The assasins are hilarious 😂 Her birthday celebration was warm. When the mom talked with her inside the shrine and gave her the bangle and when her sister's each gave her a thoughtful gift I cried a little too much. And that banner in the middle of all the chaos.💖 I feel more at ease knowing that Buping will take care of Peilan and feel wronged on her behalf. 💓

Even at the final family scene you can see her looking at the decorations and being moved, while at the background everyone has already forgotten about her and are again busy with their own things. Everyone can show up with gifts after they've been told that it's your birthday, the question is- are you important enough to them so they remember it's your birthday and make an effort to make this day as pleasant for you as possible? The mom was wrong too- even though she remembered the birthday, it was way more important to her to to put a facade for the guests than care about her daughter, in fact she shamelessly used her for her own needs.
