  • I took my 12,000w sur ron electric bike out to some off road trails in the mountains. Come along for a high speed ride with me in the mountains and see what it's like to ride a fast 72v electric bike with 12,000 watts of power off road in the hills of southern california.

    We should meet up half way on the Santa Monica Mountains and rip around, unless you're more of a solo style man. could be fun 🤙🏼

    Electrically speaking, at 166 amps you should have 2/0 welding cables feeding the motor

    Lowering your tire pressure for the dirt will help a lot.

      Very true, May try that but worried about pinch flats, considering going tubeless

      Don’t lower pressure, motorcycles are not like cars off road

      @@JuicedJoyrides if you don’t have one already, check out the xiaomi battery powered air pump. You can lower your tire pressure on your dirt rides and then pump it back up when you get back on the street

      @JAF777 Год назад +1

      I’m running the same tires and I ride those trails often. 15psi or less in the rear and 20 in the front. I’d go even lower but I do have to ride the streets a bit to get to the trails. Night and day difference with traction.

      @@c2thew nah there's a better solution. Get a 48V pump and put a surron charge connector on it. Yes the battery is more like 60 volts but the pump will just run faster. I've been doing this for a couple years had no problems with the pump.

    How are you checking the motor temp, and at what temp is too hot/concerning?

      The EggRider display shows it, not sure on how accurate it truly is but a good gauge. I think it’s fine up to 100c at least, I’ve never even got mine that hot yet. Actually just did a speed run to Hollywood and it never went over 70c, new video soon

      That trip was maybe 30 or 35, total on the battery I’d probably 500ish?
