While I fully understand that 252 is the most efficient base set up, I think the reason why a lot people prefer 243 including myself is because it's just so soulless to not have all your buildings maxed out.
243 I would say is still the best. Much higher level docs with over 20 good factory operators to spare might like it better, but otherwise, it's not very sustainable even for a LV. 80 like me.
@risa9932 If you've got really good 3-operator work squads, switching to 252 and being forced to use 2-op work teams can be a hit to production. Also, take the average over several days, since collection times can affect the numbers for one day.
Hello PeterYR, and welcome back to the comment section. I really appreciate your base design videos, and when I started play Arknights again, built a 2-5-2 ASAP, having had a good experience running a max right side 252 on my first account after finally understanding its benefits thanks to your videos. I've even lucked out and gotten Fiametta and Proviso on this new account, so I can essentially have my left side maxed. Unfortunately I started again after Dossoles re-run, so I'll have to wait for Record Restoration for Tequila scamming.
since i started, i’ve made a 2-4-3 base without really thinking, and i cant really be bothered to change it (i would rather have everything be level 3 and not have to think than maximize production)
I played for more than a week now and use the 252 setup from your years old video. After watching this i reconsidering to switch to 342 for orundum farming, i need that extra 3 pulls per week. But anyway I'm looking forward for the in-depth video!
Still running a 2-4-3 very stubbornly, I'm willing to change it but it feels like a lot to do. Would love to see a vid on converting from 2-4-3 to 2-5-2 with some suggestions for operator placements and such.
The conversion itself is quite simple; downgrade dorms and some factories, and change a power plant into a factory. The only tricky part is getting used to new rotations. I'm planning to make a more in-depth guide on rotation strategies eventually, but one of my older 80-second videos has the basics.
Really hope you'll make that video about orundum farming soon. While it was taken as gospel to never do it when the game first launched, 3 years in and I have excesses of every resource since I don't care to raise every operator to the maximum
I run 3-3-3 and switch one factory to exp when I have a few hundreds gold bars stockpiled. They usually last for a while. The (likely copium) advantages are : - better repartition of operators (I assume 252 sometimes runs out of good factory operators) - some base skills synergize with trading posts and power plants (the purestream/weedy/greyyalt gang, mainly, swire/amiya too, I guess) - every room maxed out, ueheheh I would be curious to see the report numbers for 252, mine are currently 16k exp, 54k worth of gold bar, and 64500 LMD (although they probably vary a bit).
I remember at one point 243 could theoretically match/beat max-right 252 with certain complex base setups (Dusk and Rosmontis combos I think?) Is that still true? Or are all the recent CN base skills boring? Also it's absolutely crazy you can literally lay out all the math and reasoning why 243 isn't as good as 252 and people still fighting in the comments. Why are people so desperate to believe in 243
After Passenger's release, there was a time when a full Automation combo could let a 243 beat a max-right 252, though it would require constant micromanagement (6-hour rotations). But that's no longer true, with newer base skills like Fiammetta, Mlynar, and (especially) Proviso favoring 252. As for the comment wars... yeah, this is pretty common. As much as people claim they "don't care", they also don't like being told that their base is inefficient. Cue the 243 copium.
@@PeterYRi used to worship 243 But after trying new acc with 33332 variant, everything changed. That all micro management on 243 for more exp card in 2 factory almost got beaten by only placing 1 operator for 3 exp card factory.
I went two weeks with 252 and while I did gain more lmd/exp it was a pain in the ass to swap operators. I don’t know what I was doing wrong but it was far more of a hassle than 243. I’ll stick with what I’m comfortable with.
I do 153, having 4 factories produce gold and 1 factory for exp. Once I have over 1000 gold ingots, I convert to a 333 and have all factories produce exp. When I run low on gold I convert back to 153 and repeat. Essentially it’s me stocking up on ingots until I need a lot of LMD, then I stop gold production and just dump all of it into trading posts for massive stonks. All the while still producing enough exp to not have to farm exp stages.
