What makes grand theft auto so great was the freedom of being immersed in a totally different world. In it’s own way, it felt real. From liberty city to los santos, the cities were so detailed that you actually felt that you were in it.
A part of this reason was past the gameplay and rather the sound of the world around you. Upon finishing a mission you may hop in your car and the radio will come on. Describing the weather, talk going around on the station regarding a crime you just committed, followed by Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang on Radio Los Santos.
What I’m getting to here is that Grand Theft Auto’s radio is extremely important, not only into making up the game, but sparking initial music taste from kids to young adults across the world.

We can all agree that GTA radio is better than actual radio. Change my mind.
My favorite radio station is Rise FM from both _GTA 3_ and _Liberty City Stories,_ and Vladivostok FM from _The Ballad of Gay Tony._
Yooo Mr friendship it’s been a while
My favourite stations are Blond FM and Radio Los Santos. Cruising through Grove Street while blasting It was a good day feels so nostalgic and Blond FM has some of my favourite tracks of all time like Miss White Cocaine or Ivy.
same here, also it's blonded
@@swagthug Oh, I thought it was the same as the album but thanks for telling me
OMG YES BRO, ITS HOW I FIGURED ABOUT FREDDIE GIBBS (radio los santos) AND APHEX TWIN MAN (blonded), and i love frank's so much so lol
As generic as it may be Radio Los Santos will always hold a place in my heart as my favorite station in GTA history
personally i love west coast classics because it reminds me of the songs i listened to with my dad when i was younger, but i also love liberty rock radio because gta4 was my 1st gta game and i would turn it on so i can listen to a song on my way to a mission
Radio los santos all the way baby, but that one country Chanel be bussin sometimes when it’s a long ass ride
Listening to Baker Street and crusing around with a beautiful orange sunset over the ocean in Los Santos feels so good on a lazy Sunday afternoon, I've captured so many of those photos of my player and NPC's, GTA will forever have place in my life
Non-Stop Pop had a HUGE impact on my music taste, when I saw this I had to click immediately

@@ConverseWithMe Holy crap no way! Okay thanks!
Dude used to hate rap but when I heard Kendrick’s songs swimming pools and adhd I loved them cuz of there lyrics and how I could relate to it
I love Radio Los Santos the most due to the nostalgic feeling it brings. Can't decide whether GTA 5 or SA is my favorite so the radio connection is a perfect to me.
bruh wait what I thought this would have like 1mil views the quality is dope keep it up.
I love Blonded Radio and Space Radio with freaking Bootsy Collins as the host.
I discovered so many songs from those 2 radios that I now listen on repeat regularly.
GTA 4 The Beat flashing lights. Great memories.
My favourite song from the GTA series is Eddie Murphy’s ‘Party All The Time’ on GTA V. As soon as I heard it while flicking through the radio stations, I was hooked. I check the artist to find out it was Eddie Murphy singing on the track. Such a great song amongst so many others.
Its interesting what you bring up with Intraculture. Because even your essay becomes a facet of intraculture. Its clear your video's target audience is younger then me because I had a completely different experience but relatable.
When I hop in to hear the radio of San Andreas, its complete nostalgia from my memories as a small child actually getting into the car in real life. Radio just sounded like that in my childhood.
So while San Andreas formed your intraculture, it was recreating mind. So it was like a second dose of it. This brings up an interesting point about how intraculture layers on to itself recursively.
My favorite is definitely Non Stop Pop Fm, there’s just too many classics on there like Lady (Hear Me Tonight), Everything She Wants, and so much more
10/10 video too btw, I didn’t know GTA had such a rich history with music!
My favorite radio station from GTA game series is blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM.
Here are some of my anecdotes surrounding the development of a liking for "blonded radio station"
Having a father whose music tastes are nearly exclusively fixated on soul music, I've had more than enough chances of getting myself familiarized with the soul music genre.
His favorite artist has always been Marvin Gaye.
As My father and I had had a turbulent relationship for rather a long time, it was nearly impossible for me when I was a teenager to have a sense of open-mindedness toward anything that had to do with my father.
Plus, the very essence of having a hardcore fan of any given topic ironically made me hate it so much.
As I started to develop my musical tastes, I had found myself consciously putting in efforts to steer clear of the soul music genre at all.
Now that I reflect upon it, it was such a stupid and unnecessary thing to do.
Without realizing what I'd been doing at that time, I'd refused to give any soul music a spin and listen to it properly.
And then GTA 5 came about.
I gave it a try in 2019, and It was my first experience playing GTA game series.
I was instantly immersed in it and basically couldn't stop playing it.
Through the medium of a video game, GTA allowed me to drop my guard down when it comes to different genres of music, especially soul music.
As I would often drive Buen Vino Road and listen to various songs I wouldn't listen to willingly, I could let go of my own limitations I'd put on myself without realizing it.
And it was "When Did You Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You" by Marvin Gaye that I enjoyed the most while driving casually for hours.
It even led to me sharing this story with my father. It sparked something.
I'd never talked about the things I liked with my father prior to that, and for the first time, It felt good that I had something in common with my father.
Miraculously, my relationship with my father has gotten better since then.
It was such an eye-opening experience for me, and I'm still grateful for the game in that it helped me broaden my horizon and have a better relationship with my dad.
Thanks for reading.
since fever 105 and flash fm is my favorites, its no surprise that nowadays i mainly listening to the weeknd : after hours, and dawn fm back and forth.
Bro yt gotta promote this video more it’s so good
Even though I love K-Rose and Los Santos Rock Radio, the best memory I have in GTA is cruising with Midnight City blasting in my ears
For me it's Radio Los Santos (first, ln xbox360) then during my teen years i felt in love with mirror park
Awesome video. Always loved the music in GTA V, even the country tracks.
Great job man. Hit the nail on the head with this one. Never realized how much GTA influenced my musical taste until now. Great stuff.

