When I played this I expected a nasty torture scene like they’ve always had in the treyarch games. I guess the devs folded out and ending up cutting parts out. There’s no way this is even controversial compared to No Russian. The game should’ve let you kill his son or atleast do some tactics that the military does in real life when torturing for information.
diffuse they literally had a water boarding scene. killed innocent kids, had kids dead bodies being shown. and the soldiers would kill kids in a mission. this game is way more controversial .
LookHereLookListen I know I already played through the whole campaign. I was already expecting something to happen to you (the player) because they always torture you in all the cods. I’m talking about the opposite where you torture them instead of them doing it to you
Soldiers don’t kill kids man, not unless there’s no choice, like if they have a grenade or something. Militaries do shady and fucked up shit but not as bad as you think, the really horrible stuff is done by agencies and black ops. Of course soldiers in Vietnam had to do some pretty fucked up stuff.
LookHereLookListen this game could’ve been even more controversial if they didn’t take out some of the scenes. There was supposed to be a rape scene in the Farah captured mission. And there was supposed to be a part where you abuse the kid in this mission too. It’s stated in the game log somewhere in the scripts. It’s clearly cut out.
This mission was so dark..... And I loved it! They even gave you a chance to choose if you want to see it or not and warns you before you play campaign everytime that it's going to be very crazy hahah
The dialogue for the son and wife is constant, and I couldn’t bring myself to it due to the wails of the mother and child. This game doesn’t desensitise violence, it doesn’t make you feel good about anything. Okay, I’m impressed, I thought they would’ve been too afraid to stir up controversy, too afraid to top what they did with No Russian but goddamn I was wrong.
*LMAO* They didn't top anything at all, they used his family as leverage. No Russian was chaotic and unseen for its day because mass shootings were rare.
Wonder Guy I wasn’t particularly just talking about this scene, but about the campaign as a whole. Though this scene still is insane to a player because we were so used to being the good guys. Killing the bad guys and saving the day. This scene blurs those lines between good and evil. Top may have been too strong of a description, since it’d be hard to top something as controversial as No Russian. However you’d have to be blind if you don’t see anything that reminds you of the old Call of Duty with these scenes. They’re gritty, they’re chaotic, exactly how Call of Duty used to be. Take a look at these scenes and compare that to whatever monstrosity they turned Black Ops 4 into. It may not be as controversial or over-the-top, but this is definitely a shift in the right direction in terms of the tone and feeling of Call of Duty.
Aaron J. Bravo He killed a child so killing him would be worse as demons would come for his soul and drag him down to hell for killing a child so yea death is worse ;)
My first play through at this part, I would shoot the butcher in various places to see if he gets a different reaction and then killing the family if he didn't. The game kicked me out of the mission saying "Are you serious?" after the 3rd time killing them
8:49 the stupidest thing you could do. I'm really surprised this was kept in the game, especially since they were going for more realism. Putting the end of the barrel next to someone's ear like that will leave em deaf if you shoot. You don't even have to be that close for it to happen.
I feel as if some players forget the morality of Garrick, to kill a unarmed man is one thing, but to kill a man infront of his wife and kid is a different level of fucked up. Personally I spared him and let the Russians take him, I wouldn't want to give a kid and women trauma for the wrong reason. Spec Ops forces you to confront the fact you killed innocents but Walker attempts to rationalize it only show his growing insanity, with the game also becoming increasingly hostile towards the player. The loading screen’s quotes go from general knowledge to confrontational. The ending is to only show that all your efforts to justify what you’ve done were pointless. The white phosphorus, the killing of civilians, all of it wouldn’t have happened if the player stopped and put the controller down (hence the flashbacks). The player at first thinks that finding Konrad will yield some affect that the player’s actions will amount to something only to be met with a mirror and to decide and decide our character’s fate after everything you’ve done.
“We get dirty and the world stays clean, that’s the mission”
Obviously, if people want speedrun on this game, they'll have to choose I'm out option.
Hadir wasn’t really a bad guy he just wanted Barkov dead which involved stealing gas I don’t think price and Gaz disagreed with him they just didn’t want him to start ww3
I mean, yeah, that's pretty much exactly what they say in the game
He did kill the Marin Raiders at the first mission tho
@@stevendriskell7342 that was accidental I'm pretty sure, they act surprised to find out that were American marines

“I don’t think so.”
“When you cross, a mentally scarred soldier, WITH AN ORGANISATION, THAT KILLS CHILDREN, AND TREATS LIFE LIKE TRASH!?”
“Call the police, price, Call the police!”
“I’ll tell you what you get! YOU GET WHAT YOU F*CKING DESERVE!”

“Goodnight. And always remember, that’s-“ *an unexpected error occurred. Trying to reconnect.*
"We get dirty and the world stays clean."
Sounds like something Solid Snake would say
My bro got kicked out of the mission and got a loading screen that said "are you serious?" Because he was doing 360 no scope to try and kill the butcher with the magnum lmao
He wat?!🤣🤣🤣🤣
yeah that also happens when u try to kill the baby in the first night vison misson three times
5:58 " the keretka theater i swear to you" he kinda sounded like mason there for a sec😅
>>Kyle Garrick: Where’s Hadir.
When I played this I expected a nasty torture scene like they’ve always had in the treyarch games. I guess the devs folded out and ending up cutting parts out. There’s no way this is even controversial compared to No Russian. The game should’ve let you kill his son or atleast do some tactics that the military does in real life when torturing for information.
there is a torture scene and numerous scenes with civilian deaths, i wouldn’t consider this a fold
diffuse they literally had a water boarding scene. killed innocent kids, had kids dead bodies being shown. and the soldiers would kill kids in a mission. this game is way more controversial .
It's one of those moments where if you were in his position he would've killed you all. That's what sets ppl apart
"Is hard to run with concussion,no?" HAHAHAHA THE ONLY SAVAGELY FUNNY MOMENT OF THIS GAME

I got a weird little shiver through my body when Cap Price said that.
Not as epic as OG Price's speeches

@@bluebod2264 It's a game you twat! And how did they justify this?

The dialogue for the son and wife is constant, and I couldn’t bring myself to it due to the wails of the mother and child. This game doesn’t desensitise violence, it doesn’t make you feel good about anything. That’s what’s so brilliant about this game, it was made to be controversial so people could realise how awful these things are.

There is another option.
You can leave the interrogation at any time by walking back to the door you went in.
What made me feel bad is if you stay long enough with the wife and the kids, she says “Thank you Sergeant for not shooting my son” and that made me instantly feel bad about pointing a gun to them.
She also tells her son that he was a good boy which made me sad

This mission made me rethink everything, rocked me to my core......this was excellent story writing.

5:55 love that "lying, lying"
My first play through at this part, I would shoot the butcher in various places to see if he gets a different reaction and then killing the family if he didn't. The game kicked me out of the mission saying "Are you serious?" after the 3rd time killing them
How cool would it be if Kyle said
“Mercy is for the weak”
that would be satisfying af
crazy how this campaign was on par with the older cods if not superior, then they had to fuck it all up with mwii and mwiii
8:49 the stupidest thing you could do. I'm really surprised this was kept in the game, especially since they were going for more realism. Putting the end of the barrel next to someone's ear like that will leave em deaf if you shoot. You don't even have to be that close for it to happen.
I didn't know Lewis Hamilton was so good at interrogations
I feel as if some players forget the morality of Garrick, to kill a unarmed man is one thing, but to kill a man infront of his wife and kid is a different level of fucked up. Personally I spared him and let the Russians take him, I wouldn't want to give a kid and women trauma for the wrong reason.