@@Empurress791 99% of the time it’s just for speeding things up in the Trading Post. Otherwise the drones are used to speed up Tier 3 chips in the factories for a quick E2, transitioning from a 153 to a 333, or transitioning from a 333 to a 153. But transitioning one factory/trading post takes nearly all the drones in one go, so I have to wait until the drones fill up again before transitioning another factory/trading post.
So I huff copium and have a 243 set up and my numbers for the last three days are 4800 lmd with 3400 exp, 5700 lmd with 3200 exp, and 5100 lmd with 3200 exp. I use drones on the tp unless I need a couple extra gold bars. It appears what ever I’m doing with my ops I have better output of lmd even against the 252 set up.
333 : 243 :: 342 : 252 All your arguments for occasionally switching back and forth between 252 and 342 also apply to switching between 243 and 333. The only difference is that a level 3 facility costs 190 drones instead of only 70 for a level 2. But with good drone production, that's really not all that much.
Viviana/Pudding + Justice Knight/Wild Mane and any other two robots, Ifrit, indigo, Blaze or Glaucus basically invalidate any issue with drone production. In fact, Viviana in Control room with Purfier, Purgatory, Keen-Glint, and any other Alter provides a near infinite drone production which should produce 200 Drones every 5 hours and 44 minutes, Infinitely.
@@Nazuiko WDYM? Viviana doesn't have anything to do with drone production. Neither does Pudding. Control Center ops overall don't affect drone recharge. Basically, you seem to be saying that using power plant operators increases drone production. The best power plant operators are Goldenglow (e2), Liskarm (e2), Lava the Purgatory (e2), Greyy, Greyy the Lightningbearer (if the base is fully cleaned), and Spuria (e2, after 5 hours). Drones recharge at a base rate of 1 per 6 minutes, same as sanity. Putting someone to work in a power plant provides a basic +5% recharge rate. And then applicable skills stack on top of that. The maximum rate with 2 power plants (base layouts: 252, 342) is thus 1 drone per 4 minutes, or 200 drones in 13 hours 20 minutes. The maximum with 3 power plants (base layouts: 243, 333, 153) is 1 drone per 3 minutes 25 and 3/7 seconds, or 200 drones in 11 hours 25 minutes 43-ish seconds. I don't know how you're getting 200 drones recharged in 5 hours 44 minutes. That'd be 1 drone every 1 minute 43.2 seconds, or about +248% recharge rate, instead of the max of +50% (2PP) or +75% (3PP).
I tried to use 252 setup, but returned to 243 because of higher capacity limit for items, and since i dont have a consistent login time(random basically) and have two accounts to manage, 243 works better for me, and login until 13-15 hours later without worrying about the production stopping due to max capacity, which the 252 cant do, needing to login every 12 hours, plus i really like getting 200 credits per day to spend
I maxed my right side when I started, but now run a 252 14, all my dorms are level 1, but I have 4 and that's plenty, I have 5/8 on gold production and the other 6/9 on XP, with Provisio hacks to get maximum trades, in current build you don't need to keep an op in to get trade mods, only START with them. So one trading post is level 2 with Proviso Shamare/Vigil/Cat etc. to run consistent 4/5 trades, and then I spoof the 1 slot base with drones/Proviso so the next trade will be 4, because it's level 1 it will always be the fastest cycle 48 drone 2.5 hour trade, making it a good way to turn drones/gold into LMB. I can't say how well it stacks vs. hardcore efficiency like Tequilas actual bonus LMB, but it's convenient, consistent, and gives me a good split of LMB EXP.
