They ignored the person's question and RIGHTLY so. The reason they ignored the question is Lester's sister Kim had a pet, don't know if it was a farm animal by the same name as Trixie(their Boxer dog breed), who DID passed away. So to appease the pain in the arse who kept demanding and even calling and emailing them, they produced Trixie(their dog) to show that she was/is indeed alive. Watch their farm channels here in RUclips Ima Survivor Sanctuary and Longhorn Lester's where Lester addresses that issue and you'll get a better understanding regarding Trixie(their dog) and the situation surrounding this. @@kimberlyestright No, none of them didn't. It was a misinformation that someone on FB when Lester and Jami were doing a live and a viewer on FB read that their dog Trixie passed away. Then the person was DEMANDING and even emailing them for answers. So to shut the pain in the arse up, they featured Trixie in one of the videos to show that Trixie was/is indeed alive. Trixie, as they have alluded to dozens of times, ISN'T allowed out of the barndominium where they keep her except to get a bit of exercise and attend to her needs because if left to her devices, chases smaller animals and with rough playing have seriously injured them that resulted in their passing. Lester HAD addressed this issue on his RUclips channels Ima Survivor Sanctuary and Longhorn Lester's, as well as on FB regarding this matter. Look for RUclips on Longhorn Lester's for the video titled Trixie where he addresses this issue that happened leading to the accidental passing of Marsha the female turkey 🦃. Normally, he's funny, but he was serious as he was addressing this issue.
Never in all my life would I have ever thought I'd be sitting here ugly crying over a turkey with a broken heart! But here I am! I don't even like birds... but the more I watch yall, and I've been watching for yrs, the more I catch myself getting attached to the feathers! I'm feel so bad for Corny, give him all the extras of everything... love, food, snacks, attention.. he deserves it! ❤💔
My words exactly. I'm bawling over here for a turkey that I eat on Thanksgiving. OMGeez That Big Boy has made it into the hearts of everyone. I have watched for 5 yrs almost. Everyone one of those animals have weaselled their way into my heart. They are family, Our children.We have watched them daily to grow and have heavy hearts when they go. Lester, Jami, LE and Jake have all made that possible and it all started with a survival video of those precious babies Paty, Meg and Ima and Lester coming home to all the destruction from Hurricane Harvey. With that they have helped others heal in so many different ways.
Jami, I feel your broken heart, you my sweet lady are a mender of broken hearts. Through your videos you have helped so many human hearts that are struggling with life, not to mention the animal and feathered babies. Your loss is profound, but I know and see your beauty and grace and you will mend as will Cornholio. You had me in tears.. I truly feel the sorrow in your voice. We watch because we become attached to these animals also and I could see that you take a partial responsibility for not being able to protect Marsha. I got a totally different feeling from Lester’s video. I know that some viewers went WAY overboard but it just shows how involved they have become. He has a dog that bites people, chases cars, destroys plumbing and property, and kills chickens while living on a farm. Deep down he knows that Trixie is not a good dog for farm life. She is aggressive and dangerous..not all dogs are good no matter how much we love them. What would happen to a child that wandered into her pen? I don’t have any answers or suggestions because it’s not my business. I was just put off by Lester’s response even though I’m sure that some viewers went way over the line. I’m probably going to take a little break from his channels for a while because I’ve become too emotionally connected. His response should not have mattered to me. I watch for entertainment and it wasn’t the accident that bothered me it was the response. Gotta take a step back..
I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt hurt and a little put off by Lester’s “scolding”. He always goes on and on telling us don’t call ourselves fans and that we’re family. He shouldn’t have taken out his grief and anger at a few overboard subscribers on all of us loyal and loving longtime viewers.
It's easy to be wise after the event. People can yell all the coulda, woulda, shoulda's they want but Marshas tragic passing was still an accident. I hope Cornholio can get a new friend someday, and a new shot at being a dad!
This just proves that animals to have feelings but remember they aren't human so I don't know if they have the emotions the way we do but he is definitely morning Marcia RIP 🙏 so sorry all this happens to you guys. Here in LA if a dog ever bites a human just once the animal control has to come and pick that animal up. Just wondering if those laws apply in Texas? Trixie may be a sweet dog but not designed to live on a farm she kills, even though it's an instinct those animals are required to be in a non-kill shelter I don't know if you have those over there, anyway something to think about 😥🙏💜

