This video is a tribute to the magnificent pinto stallion named Flaash of McCullough Peaks near Cody, Wyoming USA. He lived in the wild until the age of 17. He died in the harsh 2022-2023 winter that had unusual sub-zero weather and non-stop snow for an extended amount of time. We will miss you, Flaash! Run free forever!

My goodness you have such a beautiful talent for telling the wild ones stories Karen thank you for speaking up for them along with making more people aware of just how special & incredible these sentient creatures truly are. We owe them so much and the way many are treated(both domestic & wild is truly heartbreaking & disgusting)they deserve better. The high pitched sound is part of the greeting. Mostly the stallions do it, but I've heard mares do it too when greeting another horse.