I use max right 2-5-2 and just by using Chong Yue-Ling-Dusk-Amiya-Kaltsit on Control Center, Mulberry Office, Mr. Nothing on TP plus full dorm, Nian elsewhere beside dorm, it give you : 82% TP efficiency (broken if Mr. Nothing pair with Proviso on lvl 2 TP) -0.50 morale per hour on Lvl 2 facility (mean full 48 hours shift before morale run out, though Op on CC gonna drain morale faster, so nope) Optional : Jie Yun is decent with 30% production on factory, maybe the reason is HG gonna introduce more Wordly Plight OP in future so maybe Jieyun will be more relevant. That's from me. Thanks as always for PeterYR to always make base guide video
The main reason I havent switched to 252 from 243 is because of time. Had I known about 252 when I first started then I would've been okay with it since back during Covid I didn't have much to do and logged in multiple times a day. But now that I have college I dont have time to log in. I usually log in 3 times a day at roughly 6 hour intervals, once before college, once after collage and once before going to sleep. This 6 hour intervals actually matches both my irl schedule and my in game oparator moral. Since by changing shifts every 6 hours ensures i get the maximum out put from everyone. Plus since i have an extremely well built roster for the base so i get arround 50-60k a day through the tequila+shamare+bibeak and proviso+sora+heidi combos running side by side 24 hours a day. And since i already have a well built roster that can complete 95% of all in game content, I dont really have much use for LMD or EXP. I have so much mats that i can always E2 an op on a whim. So for me, upgrading to a 252 seems unnecessary
I like how you say you don't have time for a 252 but then say you keep a login schedule that's way harsher than any 252 schedule, haha. 252 is 12hr shifts, so it requires less time than 243.
You must not have done a lot of research on 252 if you think logging in is an issue. You log in 3 times to check your base meanwhile 252 uses 12hr shifts so that's just twice a day lol
I've been playing for almost 3 years and have been using 333 ever since. I just wanted it to be symmetrical, which it wasn't anyway since my base wasn't T F P T F P T F P but instead T F P F P P T F T (not very symmetrical) but at least I had 3 of each. After watching your video I switched over to 243, which was when I realized I couldn't downgrade the right side, so I had to destroy almost the whole left side to switch the position of one P and build 2T and 4F, and now it looks like this: T F P F F P T F P Not only does it look better but it's also more efficient now, so thank you!
Hello, i want to ask some questions. Do you recommend to upgrade Proviso to E2 for the base as a casual player? How long does she takes to pasy herself? For now i'm doing 252 setup, my Proviso is always paired up with Exu and sometimes with Gummy in lvl 2 TP, do you think that's worth it? BTW i have Mlynar's team (Amiya, Kal'tsit, Mlynar and other two smiley face)
my god im so stupid, i didnt know you can have multiple trading post. imma change all factory to trading post. i have thousands of exp but broke on lmd
@@PeterYR Thanks. Does shamare E2 tequila e0 bibeak e0 works well for a tp or should i use other tp and im going to e2 proviso then should i go for lv 2 tp and 2 lvl 3 fac
ill just spend real money, to buy sanity, since i pretty much login all day, and i dont have the patience to farm resources through base. too long of a wait
In terms of which setup is best, not really. 2-power-plant setups have always been the best; we just didn't realize for some time. Some newer operators like Mlynar and Proviso only widen this gap between 252 and 243.
333 can run for a long time with only 2 or even 1 factory producing gold bars. You are more than able to make EXP cards with it. However, I have little clue how valuable EXP cards are in bulk, as I own all units in the game, all 6* E2'd at level 20 and not one level more, and have never run into a single issue or had a shortage of resources for it. Now that I think about it, I have no clue what's the point of LMD either. I'm sitting at 45 million LMD and have nothing to do with it. Might as well E2 L20 every single unit or something, idk.
I swapped to 342 for a week and it's a big dopamine hit to see daily 71k or higher LMD per day... but yeah, to keep up with the gold needed my EXP production has stalled hard, gonna go back to 252 tomorrow when I have the drones. If I had Proviso I could get that amount daily on a 252, I don't even care about her but having skipped her banner hurts for stonks morale.