Jami, when Cornie walked into the barn and looked up at the rafters where Marsha used to roost, my heart broke. We are all living and loving beings who share our lives here on earth. Cornholio knows Marsha's gone, and he misses her. So sad. So sorry for the loss of Marsha and her little Cornholio eggs.❤

Jami, I'm so sorry about Marsha's death and Cornholio's pain. I hope you and Lester look into getting some professional help for Trixie. I'm a dog mom and understand she's part of the family, but biting Kim, attacking Heidi and killing feathers are more than bad habits. Being locked up in the Barndominium or a stall doesn't seem like a good life for Trixie. I'm not even trying to tell you what you should do, but there are professional dog trainers that could possibly help Trixie. I know because we had to have one help with my Cairn Terrier, who turned dog aggressive in what seemed overnight. It took training, consistency and time, but he's so much better now. I still keep him leashed around other dogs, but he no longer attacks his brothers. Wishing y'all all the best.

Cornholio was my 1st thought when we heard about Marsha (RIP). His lonely life is sad. Whenever I think about the babies he always comes to mind & I send a prayer that a good mate for him will come to the sanctuary & be with him for a good long time. Prayers for the situation. I am truly sorry for your heartbreak and for Cornholio's heartbreak. Gloria was an amazing girl, unfortunately we didn't know how short her time was actually going to be. Cornholio really loved her and missed her dearly. The Dixie chicks were an odd happening. One flew off, one was a male and the other female left, became Dixie Chuck's gal. Marsha and Jan had their own stories as you said. I'm so very sorry about Marsha. She'd finally come around for Cornholio. I am hoping that another female or more can be found for Cornholio. As you talked his colors did change, as well as his puffing up. He finally went to white and light blue. He was listening and felt your tears. He's not quite sure what's going on yet. He will realize that she's not coming around and then will be confused and upset. I pray he gets another gal or 2. Thanks for the video, sad as it is. Jami, I’m sending you & Lester, Cornholio, Jake, Ben, Annie & the rest of the Littles, Bigs and Feather Babies lots of love, hugs and keeping y’all in my thoughts and prayers. It’s easy to say “don’t blame yourself,” but as such genuinely amazing kind hearted people? I think it’s next to impossible to turn that part of your brain off even if you know that you’re doing the best that you can. It’s also easy to read simple statements like “everyone makes mistakes,” and while that’s certainly true… it doesn’t do anything to eliminate the pain or produce an undo button in life. You take the experiences from the lives of those that cross your path, whether it be human or animal, and grow from them. As painful as all the losses of all the babies y’all have experienced have been, I am sure they have left you both having learned many different things from each individual baby (whether it’s a fur baby or feather baby). Whether it’s a conscious thought or not, you apply what you learn to what you do- as the saying goes “if you know better, you do better.” I was the caregiver to multiple relatives for different years- my Grandmother with advanced Alzheimer’s 93-95 passing in 2007, my Grandfather until he passed away of end stage kidney failure in 2010. I learned so much that even though I’m a teacher, when my Mother was diagnosed with cancer I had learned enough medical terminology that doctors were convinced I worked somewhere in the medical field because of how I spoke. I lost my Mother, my best friend, 7 months after her diagnosis despite her very hard fight. All of MY story was to say that yes, losses are hard, I still grieve for my Mom & Grandparents- but I feel like you can learn and apply things from the loss through the pain and grow from it. Trixie deserves love too and y’all could have done what many would do and surrender her to either a rescue or have her euthanized. I know how bad it feels to feel you have failed and many times we do. We are human. And although this is devastating, bad things happen on a rescue farm. I personally understand your guilt. When my dog killed my neighbors cat I had no words. But I had to understand it was an accident and my dogs nature. We must remember, animals are never %100 domesticated, no matter how much we humanize them. 💕
Jami, I'm so sorry for our families loss. It's hard having a dog that has a high prey drive. People who don't know or have dogs don't know or understand what it's like to always be on edge and guard. I know you're so mad at Trixie right now but you still love her and willing to work through her naughtiness. That alone takes a beautiful, courageous, and compassionate heart that Lester and you both have. Honestly I know a few people who would've put their dog down or passed them off on someone else to deal their issues.
I have a dog that is naughty herself. My brothers dog lived with me and she had to go live with him because there were a lot of fights between them. The final draw was the worst fight they have ever had. I had just woke up and heard a growl then the fight broke out. Now life is better but not all the way great. I have a little 5lb dog and she will go at her when she’s angry (the little dog fights back and she steps down. 80lb dog steps down to a 5lb dog). My family has been really frustrated but she is a rescue so we have to work with her. I did rescue her as a puppy but she was taken from her litter and mom at 5 or 6 weeks old. When dogs are taken from mom to early they can have a lot of social problems when they are older. I love my girl and I will never give up on her. I take her anxiety and aggression with all the love that she has.
I can certainly relate as my girl (Pattern?) was on the top of the euthanasia list in Georgia after her original owners surrendered her, claiming she had killed their neighbor’s chicken. Since I’ve had her (nearing 7 years), she has killed dozens of rabbits that dared to enter the fenced yard, the latest being just last night. She is otherwise very devoted and is fine with her dog and kitty siblings.
So true, I have a Westie and she killed a baby bunny and a kitten. Both were in nests behind bushes that us humans didn’t know were there but SHE found them. I called her ‘Bunny Killer’ for quite awhile. They are carnivores and animals, but it is even worse when a pet kills another pet. Prayers for you & Lester’s hearts and minds, as well as Jake and Ben💕
I like your statement but why would anyone want to live on edge and on guard all the time ?I have lived that life too. Even Lester mentioned when an animal doesn't fit in with the Sanctuary he found other solutions for them to live, I just wonder why he doesn't do that with this dog? I know it's extremely difficult but sometimes you have to do what's right for all because this isn't the first time and it won't be the last 💜