My favorites are blond FM and radio los santos. They have some of my favorite tracks ever like ADHD, nights and ivy
I can still remember playing Vice City Stories on my PSP. Turning on the radio and hearing some of the most obscene shit I had ever heard in my life. I was either bopping to music or laughing my ass off listening to the radio in that game. Good times :)
my fovorite station is soulwax fm from gta v, i just love that type of music
Non Stop Pop FM from GTA 5 is my favorite because of songs like:
Stardust- Music Sounds Better with You
Modjo-Lady(Hear Me Tonight)
M80-Midnight City
Facts. GTA San Andreas is the reason I got into Kool G Rap with Road to the Riches
I learned so much great music from Vice City and San Andreas.
I think you should also cover how guitar hero changed your taste of music cause I ain’t ever been the same since
Brillaint!
Keep killing it g, your time will be soon
Without a doubt Radio Mirror Park is the reason behind my music taste now. When I was younger I only liked maybe 5 songs on there, but I liked them to a point I would look up songs that were similar. Sleepwalking and heart in the pipes being examples. Now when I play gta I listen to the entire station.
Chinatown wars soundtrack is legendary
I WOKE UP IN A NEW BUGATTI
SKRRRRRRT
I grew up in CA it didn't change it much.
Musicians I never would have listened to if it wasn't for GTA:
Everyone on KULT FM, specifically Julian Casablancas (The Strokes and The Voidz)
Everyone on Rebel Radio
Everyone on FlyLo FM
Everyone on Radio Mirror Park
Im a big BIG gta fan, gta 4 has my favorite radio in the saga, san juan sounds just because of how varied it is, west coast classics and non stop pop come close tho, flash fm and radio ls from san andreas also get a good score in my book
Cool video! Blonded is something different
Gta v kinda got me into a punk a bit no lie, and SA will always have tons of music especially old school west coast hip hop, but more importantly it's the first time i ever heard a song off of faith no mores angel dust, which has become my favorite album recently
My favourite is none stop pop it has some bangers on there
I don't see any comments saying CSR 103:9 or Bounce FM that was my shit in GTA San Andreas also Espantoso & San Juan Sounds
Los Santos cause it's a classic, just my type of music

Crazy cuz when i used to play san andreas i always customized the files to make the radio play my playlist.
