That painter is very good to capture Jackie Li's exact image. Jackie Li is a good actress. She can play her role gracefully. 🤩🤩🤩
They actually made the wife look like the painting! She’s cute in real life still cute here too I think. I love her exaggerated personality in this show too.

Within just 4:26 minutes, Queen Bailu already made me cry 🥺 She's such an amazing actress and it saddens me how some people still sleep on her talent 😭
After watching Till the end of the moon, I can’t watch other dramas, somewhat feel like bland. I searched for Bai Lu’s drama and this drama really hooked me. Song of youth is really a masterpiece, the storyline, the styling and the feeling it gives, sad and calm. haha I will definitely rewatch this whenever I am free. It’s disappointing that I can’t fully enjoyed all the scenes as I have to read subtitles. I need to consider to learn Chinese.
I highly Recommend watching these Period CDramas in this Order: "New Life Begins" (keeps being my Top Fav), where the 3rd Young Master here plays The 5th Young Master, son of the Emperor and his Character is pretty similar. The 6th Young Master is the ML and his Personality is 1 in a million! he also pursuits the Love of his partner (a rural and quite illiterate girl). In a way, his Personality and developement has some similarities with this one. His Partner does help him to heal his Health. She is the centre of the story. Various Life Lessons, Camaraderie, Gastronomy, Humorous Scenes (even the Eunuch is funny), Exquisite Music. Not much of Army Battles but Happy Ending. 2nd: "Gone with The Rain": The FL is the Centre of the Story, Humorous Scenes. A General cries due to her not liking him yet but Happy Ending. 3rd: "Love Like The Galaxy" (with ML Actor: 🤩Wu Lei/Leo Wu). In all these CDramas there are some Attractive Guys and all Endings are Happy. If you want to learn Mandarin there's a Channel more or less called: Mandarin Lab. Stay Safe (Apr. 29 2024, Argentina)

@@yemozhou9789 no I don't find any Asian drama's alien whether it's Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Malay etc. As for understanding modern Chinese society and culture these drama's help as you say westerner's or my understanding of Chinese culture and especially when they're true story drama's. I also try to learn and understand by relating what I'm watching with my own culture. Because there are some aspects within the Chinese culture that is in mine and there's some that we've lost. I have just finished watching the entire series. Oh my. What a feast. The story is sweet and the photography beautiful and very atmospheric. Don't get me started on the glorious costumes. The acting was superb throughout and the whole thing was a delight. The last, perhaps, ten episodes are a little scrappy. It feels rather as though the writer decided, "Ooh, I have all these cool back stories for the secondary characters, lets throw them in here at the end." Having said that, I accepted them for what they were and found them interesting. The final settlement of the father's story was a wee bit too contrived for my taste, but it worked. As for the main couple...I confess I shed a happy tear or two in the final scene. I can thoroughly recommend watching this series.

I'm really enjoying Wang Yi Zhe so far, totally different character than what he played in Royal Feast. He seems so innocent, personable and cute in this series (so far) and it's making me look at him in a whole different way. Also enjoying Jackie Li for the comedic moments. I just barely saw half of the 1st episodes and I can say that Bailu is selective on her project aside from a true acting talent. If she continue to pick good projects with high budget like this and she will continue to diversity as an actress,it will not be long before she gets the Best Actress Award. She is someone to watch for as she can takes on different roles and play it convincingly.

Done watching! This drama is one of the best I've seen. No intense nor breathtaking scene but this never bored me a bit. I did not skip any part. The smartest female lead is here and the only drama that the main leads did not give me stress and heartaches while watching. I like all the couple stories and fell in love with the first young master the most. He is too handsome that I hated tao yao so much😅 Yu Lou is also handsome but he looks very young here like baby face😊 I wish for a season 2.

@@liberal8083 不是那個才流行明代劇，明代劇一直都在拍，而且漢服的流行很早就開始，只不過以前明代劇除了少數主要類型服飾略微考究，其他類型服飾全部影樓裝和戲曲裝，畢竟中國政府新中國以來完全不在意漢族的服飾系統復原，工作和資金全部投入其他少民的服飾復原和傳承，因為中國現今少民穿著的全套服飾就是49年之後形成和完善，我的意思是女醫明妃傳服飾考究確實很不錯，但是不能和玉樓春平起平坐，兩者的服飾考究依然差的很遠，玉春樓幾乎是完全還原.