Hugs of comfort. I know what it's like to own a pet you have to watch. Both of my dogs have high prey drives and they are not allowed to run loose. My old terrier mix is losing her hearing and vision (that presents its own challenges for us) and is no longer set off like in the past, but my 11 year old lab mix still occasionally mock attacks the cats and if he was loose outside, he would go after the wild cats that roam around, for real. A few years ago one of my sisters stayed with me while she went through a divorce, and we had to watch him around her chihuahua. He did actually attack her once for taking a toy, but I pulled him off real fast by his ear, so she wasn't hurt. But yeah, it's hard when you have a pet you love that doesn't mix well with others. 💖🙏💖🙏💖

Would it not be better to find a better suitable place to home Trixie? It probably drives her crazy having all the chickens, ducks and turkeys around your place. Plus it would be safer for the little ones. I am sure this isn’t the first little one she has killer. I know folks will think I am awful for saying this but this is a sanctuary for animals. A place where they should be safe. Jami, your heart is so big. I am so sorry you are hurting.

They ignored the person's question and RIGHTLY so. The reason they ignored the question is Lester's sister Kim had a pet, don't know if it was a farm animal by the same name as Trixie(their Boxer dog breed), who DID passed away. So to appease the pain in the arse who kept demanding and even calling and emailing them, they produced Trixie(their dog) to show that she was/is indeed alive. Watch their farm channels here in RUclips Ima Survivor Sanctuary and Longhorn Lester's where Lester addresses that issue and you'll get a better understanding regarding Trixie(their dog) and the situation surrounding this. @@kimberlyestright No, none of them didn't. It was a misinformation that someone on FB when Lester and Jami were doing a live and a viewer on FB read that their dog Trixie passed away. Then the person was DEMANDING and even emailing them for answers. So to shut the pain in the arse up, they featured Trixie in one of the videos to show that Trixie was/is indeed alive. Trixie, as they have alluded to dozens of times, ISN'T allowed out of the barndominium where they keep her except to get a bit of exercise and attend to her needs because if left to her devices, chases smaller animals and with rough playing have seriously injured them that resulted in their passing. Lester HAD addressed this issue on his RUclips channels Ima Survivor Sanctuary and Longhorn Lester's, as well as on FB regarding this matter. Look for RUclips on Longhorn Lester's for the video titled Trixie where he addresses this issue that happened leading to the accidental passing of Marsha the female turkey 🦃. Normally, he's funny, but he was serious as he was addressing this issue.
Never in all my life would I have ever thought I'd be sitting here ugly crying over a turkey with a broken heart! But here I am! My words exactly. I'm bawling over here for a turkey that I eat on Thanksgiving. OMGeez That Big Boy has made it into the hearts of everyone. I have watched for 5 yrs almost. Everyone one of those animals have weaselled their way into my heart. They are family, Our children.We have watched them daily to grow and have heavy hearts when they go. Lester, Jami, LE and Jake have all made that possible and it all started with a survival video of those precious babies Paty, Meg and Ima and Lester coming home to all the destruction from Hurricane Harvey. With that they have helped others heal in so many different ways.
Jami, I feel your broken heart, you my sweet lady are a mender of broken hearts. Through your videos you have helped so many human hearts that are struggling with life, not to mention the animal and feathered babies. Your loss is profound, but I know and see your beauty and grace and you will mend as will Cornholio. You had me in tears.. I truly feel the sorrow in your voice. We watch because we become attached to these animals also and I could see that you take a partial responsibility for not being able to protect Marsha. I got a totally different feeling from Lester’s video. I know that some viewers went WAY overboard but it just shows how involved they have become. He has a dog that bites people, chases cars, destroys plumbing and property, and kills chickens while living on a farm. Deep down he knows that Trixie is not a good dog for farm life. She is aggressive and dangerous..not all dogs are good no matter how much we love them. What would happen to a child that wandered into her pen? I don’t have any answers or suggestions because it’s not my business. I was just put off by Lester’s response even though I’m sure that some viewers went way over the line. I’m probably going to take a little break from his channels for a while because I’ve become too emotionally connected. His response should not have mattered to me. I watch for entertainment and it wasn’t the accident that bothered me it was the response. Gotta take a step back..
I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt hurt and a little put off by Lester’s “scolding”. He always goes on and on telling us don’t call ourselves fans and that we’re family. He shouldn’t have taken out his grief and anger at a few overboard subscribers on all of us loyal and loving longtime viewers.
It's easy to be wise after the event. People can yell all the coulda, woulda, shoulda's they want but Marshas tragic passing was still an accident. I hope Cornholio can get a new friend someday, and a new shot at being a dad!

