A great video as always. I speak Spanish (native), but I'm still learning English and Japanese, because for college I need to learn those languages. Sometimes it's very difficult, but I try to remember and relate vocabulary from English to Japanese, for example the word "Orange" and 「オレンジ」and so I can remember both.

Definitely start by learning Hiragana and Katakana first, then move on to Kanji. With Kanji find out what fits you. Many eg use the Heisig method (kanji koohii is a site that follows this approach and it's free!), though it wasn't for me Cure Dolly here on RUclips has a free online course for grammar. I highly recommend it! Nobody explains grammar as well as they do imo Spend a lot of time with the language itself. Listen to videos in Japanese even if you don't understand much yet. Read a lot as well! Like children's stories online or slice of life manga, bilingualmanga.com has some like Polar Bear Cafe
