hope that helps you!💜 peace & happy creating!💜
Do I have to count 5 chain every time I start the next row? I want to thank you for showing how to crochet. I’m a beginner, I just started last month. Thank you again🙏😊
New Subscriber here, this is such a beautiful shawl, I think I will make this one for my mom, Idk if it's because this is an older video or.... but I tried using your code for the hook and it said it was invalid, maybe I missed the timeframe?
I have a question. In the video, you recommend #3 light yarn. But the etsy pattern recommends worsted weight yarn. I thought worsted weight was a #4? Does this matter. I'm trying to get better at reading patterns. Could you help me in knowing the differences?
I don’t know why, my shawl curls up. So I end up with the second row in a tight spiral instead of a nice flat row like yours. I followed your instructions. I don’t know what is happening!
I was waiting for you to show me how to end of row two but you say we have three rows! I’m confused! What happened to the end of row 2 and the beginning of row 3?
Hi Jenifer, I loved that shawl. I pressed on your written instructions link and used the link on that page to buy the yarns. The link refers me to the chunky one instead the light worsted. I didn’t pay attention to that it’s my fault. Please if you can edit that for other users. I waited 5 weeks for the yarns to arrive, can I still use the chunky one for this shawl? Thank you
I just finished making this and I love it but the starting edge is straight and the ending edge zigzaggy. Not sure how to fix this. It almost seems like I should finish with a row of single crochet or slip stitch to even it out. Any suggestions?
That video could have easily been 10 minutes shorter. You spent way too much time on the first row. However, I must say it’s a very pretty shawl and I might give it a try.
Here's the scarf version if you want to check it out too! www.fiberfluxblog.com/2015/01/free-crochet-patternlove-notes-scarf.html
Thanks, Jennifer! :)
Thank you so much for the crystal clear verbal instructions. Thank you also for not having any annoying background music.
Over the years you've designed some really beautiful shawls and this is one of them.

@@CanadianMum444 Yes it does! Thank you!
I wish there was a way to give the beginning end a shell edge. I love this shawl, but my ocd needs it to be the same😖
Could I use a bulky 5 for this??
I really really love this pattern however the photo looks like it has a collar and maybe sleeves like a slip over your head type thing
You have to wrap it that way and pin it….
Do I have to count 5 chain every time I start the next row?
I want to thank you for showing how to crochet. I’m a beginner, I just started last month. Thank you again🙏😊
Is the 90 foundation chain included the + 2 or not , please let me know. Thanks
Yes. 88 is the multiple of 4 and then add 2 so 90
@@janiceharrison8397 Thanks

Where can I get this kind of crochet hook?

Couldn't you go back to the chain and add a row 2 to the other side of the chain so both ends match?
Where can I find ur hook, I can’t find Dow below as u suggested.
At Furls website
How do I ware the shawl
I don’t know why, my shawl curls up. So I end up with the second row in a tight spiral instead of a nice flat row like yours. I followed your instructions. I don’t know what is happening!
Is this shawl rectangle?
Yes
كم فعلتي السلسله،،لا افهم الانجليزيه،،،ارجوكي وشكرا
I was waiting for you to show me how to end of row two but you say we have three rows! I’m confused! What happened to the end of row 2 and the beginning of row 3?
Would love some of these hooks but €32 for 1, with €27 shipping!!! Nope 😆
I hear you that price is crazy

Fabulous!! Can someone tell me what a h hook is in mm please? Thank you 😊
it is 5.0 mm
Hello Lorraine
Das hätte man auch kürzen können, da es die ganze Reihe ja immer so weiterging
Muy Bello, pero no está tradúcído al español. Que pena

🧶😍❤️👏👏👏🥰😘👍
Could be easier if we had how much yarn in grams and not in yards. My brain doesnt work in this measurement.
The packaging of the yarn skein usually has both it’s not that hard
That video could have easily been 10 minutes shorter. You spent way too much time on the first row. However, I must say it’s a very pretty shawl and I might give it a try.
Her videos are beginner friendly! Many of us appreciate that she does this
