    It's so cool that even Lord and Miller initially said the Spot was too silly to be the main villain. But then they thought about it and realized that it was the point of the character to not be taken seriously at first and then be a gradual threat. And it was executed brilliantly. He's one of my favorite villains of the year.

    17:16 Miles not turning invisible, was part of his plan. He was trying to lure people away from the clubhouse so it’d be easier to sneak in and be able to go home. He knew if all the Spider-Man were to leave at the same time it was causing major jam. It’s hard to hunt one individual when there’s over 5000 Spider-Man in your way. PS I love cinema-sins.

    Well one COULD argue that if Miles hadn't become Spiderman, the Spot situation might not have happened- or, at the very least, he wouldn't have been part of it. So then Spot wouldn't want revenge and go after Miles' dad. I'd like to point out that technically, Mayday is a result of Miles getting bit as well, asbecause he helped help Peter B Parker get his head on straight, he hooked back up with Mary Jane and had Mayday when he got back to his own universe, something that did look like was going to happen anytime soon based upon what we saw of Peter B's life. This means she might be a few months or even years off when she should have been born in 'canon,' therefore it could be argued that she isn't a 'canon event' and is a disruption to the timeline because of the butterfly effect.

    • @roguishpaladin
      @roguishpaladin 11 месяцев назад +4

      But Peter having kids with Mary Jane is, sadly, not a canon event. The main comic continuity saw them split up (and that, fwiw, is why I never want to see Mephisto in the MCU - even if No Way Home kinda did the same plot already but in a less traumatic, more sensible way). And there's now at least one timeline beyond this movie where Peter and MJ do work out. So there's no strict canon for that relationship beyond the fact that they tend to meet.

    • @DoctorPhileasFragg
      @DoctorPhileasFragg 9 месяцев назад

      In this film, a canon event is caused by Spot and several spider-people's interference in a foreign dimension. It's as if the timing of a canon event isn't fixed, only the fact that it will happen at all.

    Didn’t Miguel find the technology to dimension-jump AFTER the events of the first movie? He had to set up the strike force IN RESPONSE to the Kingpin event? That’d explain Peter B having an established relationship with Miguel if Peter B is a consultant for this. Not to mention the rest of the gang. He could’ve excluded Gwen because he knew she’d be raring to get back to Miles if she knew she could go to his dimension.
    About them sending Gwen to 1610: my headcanon/theory is that it was a test or form of agreement that Jess made with Miguel. That basically if Gwen proved herself to be capable (which she must have and she is) then she can be shortlisted or considered eligible for a mission to 1610, should one pop up, especially since she has experience there. It would have been on the condition she doesn’t see him and that she can only go there for missions only (remember she’s stayed over at Hobies at least once) - but she saw Miles anyway. Why she came in her civilian clothes, I don’t know, probably under “fitting in” while she stakes out Spot without making a ruckus about another spider person being seen in Brooklyn. I can imagine Jess fighting with Miguel on it for ages and negotiating with him until he gives in and let’s her have ONE chance.

And, Peter B was there during the destruction of the dimension of Miguel's daughter which isn't as important but still says something.
    Also kudos to Miguel for being able to group hundreds of spider people and start all that Miguel Mouse's Clubhouse stuff in a year, likely less if what I'm saying is actually true

    16:33 if miles wasn’t bit, his dad would become captain but wouldn’t die. The reason his dad is dying is because that’s a canon event for spider people to lose the police captain, and because it’s revenge for the spot, if miles wasn’t Spider-Man then his dad wouldn’t have to die when he becomes captain

    9:37 "The whole point of multiverses is that every possible thing that could happen does happen somewhere!"
    There are an infinite number of numbers between 1 and 2, but 3 is not one of them. Maybe Spider-Man and Spider-Gwen getting along is a 3. Maybe it's simply not possible.

    Sony should let PHIL LORD and CHRIS MILLER in charge of their cinematic universe
    They can save it from AVI ARAD

    For all the sins for the spider society didn’t stop miles from getting bit, Miguel didn’t even have his own watch until after all the events in the first film happen, let alone there be a spider society to stop miles from being bit.

    in the original two lego movies, the legos are actually just toys in a human child's bedroom. Therefore the lego universe WOULD be lego sized.

    16:28 You just contradicted your own twist with another twist! If Miles Morales is a non-canon Spider-Man variant, then why should his father dying even matter? If he's non-canon, then nothing that happens to him or his family should effect the Canon!