243 gets more shade than it deserves imo. For people who check their base once a day, it's perfect. Your ops can "survive" a 24H shift, you get more credits, more trust, etc. In a sense it's a perfect AFK base. Plus in case you decide to take a break from the game, your base can bounce back quite fast from being "death". I'm not saying 243 is better than 252, but they both have huge ups and downs.
It's weird if 243 is seen as completely worthless. I've seen how 15 slot 252 outproduces 243, but max Dorms are surprisingly convenient for lazy people Yes, 252 is better in the end, the debate is settled, but the account isn't completely doomed and Doctor shouldn't nuke the account if they're using a 243 Everyone knows 0-0-9 is the true endgame setup that HG refuses to give us anyway
Morale isn't an issue with either base in 24hr shifts. Operators "survive" shifts up to 34 hours, and dorms can easily replenish morale. The issue is capacity, where a 243 beats a max-right 252, so 243 will have more items ready to collect for each login. However, a 12-slot 252 has the same capacity and operator slots as a 243, with better production. And other 252 variants only improve. So 243 could be useful if you can't login often and have an old account with a maxed right side (and don't have Proviso, 9 Colored Deer, etc), but should be avoided otherwise.
@@PeterYR Sup Peter. And yeh that makes sense, thx for the info and love ya vid. But I'm still of the opinion that 243 shines in the afk department. 252 can also run a decent afk setup (like you have mentioned), it's just that if you have 243 afk setup already, going to a 252 setup is a bit unnecessary (imo). Naturally this also comes down to preference. Anyhow looking forward to your orundum base video.
I have around 1000+ gold bars. Should I deplete it until I have around 200~ish using 513/523? I feel like there's no use for me to put gold factories for the time being.
With a 252, just use 2 gold factories (and 3 exp factories) and drone trading posts, and that stockpile will slowly drain. If you urgently need more LMD, consider a 342 (also with 2 gold factories). The extra TP will process the gold faster.
Probably coming late to ask but, Im new to the game, Ive been playing for over 2 weeks now and I have my Base at lvl 5 so I could unlock everything...I was thinking on doing 252 but then what I read about it, its that is better cause this and this operator...What if you dont have them? Is it still better? or makes it so the 243 is better? I dont think I have most of the "meta" operators for base and even if I had them some requires the E2 skill...Which as a new player is far away to get there if I want to focus on level up a squad and advance in the story... Sorry if this was explained somewhere else and thank you for the great videos!! As a new player I enjoy all this content!
Some base skills are better for 252 (e.g. Proviso), some better for 243 (e.g. Archetto), but 252 will be better overall regardless. 252 is even better for newer players like you, as it costs much less to set up - 600k LMD compared to 1.1 million - and if you don't have the right-side buildings maxed out, you can avoid "permanent account damage" by leaving them at low levels and upgrading some Factories with the power you save.
Thank you for the reply! Yeh I kinda avoid it for now, since I have all left side maxed out but If I start upgrading the training room once I need to use it I will prolly will have to lower one dorm or something else, but thank you for all the advice! @@PeterYR
So I have a max right base, I like to max my things in games. I use 243 with this distribution: TP: Shamare+tequila/Proviso+Kirara (I switch Tequila and proviso every few hours while also spending my drones in that TP) Tuye + Pozyomka+ Ebenholdz for +147% in average Factories: Weedy+purestream+passenger for +102% Bubbles+Vulkan+waai fu for +104% Rozmontis+conviction+Minimalist for +152% Vermeil+Scene+Coebe for +108% Most of these combos won't work with a 2 operator factory so I wonder if 252 would be a real improvement They stay optimal most of the time thanks to Mlynar, Ling and Dust buffs Rosmo and Even from the CC, I also have both Iris and Czerny on the rooms and usually whisperain ok the office. Should I try 252 or 243 is the best for my account?
