Patience is key guys. This is for those who have been applying for a while and who might be disappointed with their progress: Comparing my progress at 6 months vs some of the examples in this video who were at 6 months or less, I thought my gains were not particularly good. But now after consistent application for almost 2 years, my beard is better than most of these. My advice is don't go into the journey with an expectation for how long you plan to use minoxidil. Keep applying until you're happy with what you have. It may take longer than you initially hoped, but being a slower responder to minox doesn't mean that you won't achieve the beard you want.

2 years to see results is kind of long. You could have naturally just grown more hair. If I compare my beard hair two years ago to now i would see a significant difference and i have never used minoxidil
@@Alkatraz581 idt it takes 2 years to see results based on other ppl. i think it only takes weeks to like 6 months but they keep applying to make sure their results stay permanent when they stop using minoxidil.
@@bigshoots1181 Only side effects I got are dry skin (can be counteracted with moisturizer) and hair growth in other areas of my body. Really just the areas of my body where I already had hair, like my arms and legs, thickened up more. Chest and belly are still smooth (a few sporadic hairs here and there), so I didn't turn into sasquatch or anything.

I was gonna use it but luckily I had just enough coverage to pull off a full beard when it got longer. My homie however had some crazy patches in his beard & was able to fill it all in with 8 months of minoxidil usage.

I hope I can be featured in one of these videos soon man :) but I still feel I have too much vellus hair atm and right now the shedding is at an all time high. Nearly 7 momths in but compared to what I had it's incredible, I sometimes forget how much my beard has improved.

So I just started my journey only at a week it's gonna be a long road and I can be bad with routines but I want this. I'm 22 and I have almost no hair at all. I'm honestly still a little embarrassed about this but I'm confident with all the results I'm seeing on this channel and the content of your channel is great. There is no "better" brand. Any 5% minox will do the job as long as ot doesn't explicitly state that it has DHT blockers in

I’m thinking about trying it. For some reason I can only get hair growth on my upper lip and chin. Hair doesn’t connect from mustache to chin, also hair doesn’t grow at all on my cheeks or jaw line and I’m 38

Glad you took it in the way I intended and I wish your cousin well in his endeavours. I've got my minox, ready to start. I've ordered a little spray bottle to transfer some solution to, I'm going to see if I find that or the pipette easier.. I don't even want a beard really, I just want to even things up if I can so it looks less like Jack Sparrow with randomly placed clumps of pubes.

So I have good coverage on my chin and mustache however the cheeks and my connectors are patchy as hell. However if I look close at my face I have vellus hairs all over in the gaps in my terminal hair. Do you think minox would help turn those things terminal?

If I use minoxidil foam, how long does it take for it to be completely absorbed? Would this amount of time be the same amount of time I would have to wait before dermarolling?
+Firas Akbik you would still have to wait 4 hours after applying minoxidil before doing anything either dermarolling or moisturisers. Dry doesn't necessarily mean absorbed

I just started my journey today. 23 yo, I have facial hair, some of it gets pretty long... but it's horrid looking, very thin and very very patchy.

My mustache and chin hair that I already had has gotten much much thicker, darker, more dense and longer.
Also I never really had any growth on my neck or cheeks and now 3 months in I have quite a lot of hair in those places, still patchy, not fully filled in but it's definitely getting there. It looks like by the 6 month + mark I might have a beard closer resembling what I want.

This is great but for someone like me that has a decent beard but want a thicker beard more full, what are you recommendation for the jojoba and peppermint oil mix for hair growth with using a drug like minoxidil? Did peppermint work for you, any side effects?
+hassan Waleed hey man. Personally i saw no discernible change using the peo. Minox can help thicken up beards. Not everyone in the video started with nothing. Some of them had beards but wanted to thicken it.
If i were you tho i would try peppermint and jojoba oil for a few months and see if it works for you. I was using minox at the same time so hard for me to know for sure. Maybe that will suit your needs better

+Jacob Gene your 15. You will still be going through puberty. DO NOT USE. This stuff in my opinion is a last resort. Wait until you are in your 20s if you dont have a beard by then perhaps consider it but at 15 its pretty normal to have hardly any facial hair.

Sir, DO NOT USE Minoxidil 5% for beard grow. Because once you stop using it , all the hair that grow will fail and it will cause more hair failure. Minoxidil is never hair grow solution as you see, people pays thousands of dollars to do hair transplant but they don't use Minoxidil because it's not a solution.

Saw a video earlier about taking collagen pills to replenish the collagen that's depleted from minoxidil. You think this has any merit?
+Tank yeah i have heard about that. No. For a start its not even proven minoxidil inhibits collagen in humans. The only place i have seen it is test tube studies. Even so. Collagen is a protien. It will probably be destroyed by stomach acid and even if it is absorbed wont necessarily reach the beard. Dermarolling imho is a far better option

I stopped using minoxidil 4 years ago because I read it will fall the time I stop using. Then, I did a hair transplant. It ruined my face with lots of holes. I can't make it grow because it doesn't fill the space and looks like little black spots. I end up shaving once and sometimes twice a day. It grow really fast. Now after seeing tens of videos of people recording their progress I started using it and I'm on my 8th week. There is a progress but little. I can only see new hair in the areas that didn't had the transplanted hair.
My question is, Do the holes in my face prevent new hair from growing? I mean like when someone is wounded in a hairy part of his body. Hair will not grow back in that area? Is that my case?
