Hi Melissa ! I don't have a Cameo and just wanted to get one for making cookie stencils - do you think the Cameo 3 is worth getting (I've read about a lot of issues with this new model) or do you think I should just stick to the original or Cameo 2? I have a Mac if that makes any difference. Thanks!
I sat and looked at my cameo 3 for 6 days, no idea how to use it, looked at so many youtube videos and they didn't tell me much on how to begin! I received a purple card with a free beginner class which came with my bundle (worth $20) even if I had to pay I would of! explained everything, awesome :)
You make $$$ by subscribers, views, shares, ads. Not by driving viewers away with a $20 charge to view your tutorial.

Melissa - I got the video from swing designs, great work. Did everything specified but, do you have any idea why I have to tell it to use the auto blade every time? Even if I don't change the design / material it will revert to the ratchet blade - and there is no ratchet blade. It also does not read the print then cut registration marks correctly most of the time. I've had cameos before this one so, I'm pretty up to par with most stuff but this is driving me nuts! Thanks in advance...
There are many for free. Before I pay $20 I think I will just build on my knowledge of the silhouette products
Hi, and thank you for the video. I am having one heck of a time with the cameo 3 print and cut. My cameo 2 worked like a charm. First, I can't even find the calibration "button" even though I went to their site to look for help. It says to right click in the send window (upper right where the Silhouette machine icon is), but nothing happens. I've right clicked all over the place! My machine is off about 1/4 inch from where it is suppose to be and I'm to the point of tears because I can't get any help. I've written them, and feel like I've followed all the proper steps to getting help and have hit a wall. Out of frustration I adjusted the margin on my printer (which I did not have to do with Cameo 2) but it didn't do anything. Please can you help me?

I got the video with the bundle pack I purchased. I thank you for a lot of the good advice and helpful hints period however you do need to update the video so that it goes along with the new silhouette 4.0 program. It took me a very long time just to find how to cut my first project. Now I'm having a problem calibrating my paper so I can print and cut. Can you help me with this. when I go to calibrate the program does not give me the page to print with the crosses on it. Is it me or is it silhouette 4.0?

Watched a video. Did everything they said. Blade cut up my mat. Mats are not cheap. Just want someone to teach me how to do simple cutting of vinyl without cutting up my mat. Don't want to have to pay for a lesson after paying so much for the machine. Also, not happy there were no simple written instructions with the machine on how to cut without cutting up the mat.
is this out yet or so i have to wait til it comes out this month??

I am not finding the video your talking about
I have given up trying to get the bluetooth to work. So annoying because i upgraded so i could use the bluetooth. I should have saved my $350. Other than that i love using the cameo.
I cannot find this 45 minute video.
I would love to heart some reasons why one should get this machine if they already have the Cameo, other then auto blade and bluetooth which I have survived not having so far. If there are some good reasons I would love to hear what they are please. I have been hoping for years that they would come out with a Cameo that could cut thicker materials for instance. I have no wish to buy a separate machine(The Curio) to do this.
The biggest differences are the dual carriage, the auto blade, and the
blue tooth. There are some other minor changes including easier to move
rollers and an improved touchscreen. I see this machine more for new
users or those who want to upgrade from a Portrait to a CAMEO or an
older SD or CAMEO 1 to a new machine. I don't think it's a big enough
difference to from a CAMEO 2 to a 3 or even a 1 to a 3 if the machine is

I am in shock that a review video for a new product is on sale. And it is as much as your lovely books. Really disappointing. Still love your videos Melissa, good luck.
This isn't a review video by any means. This is a 45 minute course that is very in depth on everything from getting the machine out of the box to using the new machine through the completion of the first project. There are many users who prefer video courses over written books or tutorials so we are trying to offer products for all types of Silhouette learners.
I just want to see it cut chipboard, and not the light weight Silhouette brand. Then I will buy one! I already own a SC and a portrait.
I agree. I am wondering why get this new machine at all. I have survived just fine without auto blade and bluetooth. Is there any real reason to buy this machine? If there is I wish someone would give us some reasons as so far I haven't heard anything to compel me to dish out for the new machine when I have a perfectly good Cameo the first version.

Thanks so much. Good to know. I have the Cameo 1, but it works so well that I think I will be passing on this one too. I am waiting for a major improvement before I upgrade.