252 is still more efficient for EXP and LMD than 243 even with a fully maxed right side of base. Only advantage 243 would have is the dorms being higher level giving you more credits each day which imo is not worth it.
I think you should use the Shamare Tequilla Bibeak/ Kafka combo on the 3 slot Trading Post and and Provisio + Midnight/ Gummy / Catapult (anyone with the shake hand icon skill) since the Shamare combo is the most efficient; Provisio gains efficient on level 2 Trading Post and can work endlessly if you have Fiametta. Explanation of both combos can be found in Peter channel. For factory, I don't know the detailed calculation so I won't comment on the efficiency. The 3 slot combo I use for Factories are Weedy combo and Vermeil combo. You will have 2 lev 3 Factories and 3 lev 2 Factories with 252 far right.
@@gaswe9236Bubble (10) + Vulcan (52) Bubble has a skill that's kind of like Vermeils (but they don't stack so don't bother). Vulcan gets 52% cos of that. Waai Fu is 40% on her own and the extra 2% should be from Kal'tsit in CC
I'd say it's still alright to switch. As for the concerns with most factories being 2 slot in 252, it's still better than 243 since having one extra factory is pretty huge. Running 3 gold/3 exp when you need to is an edge 252 has over 243. Just having one extra factory means 100% more production. You'd have your factories at 33222 (The extra level 3 comes from downgrading a TP for Proviso) I leave my Vermeil team in one of the level 3 facs since she's my best exp prod. The Automaton team don't all have to be together tbh. Weedy and Purestream are plenty enough. Assuming you have Greyy Alter, Eunectes and run Dead Lancet strat, they still get 115% together Bubble Team could take the other level 3 factory if you like. As for the Exodia team, I don't want to say anything about that cos I really don't know a lot about it lol. Don't have any Sui Sibling so I haven't bothered trying to do deep research
In messing with this I have discovered that there's no way to unbuild/rebuild factories to get them into an order that makes sense, this makes me sad. e.g. on second floor, factory factory post gives the factories a reasonable numbering (1 2), but swapping out the last for a factory, factory factory factory gives the factories ???? numbering (2 3 1). I thought the first one you build would be 1, the next would be 2, etc. but no, the game wants to pick the most annoying numbering possible.
Yeah, we don't really know what's going on here either. Facility numbering is one of our big "unsolved problems" and we haven't figured out a consistent pattern.
Is there a detailed, up-to-date guide somewhere for Orundum farm? I'm interested in getting into this because I am an insane man and want to max pot Rosmontis for my Nekoknights gameplay and so I want to squeeze every last pull I can out of the game before her spark returns next year.
@@cbrana4649 It is a ton of fun, thanks. I didn't make a new account for it though, I'm too lazy for that. I use my main account that has them all raised already to save me irl sanity. xD
There's Malicast's guide, which I took some screenshots from for the video. It's fairly old, but orundum farming hasn't changed much, so it should still work fine. docs.google.com/document/d/1mXML196voUUGswEyn3D-NCALqOEpvajWKiYZXBiYmJ4/edit
@@disintegratedstrategist Just having the focus to do niche-knights clears is cool. Making a new account for a niche-knights involving a limited Operator whose banner has passed is a little scary for me to even think about, ha ha. Keep up the good fight.
The numbers shown only use E1 4-star base skills at most (link in description). Base output will vary drastically depending on base skills, but generally won't affect how different setups compare to each other.
one thing to note that i dont often see mentioned for anyone worrying about what setup to use and thinking too much about it or mad they messed up their base somehow is that unless youre trying to e2 max every single op in the game you'll pretty much have unlimited lmd and exp with pretty much any setup, assuming you regularly play and do events and stuff. i had the most basic ass 243 setup and when i was only leveling meta ops and things i actually used i had a stack of like 20 million lmd and who knows how much exp at one point, to the point where i eventually just started leveling everything i have up for the fun of it. if i kept playing like that id just continue to have infinite of both, forever. so try not to worry too much about it cause INFINITE is enough.
is credit shop included in the math? if not x x 3 variants may be a bit more useful. yes i know this is very small difference, but if you dont need LMD or EXP...
