@@umageddon I like Norm. He’s naughty.. all the talk show hosts loved him as he took up time over a joke.. he’s great fun. He’s just never made me laugh till it hurt.. more just a chuckle.. I just might be dead inside..
Norm is a comedic genius, without question. He is an acquired taste, for me at least, but once you get that his delivery is slightly above a Bob Newhart realm, you get it.
I honestly don't know if the scrabble story really happened or if it's just one of his terrible jokes, but I was still laughing like a drain at the end!
One time I met Norm on the outskirts of Medynsky and he says, he says, he says to me, he says, "I'm not Norm." He wasn't Norm. Didn't even look like him.
Just how did ol' Harold Delaney get a Scrabble game with three "B" tiles in it? Two used in RABBIT and one in BOOT. Your standard Scrabble game has two "B" tiles. And we know that there were no blanks used, since those were missing. I never heard tell of a Scrabble game like this.
That whole scrabble story. Killing Dave, the whole time. No punchline!.. Didn't matter 50 big laughs on the way to no punchline. Which of course, was the punchline.
The perfect punchline to that story would have been the revelation by Norm that he was at the wrong address and wasnt at some Bed & Breakfast but just some old guy's house!
How he does it. I guess you tell a story from the most annoying perspective, much like me Bean, thinking your a 10 year old, slightly retarded, bullied and anxious for attention and company. And then you mix in another character, either weird or normal to provide contrast. Let it all grow tedious and boring and ask really stupid questions to the audience. And after all this setup, you skip the punchline. It is a lot like Monty Python.
The more I hear about this norm macdonald fella the more I care for him
Tolate😊
Well played sir
Norm is definitely not a jerk
The more I hear about that Hitler fella, the less I care about him- seems like he was a real jerk.
Me too
I've got an image of Norm and Harold Delaney sitting on a cloud with their angel wings and harps, playing the strangest game of Scrabble ever.
Sharing a couple of egg mcmuffins
😂😂😂
With a double word score bonus for any key word from a Norm’s most famous jokes, such as “whore,” “pedophile” and “moth.”
Looking down, watching their friends getting raped by the devil.
That's frickin hysterical !!! lmao
Even though I am in my mid fifties, I am just discovering Norm McDonald. What an amazing talent!
I'm very excited for you!
Better late than never. He was a fascinating man. I keep coming back to his bits for laughs and relief.
That first joke is like the oldest joke ever and yet I’m sitting here laughing like a maniac. Best delivery ever!! Love you, Norm. ❤
Closes I see is maybe bob newhart on delivery lol
“You never heard tell of a BOOT?!” 😂

Norm sets up a joke like he's setting up a Rube Goldberg machine.
Part of the process is just getting there.

They would always keep inviting him to their shows.

Only norm and Chris elliot can make Dave laugh
He was a comedic genius - the world lost someone very special far too early.

He almost had to die young. It somehow made his comedy come full circle; it all makes complete sense in hindsight.
