Thank you for making this!! There's barely anything out there for ADHD small business owners, just videos of CEO's talking about how it's their super power and they make millions. This was so practical and helpful for me. I'm on the edge of burnout and wanting to sack in my successful small business because of my ADHD. Everything takes at least twice as long because i loose everything in seconds. I sometimes leave emails for days which can be detrimental. I stop a task half way and I will forget about it, never to return. It's a lot! I'm so glad i'm not alone!
Oh and if a year on you're struggling with water, you can get an electronic coaster that lights and beeps every 30 minutes! Works great if you're at a desk, otherwise I forget to put in on the coaster. Lol.
Thank you so much for your comment, and for watching! I'm so glad it made you feel like you're not alone - it is such hard work, and I've recently been on the verge of burnout again too, but feel like I'm finally out on the other side. So I hope you will get there too and can find some things that help you. Since I filmed this, one of the things that has helped me the most is to get some help from a Virtual Assistant. They deal with the admin things I just can't get my brain to do. I don't know where you're based, but in the UK if you have an ADHD diagnosis you can apply for help through Access To Work and they can cover the cost of it as well, so may be worth looking into if you have the option.
ADHD is a massive help in my online t-shirt business. I don’t know anyone else that can crank out designs and do all the things like I can. :) As for organization, I use Craft and Things 3 because they’re buttery smooth on iOS and Mac. I tried Trello but it just didn’t stick. As for phone distractions… try Forest. It’s awesome. And the Apple Watch is awesome. I absolutely love it.
Yeah it's definitely a superpower in that respect! Oo interesting, I've never heard of either of them so will check them out thank you. I have tried Forest but it didn't really work for me. It's all trial and error isn't it! Great to hear you love your Apple watch too, I think I will probably have to invest in one, I have heard nothing but good stuff!
I’m waiting for an assessment for autism. I haven’t been functioning well at work, which is why I have been follow you. I have a cutting machine, and I am hoping to start a business myself following your tips on Skillshare and on this channel too. I have an Apple Watch and I love it. I set alarms for all sorts of things and it does tell you to stand up when you’ve been sitting too long.
Oh I hope you don't have to wait too long for the assesment, it's a long process isn't it! Sounds like a good plan if you think that will work better for you then, I hope you get what you need from my videos and courses, but do just let me know if you have any other questions about anything :)
@@VinylDecalSchool I’ve booked a private test. Working as a mental health nurse in the NHS, I know how long the waiting lists are and I need to know for sure as soon as is possible. I have found some very supportive groups on Facebook if you’d like any links please let me know ☺️
Oh, I'll look forward to watching this as I'm pretty sure I have a bit of ADHD... I become easily distracted at times and I want to try to sell a new product line every 2 months it seems 🤦♀️. I am trying so hard to not get distracted. I need to wear blinkers like they put on horses 🤣. The 'creative mind' can be a blessing and a curse at times 🤣🤦♀️ x
Yeah I definitely think there are a lot of us in the creative community 😅 I also want to start something new every 2 months and haven’t managed to ignore it yet either 😬 so that’s not one of my tips unfortunately. Maybe in a future video though haha! Hope you enjoy 😊 x
@@VinylDecalSchool Aw, I did enjoy it. Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I tell my husband that I'm 'finding my way', fine tuning what I want to do. I see it as gaining a broader spectrum of skills 😍. Have you tried having a jug of water in your room, maybe something like a tempting / pretty coloured (pink) cordial drink? I find water boring to drink, even though I know it's so important for our bodies, but I will drink cups of tea and cordial quite happily throughout the day...but water - on it's own.......not so much 🤦♀️. I'd love a video about your ADHD in business coaching...sounds great x
@@Sooz3112 Ah I'm so glad! Oh I totally agree, and it makes you so unique because you can call upon all of that different experience. Ah that is a good idea, as you're right, water is so boring. I don't really like cordial, but I like adding fruit to my water so maybe I should try that and see if it sticks. I do drink tea too, but again, I just forget to get up and put the kettle on! 😬 Ok amazing - I have no idea when I'll be starting it, but I'll definitely do a video once I've had a few sessions! Thanks so much again for watching ☺
@@VinylDecalSchool Aw, fruit in water, blueberries, lime, berries....ooh, that would look so pretty! It's so hard to remember to drink when we're busy but you need to make it look tempting and you won't be able to resist 😀. I hope it helps. Thanks for the Trello...I remember you mentioning this in a previous video. I've signed up, for the free version as I'm a bit of a 'Post it' note Queen! I'm looking forward to giving it a try, thank you. I'll look forward to watching more videos, I've been a bit 'off grid' with RUclips recently. Have a lovely evening, stay safe x
Also... Water.. 99p tiktok bottle is working with me. Are you medicated yet? I'm still amazed now when my medication kicks in that people have this kind of energy naturally.
Oo ok, I usually just ignore all of those tiktok ad videos, but I'll have to check that out! So they said it would be another 3-4 months before I could start titration, how long did you wait? Ah amazing, that's good that it's helping then, I'm interested to see what effect it has on me!

This is the first actually helpful video on this topic , I watched one when someone mentioned pomodoro and I had to close the RUclips app.
Oh I’m so happy to hear that, thank you ☺️
Yeah, Pomodoro worked for me once… and then I never looked at it again!

I’m very interested. I’ve recently learned this about myself also.
Oh that's good, thanks for watching! And I hope the diagnosis has helped you in some way, I know it's made me understand myself so much better :)

Thanks so much for this info, you seem like a lovely woman with a cool business.
Ahh thank you so much, and thanks for watching!
I was talking to you a few month back on TikTok did you end up going via Psychiatry UK?
I did yes - the assessment wasn't supposed to be until September but they were able to bring it forward to March thankfully!
