  • Are multivitamins really necessary for a healthy life, or are they just a trend? In this eye-opening documentary, filmmaker and health enthusiast Bryce Sage dives deep into the world of vitamins to uncover the truth. With expert insights, surprising facts, and a journey through history and science, we explore how essential vitamins are, how they work, and whether you truly need supplements to stay healthy.
From ancient evolutionary traits to modern dietary habits, discover why humans and our primate relatives can't synthesize Vitamin C and why our diets today might be lacking in essential nutrients. Join Bryce as he meets leading experts, visits an organic farm, and even goes behind the scenes at a vitamin manufacturing lab to get answers to your burning questions about vitamins.
Highlights of the documentary include the role of vitamins in preventing diseases and maintaining health, why most animals can make their own vitamins but humans cannot, the impact of cooking on vitamin levels in food, and historical efforts to fortify foods and combat nutrient deficiencies. The documentary also features expert opinions on the necessity and safety of vitamin supplements.

There is nothing better than a healthy balanced diet for our body but the need of supplements can't be overlooked taking into consideration the prevailing lifestyle issue, food cultivation processing and storage methods, environmental influences which alter the bioavailability of nutrients. Even the digestion, absorption and assimilation can't be standardized. So the importance of supplements can't be ignored until we reach a stage where we have perfect earth and body conditions to offer optimum health to all and that seems to be far from reality. Until then, don't ignore supplements.

The question at 8:00 was not answered, and the documentarian shocked me because he did not challenge an obvious dodge. Therefore, I am stopping watching this video and likely will not finish it. The background music is not the only thing to suggest that this film is more situation-comedy than serious scientific assessment.

Nutrition has always been dependent on the soils foods are grown in.
    Not all soils are equal.
For example, Australia is a very old continent with very mineral depleted soils.
Where i live the natural soil is low in selenium and phosphorus just to start with. No amount of composting will fix all of this.
The nutrients need to be added before planting in order for the vegetation to be properly nutritious.

So many professional still does not really answer the question.
what you need to do is, get a blood test, see what you are lacking and consult a doctor about it.
if you are lacking of certain vitamin then take more from natural resources.
if daily activity restrict you from getting, then take a pill that supplement it.
there's certain vitamin that you need to be mindful of like A and E, especially if you are pregnant then you should see a doctor really.
for Vitamin D you need to take Vitamin K as well.
and most important exercise and avoid junk food.
If you seldom exercise you can supplement it with drinking wine moderately.
Mindful of your BMI and if you are older it is better to be SLIGHTLY overweight.