Trixie may be a sweet dog but not designed to live on a farm she kills, even though it's an instinct those animals are required to be in a non-kill shelter I don't know if you have those over there, anyway something to think about 😥🙏💜

Jami, I'm so sorry about Marsha's death and Cornholio's pain. I hope you and Lester look into getting some professional help for Trixie. I'm a dog mom and understand she's part of the family, but biting Kim, attacking Heidi and killing feathers are more than bad habits. Being locked up in the Barndominium or a stall doesn't seem like a good life for Trixie. I'm not even trying to tell you what you should do, but there are professional dog trainers that could possibly help Trixie. I know because we had to have one help with my Cairn Terrier, who turned dog aggressive in what seemed overnight. It took training, consistency and time, but he's so much better now. I still keep him leashed around other dogs, but he no longer attacks his brothers. Wishing y'all all the best.

I am truly sorry for your heartbreak and for Cornholio's heartbreak. Gloria was an amazing girl, unfortunately we didn't know how short her time was actually going to be. Cornholio really loved her and missed her dearly. The Dixie chicks were an odd happening. One flew off, one was a male and the other female left, became Dixie Chuck's gal. Marsha and Jan had their own stories as you said. I'm so very sorry about Marsha. She'd finally come around for Cornholio. I am hoping that another female or more can be found for Cornholio.
As you talked his colors did change, as well as his puffing up. He finally went to white and light blue. He was listening and felt your tears. He's not quite sure what's going on yet. He will realize that she's not coming around and then will be confused and upset. I pray he gets another gal or 2.

Jami, I’m sending you & Lester, Cornholio, Jake, Ben, Annie & the rest of the Littles, Bigs and Feather Babies lots of love, hugs and keeping y’all in my thoughts and prayers.
It’s easy to say “don’t blame yourself,” but as such genuinely amazing kind hearted people? I think it’s next to impossible to turn that part of your brain off even if you know that you’re doing the best that you can. It’s also easy to read simple statements like “everyone makes mistakes,” and while that’s certainly true… it doesn’t do anything to eliminate the pain or produce an undo button in life. You take the experiences from the lives of those that cross your path, whether it be human or animal, and grow from them.
As painful as all the losses of all the babies y’all have experienced have been, I am sure they have left you both having learned many different things from each individual baby (whether it’s a fur baby or feather baby). Whether it’s a conscious thought or not, you apply what you learn to what you do- as the saying goes “if you know better, you do better.”
I was the caregiver to multiple relatives for different years- my Grandmother with advanced Alzheimer’s 93-95 passing in 2007, my Grandfather until he passed away of end stage kidney failure in 2010. I learned so much that even though I’m a teacher, when my Mother was diagnosed with cancer I had learned enough medical terminology that doctors were convinced I worked somewhere in the medical field because of how I spoke. I lost my Mother, my best friend, 7 months after her diagnosis despite her very hard fight. All of MY story was to say that yes, losses are hard, I still grieve for my Mom & Grandparents- but I feel like you can learn and apply things from the loss through the pain and grow from it.

