I actually really need a new phone case, and I like those patterns a lot better than the boring Otterbox ones. But my phone is too old to have cases on that website. :-(

May I ask what your job is? :) I always thought you did YT full time because you post a lot of videos and reading as a book tuber seems so time intense.
I love your shelves! All flaws will disappear when you have books in place 😊 & it looks great already.
That’s what I think haha in the moment it’s easy to see all the problems. Enough books will hide everything 😂
For a reading challenge, what if you read a translated work from a different country (or from a country you’ve never read from) every month? It would be a nice exposure to other cultures I think!
I'm one of the people who think of you as sort of a parasocial friend, which is super rare for me (and it's still weird any way you put it to use the word friend. But. You know). I just think you really stand out in a good way and your personality comes across as super genuine. And I love that you are an open and happy childfree person, since I am too (with two amazing cats).
I really hope you'll have a very successful surgery and keep on living your best life! And hopefully you'll find out that you're still able to enjoy some types of nuts, too! 💕

Your library looks so good! It motivated me to rearrange my bookshelves but I’ll probably end up changing them around more. Especially when I finally get to buy a reading chair 🤞
During the pandemic I didn’t want to go to any hairdressers so I bought hairdresser scissors and actually cut them myself 3 or 4 times. There are some great tutorials out there if you just want to cut off a bit and don’t need a fancy haircut. What I did was to lean over my bathtub, gather the hair together in front of me and then just cut. No one even noticed I cut it so I definitely didn’t do a bad job. 😂
I hope getting the surgery will bring you relief and that it goes as you wish. 🙏🏼

You can grow into and out of an allergy. My son would eat peanut butter out of the jar in high school, he later developed a peanut allergy. He’s now able to eat it again. They say you renew your body (basically, dealing with brain fog myself) every 7 years. And they make veggie cheese. My youngest had a dairy intolerance as a toddler and we got him the veggie cheese.

In regards to allergies, I had covid and then a week or so later was having horrible stomach pains, brain fog, couldn’t keep food down. Turns out I’m coeliac but I had no symptoms until I had covid 🙃 I also now have thyroid disease. Both new things after I was sick. Very depressing and mine won’t ever go away 😢
Maybe you can use silicones for the back of the bookshelves in the middle. Also the room looks gorgeous to me even with all the flaws you mention 😍 I can't wait for bookshelf organization video 😊

- finish a serie per month
- read a book out of your comfort zone a month
- letting your subscribers decide a book (you could select a few or draw a few from the cookie jar)
- read the last book you bought the month before

Can definitely relate to your description of “chaos” because it’s me and my partner right now too. Somehow renovations/work always takes longer than you think. 😢 But it’s looking fabulous!!!

Cool video. When I started counting and sorting my books, I thought it would take a day or two... I've been on it for a month! Hope your health gets better. And during a time in my life, I've been allergic to nuts. It started suddenly and stopped as suddently. Allergies are weird!

I have had the same throat closing issues with food intolerances! I found out that I cannot have egg and soy :( I have not heard other people discuss this feeling I have as well. It does sound ridiculous to other people who do not experience this. I had anxiety for years, did the elimination diet, and found out that my anxiety/ sleep issues were linked to this feeling.

I think long-term the groove in the book shelves for the backing won’t be a big deal BUT if it really bothers you, you could try wood filler. It would have to dry and would take a while to do (and sand smooth after). I think your library looks great!
You should be able to fill those cracks for the backings with caulk too.

And I really hope you'll get your health issues resolved soon 😕 I remember a few years ago that I slowly started to get breathing issues and it freaked me out. Tested so many things, in the end we discovered that I was suddenly allergic to pretty much all animal fur. I had a cat and a dog for years at that point, so I would always have those issues at home, which was super annoying but at least you can deal with it/ treat it if you know what it is
Oh no! Another reason to get well fast so I don't find out I'm allergic to pets XD
The shelves and the room overall look great! I've also been renovating my entire house over the last year or so and the process definitely gets easier the more you do it (I'm also in a very old, crooked house so I feel you lol).
I think it's such a cool skill to have, and even if things aren't totally perfect, it's so much more gratifying to have done it yourself. Besides, I really don't think anyone notices those little imperfections besides ourselves, and things can always be touched up later on. We're our own worst critic lol. Way to go with the library room!
I hope I'll get better but it does feel very gratifying! Can't wait for it to start feeling like a home!
The crown molding looks great!
There are a lot of great tutorials on youtube on how to cut your own hair- I started doing that in 2020 & I still do it now, it comes out just as good as a hair dresser lol (also am tempted to get bangs again, but agree that they are too high maintenance).
Also, when you redo the kitchen, there are a lot of good tutorials on youtube for how to sand/paint cabinets. I redid mine by myself last year & it was a lot of work but they turned out great!
I'm really worried about painting cabinets! I love the look but I've seen some really bad results lol
I think the good reads nominations for thriller / mystery look pretty good..I want to make my way through them.

About your throat/allergies issues, maybe your sleep apnea is related to this? I suddenly developed allergies as well and right about then, I struggled with sleep apnea too. I know it's because of my allergies, so I thought it might be similar for you too! If it is so,I hope your sleep apnea won't trouble you anymore.
I’d love to know per year ; like the year it was bought or received and percentage read vs un read for each year. It would be interesting to see what you actually read vs what you acquired each year ! ❤

I'm looking forward to seeing what your series goal winds up being! I know I want a series goal next year too, but really struggling with what, because I have in the past totally failed when I pick out specific series to try to read in a year. Maybe going for a # of series finishes, that's the best I've got so far.

The library looks great! I think when you do a DIY project it is so easy to only see the flaws, but they dont stand out to me at all and I think it looks awesome! Cant wait to see it with the shelves full of books!
Also, as a nurse, you saying you’re going to test out more types of nuts to see if youre allergic makes me very nervous! Id say to just assume youre allergic to all tree nuts (all nuts other than peanuts) until you can get formal allergy testing or discuss with your doctor and it sounds to me like you should definitely have an epi pen! Stay safe!
Oh also, I had a friend who developed a tree nut allergy later in life like in her mid 20s. Not sure if it was related to birth control, but ive never heard of that happening! So interesting and crazy! Im hoping for you, things go back to normal after surgery! 🤞🏼

I’ve developed an inflammation problem with gluten over the past few years so I know how much it sucks to have to go without… but dairy is in everything! I do feel like I’ve gotten to know you over the years and it’s been great to follow you over the course of your book tube journey. I hope snow globe Emily is ok!! ❤

The pill is so weird, I had to stop taking it becuase it was causing me to lose pigment in the skin of my face, pretty much drug induced vitiligo, and it just kept getting worse and spreading, tons of doctor and dermetologist visits with no help, I finally just stopped taking the pill and it cleared up within a few months, now all I have left is 2 white dots under my eyes that refuse to go away XD
As someone with MCAS, I must admit that I absolutely CACKLED with laughter when you showed how much of the macadamia nuts you'd eaten 💜
Idk if it makes it better or worse but I was only having like 5-8 a day so it was weeks of me poisoning myself XD
