@@waso778 Foreigners thinking that they "know" Russian usually do not use cases, genders and verb aspects. If we seem to understand your Russian speaking in some cases, it doesn't mean that you speak grammatically correct. Russian has three genders and 6 cases for any noun, applying it to verbs you'll recieve at least 40+ forms of every of them. I don't even mention participle and gerund. And tens of suffixes, and free word order that reflects fine shadows of meanings. If you think Russian grammar is easy, you don't even close to knowing it.

People sometimes forget English is pretty tough to master. So many pronunciation rules; because it loaned so many words from different languages, it appears more of a word soup sometimes.
@@pedrodelavi8936 the good thing about sanskrit tho is there are very little grammatical exceptions (unlike english). The script is completely phonetic and uses a very handy abugida writing system.

Chavezoid
Seriously.
so you are implying everybody who speaks english speaks it as a mother tongue?
Every language is difficult or easy to learn with respect to another language. You have to draw the line somewhere.
It is explained in the beginning that the video takes it that you speak English already..the fact we watch videos targeted on native speakers does not mean we need to be acknowledged every second of it. now if you are russian-american or a chinese person who teaches english...and you see your language "up there" you will know who the video was made for. It is impossible to make a universal video of the hardest languages to learn, as this is vastly different depending what your first language is.
Sorry but..English seems very cheap in front of all these languages.
...and hence easy to use and spread.
Yeah but it’s only because English is an international language. If English was a language only spoken in one small country, we would see it as a beautiful and unique language
English history is equally rich and fascinating tho. It's so widely spoken because the English ruled over a quater of the world. Something not many others claim to have done.

The word "video" is based in the latin word "video" which means "I'm seeing/watching".

In Arabic as in Korean, the subject is placed at the beginning of a sentence and before both the verb and the object. Also, not all sentences have to have a verb and for that Arabic does not have helping verbs. You can add a suffix to a verb to eliminate the subject as the verb and subject are written contented and pronounced as a single word. So, arabic so different not just in pronunciation but in grammar and structure.

Korean is seriously easier to learn than some people think, you can learn the alphabet in a couple of hours, and if you remember the sentence structure you'll be fine. If you're into Norse cultures learn Norwegian, lots of loan words and it's a gateway to learn other scandinavian languages like Swedish and Danish. lets change the title to "10 languages that are hard for english speakers"
Agreed, Japanese is so much easier for Chinese speaker.
Francis Meng well I am german and I find japanese pretty easy to learn😂
Why is the title relevant at all? The title and the entire video are in English; and so is the description. Clearly the video was made for those that speak English.
T DOGG 習い始めてちょっと経ってからが難しいって日本在住歴30年のイギリス人が言ってたぞ
Because there is something as neutral difficulty and difficulty for an individual. Some people came here because they wanted to know which language is the most complex scientifically. But then again I don't think anyone expect watchmojo to know anything at all about linguistics.
Every language is difficult for the person who is not willing to learn it.
Macdealerx you're Brazilian and you are not aware that there's no such language as Brazilian? I guess Japanese is still a harder one, no trust for your words
True. Im from indonesia and ofc i speak my mother language which is also not indonesia, me speak village lamguage. But I learn english by myself. Spanish and japan. Yes it's hard but when u really want to learn
U can work on it
True but asian languages are the hardest no matter your will
@@jeton9153 nope dude. If you put effort into that and really wanna learn, i think western people can do it. an me from Asia but learn Spanish panguage since i love Spanish. It does hard but i really put effort into that. And will keep learning untill i can talk in Spanish without looking at my book.

As a Slavic person, I can say that out of all Slavic languages, russian is the easiest to learn
+1 my personal list is: 100. Russian, 3. Ukrainan, 2. Czech, 1. Polish
As a non Slavic person who has studied some of the Slavic languages, I agree with you :-D
@@kuromibunnii7309 I study quite a few Slavic languages and Russian is by far the easiest. Even if I didn’t study them, all Slavic people know that Russian is the easiest
i agree
That's True, I really want to See someone Find macedonian Learning materials. In Macedonia there are over 40 dialects. I would say the easiest grammer is macedonian but the hardest to find
Korean itself may be difficult to learn but Hangul can be learned in as short as one hour
Josh Dormaier I learned how to read it in 15 minutes :)
True...
It looked intimidating at first, but I was surprised at how quickly I learned all the characters 😳
Is it really that easy? I've got a mad crush on this Korean girl and I am thinking to learn some Korean
Donny Cornelius no it’s not easy i have tried and it’s pain in the butt.
sanskrit and buddhism? uh..prakrit language was used during that time (research)..sanskrit is related to hinduism...and the script written on tht guy's neck is devanagri script (currently we used it in hindi) and that was jst english written in hindi nd that too wrong...
I know

Good luck!!! I'm learning Korean, Portuguese, and Danish haha
@@katla640 Thanks!! Good luck to you too! I love Portuguese, I've studied it for a while, but I've set it aside for sometime to focus on other stuff. I've always wondered how Danish is like, though. I've never even heard the language! How is it like??
@@violence8550 Well Danish is quite hard to pronounce. Since I speak Icelandic it's very easy for me to learn. So I mostly just need to practice on pronouncing the words right. The grammar is luckily not to hard but it has letters like ø, å, and æ.
@@katla640 Oh, I see. Yeah, the pronunciation of any Slavic language is kind of hard for a Valkanian like me, too. You speak Icelandic?? Sweet! It's an awesome language I hope I learn one day.
This video is stupid, because it should have shown language groups, since, for example, Russian is not the most difficult among slavic languages, Polish has more grammar rules and sounds, even though it uses Latin alphabet. Finnish and Hungarian are from finno-uralic branch and have next to identical difficulties in learning. BtW English is not even easy, It's THE easiest, It has almost no grammar and it is clear and strict and with next to no exceptions. Even Espanol has more to offer, at least they change their nouns and pronouns according to their gender affiliation. And Spanish is also easy.
And I don't get how Finnish and Hungarian got onto the list and Estonian not (Estonian is the hardest finno-uralic language(that has land))
English the easiest?
Google for the poem "The Chaos" and learn to pronounce that completely correct.
Happy learning!
It's written by a Dutchman by the way. :)
In my opinion Bulgarian is harder to learn than the other Slavic languages because of all of its rules and stuff. It's actually proven that Bulgarian is one of the hardest languages to learn completely.
+Varangian Guard come on, I was talking about classic spoken tongue, which has nothing to do with perverse, but, nevertheless brilliant tongue twisters.
Varangian Guard "The Chaos" is not that hard.
meanwhile தமிழ் be like ' அமைதி குழந்தைகளே ' drop a like if u can read this😉
In any case, the international/business language is recognized as English. So if any country wants to be on the international stage, learning English goes a long way, and it's relatively easy.

Korean has no relations to other languages? What do you mean, so many of the words are based on Chinese and it has literally the same grammar structure as japanese? Also, shares a few words with japanese.
