That's a brilliant idea engineer. Ang turo sa akin ng matandang arkitekto dyan everytime magagawa ka ng flat surface exposed sa alikabok at ulan lagi dapat naka slope inward sa edge ng para di magdrip. But your solution is good.
Using this around my room since I couldn't drill in it, it's super effective. It holds my mirror perfectly. Just needed to leave it for at least an hour or so. Super nice product!! 💯
Yes. For all structures we do we specify an drip edge. We customize it or buy the original. It's available in the Philippines. The only thing missing in your version is the extra lip. You can't use an angle because water will creep.
@@helloorraine I left some info for you but I think I breached some YT protocol. But however for now let me give you the name of the company. It's City Trade and the brand is Alusite. Lol. The disadvantages of modern designed homes with rough concrete walls exposed to the weather elements. From an architect's point of view, I'll have those exposed concrete walls weather painted. Check out Boysen or Davies paints. I've projects with exposed concrete walls withstood years of exposure before having it repainted again. Cheers and good vibes 🇦🇺
I'm a bit skeptical on this solution btw. The stain is caused from where a lot of water flows from a specific area of the concrete roofing. Not only that, the Drip Edge design is different from a Angle bar. If you can compare its design, you can see that there's another slope at the bottom of the Drip Edge, which is to ensure that since water tends to sway when it flows especially when there's a wind blowing, then that bottom would help to flow away the water from touching the concrete wall. My free advice is to find a solution first to create a water way on the top so that all water from your concrete roof deck will flow there. The design would kinda look like a 1-inch X 2-inch concrete bumper on the edge of the concrete to ensure that the water won't overflow, and then another design with it is that would be a small shallow concrete gutter near that bumper so that there will be a flow for the water. My next advice is to use Z-bar instead of the Angle Bar.
Hi slater, with an angle bar I am 100% sure that the water will still crawl to the wall finish. U-channel will be the better solution. when it comes to design naman talaga eh that will be the downside of strong concrete edges un maintenance nya. and to those commenting about the ledges po, meron naman different approach dun. may drip moulds or grooves po tayo. Thanks!