Of course credit shop is included, you think these people will just forget about it?) Credit shop has diminishing returns having 1 mil or 500 credit doesn't make much of a difference since you will spend them on the most useful mats first anyway. Higher xp/lmd production easily outweighs measly credit shop mats sanity wise.
It works fine, but I don't see why you'd want to avoid using drones. You can still adjust your LMD:EXP ratio by swapping a factory between EXP and gold though.
@@PeterYRsometimes I forgot to use drones because switching operators here and there, maybe I'll change my 243 to 252, or maybe you have any advice/suggestion for the base?
Given constraint: login every 24hrs Implied constraint: needs HR3 to be net neutral on recruitment permits Therefore in terms of TP and fac capacity 252 12 slot = 243 > 252 max right But 243 has extra 120 creds so its marginally better Dorms morale doesn't matter coz everything is full morale within 24hrs
As also 243 enjoyer. Yeah got around the same 40k EXP and 53k-56k LMD daily. idk what 252 will get. But I'm okay with this amount. Plus the OCD from not maxing everything is cruel.
there's also the setups where you change setups across time to maximize production like no TPs for a month then a month of 5 TPs or the like. i think that can be more efficient at times because of the base skills
I've seen some players do this, but it's always better to just use a "balanced" setup like 252 instead, since building many of one facility type has diminishing returns. When you have many TPs, you'll be forced to use worse TP base skills while locking yourself out of good factory base skills, and vice versa.
Wait, at 3:41 you say they burn OP to farm LS-6 - but doesn't this make barely any sense because most facs are EXP facs anyways? Shouldn't they be farming CE-6?
Not even a 1-5-3 base can provide enough EXP for OP burning whales. They have to farm both stages, but a 1-5-3 lets them farm LS-6 slightly less than normal, saving them enough sanity for it to be beneficial. These players are on another level, they're the ones basically paying the salaries at HG.
Yup. They farm LMD and rocks since the trading post doesn't generate any LMD, it's for farming originium. Why they would have a base dedicated to EXP and farm EXP makes zero sense.
They should be farming both. The idea is that even 153 isn't enough to cover their EXP needs, and they burn OP to farm both LS-6 and CE-6, increasing EXP's value. If your base is able to cover your EXP needs, you shouldn't use 153.
Its not "they burn OP to farm LS", its more like "they are farming LS *because* they burn OP". Default case F2P or monthly subscribers usually only have CE as significant node; the base will cover most if not all their LMD/XP needs while mat farming. As a player gets more sanity per day (sanity refresh) the mat farm finishes faster, therefore the LMD/XP demand hasn't been covered yet. In this case the player will adjust their base to produce more XP then farm CE. As they get more san/day it eventually gets to a point where the mat farm finishes so fast and they farm both CE and LS because their base hasn't produced enough LMD/XP yet. At this point their base should just produce as much XP as it can (153) to farm LS less. Tl;dr 153 efficient for space whales
I always use 153 since the start... and forget that we can change it... now I see this video, I change it to 243, because I'm F2P... I really really need more LMD, damn it!!! Thx.
1. How long have u researched base? 2. How will u guarantee 252 > 243 REGARDLESS of new incoming operators? I can declare Hoederer and Delphine make 243 better. And if they are unable to do that, mumu, Ines and Typhoon can do it. Hope u can debunk that 😏

I have the same setup, are you droning your TP? I've found that's just enough to deplete all gold bars I get at the beggining of the month from green certs, and get to 0 by the end of the month, and the cycle repeats.
@@fickleborn5314 Well, rarely i did use drones to speed up trades. Maybe this is the problem. Its been 4 - 5 month i've never assign operator at power plant.