There is so much truth in everything you say. I'm sure it will help Jami and everyone at the sanctuary. Bless you and your family and I lost my mother and brother nine years ago 26 days apart. My brother in Texas and my mama in Georgia. Loss brings grief but through the sadness we gain strength. Prayers and Peace to you all.

I personally understand your guilt. When my dog killed my neighbors cat I had no words. But I had to understand it was an accident and my dogs nature. We must remember, animals are never %100 domesticated, no matter how much we humanize them. 💕

Jami, I'm so sorry for our families loss. It's hard having a dog that has a high prey drive. People who don't know or have dogs don't know or understand what it's like to always be on edge and guard. I know you're so mad at Trixie right now but you still love her and willing to work through her naughtiness. That alone takes a beautiful, courageous, and compassionate heart that Lester and you both have. Honestly I know a few people who would've put their dog down or passed them off on someone else to deal their issues.
55 years ago, my family had a dog that ran deer. Game Warden told Dad, take care of it or receive fines and charges.
I have a dog that is naughty herself. My brothers dog lived with me and she had to go live with him because there were a lot of fights between them. The final draw was the worst fight they have ever had. I had just woke up and heard a growl then the fight broke out. Now life is better but not all the way great. I have a little 5lb dog and she will go at her when she’s angry (the little dog fights back and she steps down. 80lb dog steps down to a 5lb dog). My family has been really frustrated but she is a rescue so we have to work with her. I did rescue her as a puppy but she was taken from her litter and mom at 5 or 6 weeks old. When dogs are taken from mom to early they can have a lot of social problems when they are older. I love my girl and I will never give up on her. I take her anxiety and aggression with all the love that she has.
I can certainly relate as my girl (Pattern?) was on the top of the euthanasia list in Georgia after her original owners surrendered her, claiming she had killed their neighbor’s chicken. Since I’ve had her (nearing 7 years), she has killed dozens of rabbits that dared to enter the fenced yard, the latest being just last night. She is otherwise very devoted and is fine with her dog and kitty siblings.
So true, I have a Westie and she killed a baby bunny and a kitten. Both were in nests behind bushes that us humans didn’t know were there but SHE found them. I called her ‘Bunny Killer’ for quite awhile. They are carnivores and animals, but it is even worse when a pet kills another pet. Prayers for you & Lester’s hearts and minds, as well as Jake and Ben💕
I like your statement but why would anyone want to live on edge and on guard all the time ?I have lived that life too. Even Lester mentioned when an animal doesn't fit in with the Sanctuary he found other solutions for them to live, I just wonder why he doesn't do that with this dog? I know it's extremely difficult but sometimes you have to do what's right for all because this isn't the first time and it won't be the last 💜

Hugs of comfort. I know what it's like to own a pet you have to watch. Both of my dogs have high prey drives and they are not allowed to run loose. My old terrier mix is losing her hearing and vision (that presents its own challenges for us) and is no longer set off like in the past, but my 11 year old lab mix still occasionally mock attacks the cats and if he was loose outside, he would go after the wild cats that roam around, for real. A few years ago one of my sisters stayed with me while she went through a divorce, and we had to watch him around her chihuahua. He did actually attack her once for taking a toy, but I pulled him off real fast by his ear, so she wasn't hurt. But yeah, it's hard when you have a pet you love that doesn't mix well with others. 💖🙏💖🙏💖

Would it not be better to find a better suitable place to home Trixie? It probably drives her crazy having all the chickens, ducks and turkeys around your place. Plus it would be safer for the little ones. I am sure this isn’t the first little one she has killer. I know folks will think I am awful for saying this but this is a sanctuary for animals. A place where they should be safe. Jami, your heart is so big. I am so sorry you are hurting.

Thank you for the story jami. My eyes always water. Especially when this always happens to the good guys in life & then they have trust issues & push away the good woman. It's a endless cycle of hurt. We have to heal ourselves & then find the other good partners in life who understand.
