recently I'm working on a 360 vid for my mfa thesis and whenever I search for something very specific - fits with my style your tuts are just there like a bunch of life saving jackets. Thank you!
I just had to stop and write this when you added the cloned spheres and traced them - it was amazingly clever way to add streaks. Thanks so much again for your tuts!!!
Thanks a lot! I made this awesome effect through your video but i have a problem right now.... Rendering view in c4d is perfect but Rendering in Picture Viewer is empty,,,,, (exporting files are also empty... only streaks are not working) Somebody help me please,,,
could you show a more in depth way of creating the write on for example how do you create small metaballs, what sizes do you need to use also do you have a tutorial of how to create the "eyedesyn" flat typeography how do you have rounded edges useing a sweep and a circle thank you for this tutorial i will keep trying and would love some help with the write on. thanks!!
a lot of questions here in the comments but u haven't answered anyone.. running into the same issue, 2 minutes in, why start your tutorial this way? is that movement keyframed?
hey, when i try to render the strokes out in my actual render it looks very different then how it looks in my viewport. I have my editor subdivision and render subdivisions at the same number. I suspect i may have to tweak some of my render settings or does it have to do with the actual metaball ? Thanks !
If editor & Render SubD are the same it should work fine, might want to make sure your order of object hierarchy is the same as what I have as that could effect how it renders
I got about as far as adding the cloner objects. I don't know if its the latest C4D but there is no way I'm able to get the metaball effect to be as thin as you are able to. It's either chunky or super faceted and unusable.
Hi EJ, I still cannot get the metaball effect to be as thin as you are able to even after using the smooth defomer. I'm using C4D R15 Do you have another advice ?
You are the best c4d teacher.

+Asu Ceren so good to hear! thanks for your support!
I've been having a marathon session with your videos this weekend. Thank you so much for all of this, you've changed everything for me!

how did you get the sphere to move along the spline? And.. is there a more economic way to pull this effect off? Like... something with particles?
Awesome.
thanks for watching!
very nice

Cool as always, many thnx, this sure comes in handy!! :)
how did you animate the sphere along the spline? I cant see the align to spline tag..
I think he used animate->cappucino, before the tutorial began. Drag the sphere realtime to record it.
If you work with small scales
awesome tut. thanks alot!
+김지우 You're very welcome! Thanks for the view!

But you didn’t explain how you animate the eye on?
Great vid, but whenever I try to export this as a alembic it only saves the sphere
Make sure you select all the required objects to save as alembic, or even export by going to File > Export As... and choose Alembic. Hope that helps!
Awesome. Thanks. Oh wow she's really chugging. Maxon please fix the speed of the view port. Pretty please.
How do i get materials to look like that? 2d... I did everything but my materials look like crap :(
in the material settings unmark color and just mark luminance, in luminance choose the color that you want...
@@mariolases Life saving comment here. Thank you!
thanks a lot!!!
thank you
OMG U r so smart!!
Nooooo, just learning along with everyoen else! :)

Are the settings for the metaball the same in both the logo reveal and the text write on? thanks!

Make sure to have a bigger spline
Hi ! I'd like to do the same thing but with a "pixel" style (like the particles was pixel) Do you know how can i do that ?
Thank you :) !
You could use my plugin Pixelate It to pixelate the strokes!
Thank you !
its a nice animation styling, but i have a problems when I'm going to render this tracer with Cloner object not seen :( please help me out
thanks
make sure "render instances" isn't checked on the cloner
no, its not showing in my R17 :( I'm stuck
same problem in R18 so sad,,,
I am seeing the same problem @eyedesyn. Where is the path for the sphere movement?! :(
Not sure! You may have not setup the Tracer properly, make sure you followed all the steps!

Try adding the smoothing deformer which is shown after the metaball to get the thinner streaks.
perhaps I missed that detail! I'll try again!

Do you have another advice ?
how to do painting on walls using spraypaint in c4d?
Something like that would be best as an animated texture, maybe? Making the spraypaint animation in After Effects?