Hi, I have a 2 4 3 and my avg daily output is slightly higher (~2300) than what you show there. Not trying to say that your math is wrong, just an honest question as to why might be the reason. Also, quite sad that I cant downgrade stuff like the office and the Reception. Been playing for about a year and just built a 243 because that is what ppl recommended Thanks for the video, I wished I saw something like this when I started playing
Base outputs will vary drastically depending on base skills available. Scifi's calcs (from which I shamelessly steal) use a baseline of 4-star E1 base skills at most, so it's common to have better base skills and thus higher production. For example, a max-right 252 is listed to produce 47.5k LMD per day (1:00), but mine easily makes 65k to 70k thanks to Proviso and other good TP skills.
While I switched to 252 myself. I find your trust argument deceptive and misleading as it's only counting trust gains from 12 operators when in reality, all operators in the base gain trust and the base assistants explicitly gain more. 240*12(more realistically 11 since you need at least 1 OP like Ling to carry)=2880 trust. Even only counting the base assistants, your graph looks off. The head base assistant gains up to 500 trust twice a day while the floor assistants gain up to 125 a day. If max ambience to 252 ambience about halves trust gain, you'd be getting 2k trust in a 243 setup and losing 1k trust with 252. If you included base assistants, your graph would go up to 4.88k, but looking at it, it looks like you took the base 100 trust gain a day from 12 operators not in the assistant slots instead to cap out at 4.08k instead. This gets worse the more operators you have working in the base without max trust. Theoretically, with no max trust operators, you could get upwards of 6k-7k trust a day from the base while in the worst case scenario it's 2k from only the base assistants. This personally wasn't a dealbreaker for me as I had reached 200% trust with every operator and maintained it trivially before switching. However, once I made the switch, maxing out the trust of new operators as they come has been significantly slower and I now run full 11 operator+1 Ling trust farms. This is a vastly different story for newer players though and while the production gains are more worthwhile, they'll have a hell of a harder time getting their operator's trust to max.
If I’m not reading it wrong, doesn’t Eunectes’ E2 base skill allow for +2 power plants to be built? So you can technically have 5 Power Plants 😂 As a veteran player, I’m running a max-right 252, and only recently I’ve gotten around properly caring about staggering (as I realised I was switching ops every 6hrs). Thanks for making these vids, they really help.
the bonus doesn't actually reflect anything In the base itself its designed to help skills like lumen and purestream who get bonuses for the amount of power plants in the base. basically, eunectes (and grey alter) add to the "theoretical" count of powerplants those skills use
every 6 hours? I usually staggering every 12 hours on other facility while CC-Office-and other related thing (for example Wordly Plight operator when using Chong Yue on CC) with 27 work time and 9 hours rest. With Chong Yue released, we always have a way to reduce morale consumption on other facility. I use Chong Yue and co for main and use Mlynar as sub when main team are recovering.
@@ismailabdulq1492 Yeah, I know that it's not supposed to be like that. So, I made a proper rotation schedule, and now I have 12-hour rotations with good margins for error (thanks to R6S CC and 2-staggering the L3 TP and FAC)
I think that part of the video was a bit unclear. If you have a single level 3 factory, you unlock top-tier recipes for *all* factories. 351 has issues because it keeps all factories at level 2, but all 252 variants have at least one level 3 factory.
yeah, 252 is incredibly amazing and amazingly incredible. But having low-level facilities will hurt everything other than exp and lmd production. Clues exchange? Gone. Recruitment rerolls? Forget about it. And those good factory/TP skills you've mentioned? They will lose morale much faster then you can recover it, so uptime will be bad. Playing on 243 for a two years and it's ok. Not greatest setup, but most comfortable. One complaint tho - in last year i've stockpiled 2,7k pure gold even with all drones going into TPs. Gonna spend them in some way...
