Simon, another great and patient video - thanks. Lovely to see your dogs playing together too.
Another well made and informative video Simon! Watched it with the Mrs-big mistake, she now wants a set of tea, sugar and coffee pots Doh! Keep them coming and thanks again!
Someones gonna be busy!!! 😆😆
I will have to try making several of these cans. Working making anything from wood is always great fun to spend my time. Great how to video, I'm really not into bird watching a although I do enjoy listening to an watching wildlife when I am hunting. I seen other video you did on making the thumbstick. It's woodworking too.
Cheers Terry, I'm a tinbasher by trade but always go back to working with wood. Its a wonderful material!!😆👍🏼Good luck with the pots .
Great video mate you do nice nest box's with the same method .
Loved it Simon, absolutely great job of the pot and the filming. Loved the shots of the deer and the dogs in the river. Great film. Im going to share it on a few bushcraft sites now 👍
Thanks Rick, appreciate that.
Thanks Rick, much appreciated.
Lots of work. But, good work.
Super vid. Shout out to @johnmullaney for the flexcut scorp tip. ;)
Great video and great pot! Are the pots air tight with the lid? Wondering if you favour birch for any reason for these pots, or is it just because that's what you found?
Thanks, no the pots aren't airtight. Just a friction fit and I like the look of the birch bark and its a nice easy wood to work with👍🏼
You are very good at your craft. ...would you please explain Shrink Pot ? Thanks again. Craig. Pa.
Thanks, the term shrink pot refers to working the wood green and as the wood dries around the base it shrinks to form a seal.
Cracking video mate come over from Ricks channel give you a bit support good luck with your channel mate atvb jimmy 😎😎
Cheers Jimmy, i appreciate the support mate.
I thought I’d go back a look at your first ever video, I noticed on the wall near the door you have a Lt Col rank slide, I know you’re ex army but I didn’t put you down as a Rupert. Mind you an ex RSM taken a commission I suppose
How do you get permission to take timber from the woods?
Who am I going to ask?
@@simoneardley whoever owns the wood I presume, because somebody must do.
Thousands of lifetime projects with woodglut plans.