Not sure what you're talking about. - Clue search speed is unaffected* by ambience. - Office refresh speed is unaffected by ambience/office level. - TP/Fac morale is unaffected by ambience. - Dorms recover 2 morale per hour at level 1, easily enough to keep up with 0.65 - 0.7 hourly morale drain. Regarding your gold stockpile, maybe you're not using the best TP skills? Otherwise, assuming 2 gold factories, I'm not sure how 2 TPs can't outrun them. Switching to 342 temporarily might help. *Clue search speed bonus from ambience caps out at +15% for 4000 ambience.
@@PeterYR ok, let's clarify: -is clue search speed affecter by rec room level? Or it's just for support slots? Anyway, loosing pretty much onli way to interact with other players isn't good. -speed is not affected, but limit is. And it's important for those who plays for 3-4 hours per day. -sure -rn with full dorms active i still struggle sometimes when all ops got to 0 at same time. With low level dorms it may be crucial. my tp teams is SA-Jaye-Myrtle, Texas-Exia-Lappy and Tequila with two of "higher value more often" ops. I don't have Proviso for some weird reason. Regarding gold, i'll just switch to 3exp/1gold for some time while farming for lmd manually. it's free and easy. Overall, 252 is more efficient, but i can only access the game for short periods 2-3 times per day. Because of this I can't catch up with exact timings for most of stuff happening in my base, and most of efficiency benefit will go to waste. 243 is more comfortable imo.
- No one is forcing you to keep the RR low-level. 13-slot 252 is actually quite popular (level 1 office, level 3 RR), but you have the *option* to keep your RR low-level for even more LMD/EXP. - Office refresh limit is also unaffected by its level. - Regarding morale... no offense, but this just sounds like a skill issue. Morale recovery speed won't even matter if you don't login often; your workers will be at full morale either way. If you rotate badly, you'll struggle with morale regardless of dorm levels.
While I fully understand that 252 is the most efficient base set up, I think the reason why a lot people prefer 243 including myself is because it's just so soulless to not have all your buildings maxed out.
This, but the lack of options for people tp reset their base who regret their base options is still painful

Well you'll get that in about 6-7 months
since i started, i’ve made a 2-4-3 base without really thinking, and i cant really be bothered to change it (i would rather have everything be level 3 and not have to think than maximize production)

I like getting all the stuff in the credit shop. Plus it's easier to swap out shifts. I was 252 max right for a few months.

I mainly use it due to the above reasons, OCD, and recently, to trigger some people
I use 3 3 3 because i LOVE symetry
I use 243 because I'm a vet and it's hell on my knees to set up 252. Also, not having maxed out rooms bothers me something fierce.

Would really appreciate a video about orundum farming/base setups as I know nothing about them and you hinted at some misconceptions around the topic.
PLEASE orundum farm video. Ive been thinking about it for a while but i cant bring myself to strategize it on my own.
Make the shards in 252 (or 243 if you're using that. You'll have to use only 3 facs for a while)
Then convert to 342 for the orundum orders
I use the 11 slot because i thought maxing everything was the goal
@@PeterYR It's changing a power plant to a factory right??? Not the opposite.
oops lol fixed
Really hope you'll make that video about orundum farming soon. While it was taken as gospel to never do it when the game first launched, 3 years in and I have excesses of every resource since I don't care to raise every operator to the maximum
Be me, a new player, who just upgraded the reception/hr rooms to then watch this video 5 min afterwards :(
I run 3-3-3 and switch one factory to exp when I have a few hundreds gold bars stockpiled. They usually last for a while.
The (likely copium) advantages are :
- better repartition of operators (I assume 252 sometimes runs out of good factory operators)
- some base skills synergize with trading posts and power plants (the purestream/weedy/greyyalt gang, mainly, swire/amiya too, I guess)
- every room maxed out, ueheheh
I would be curious to see the report numbers for 252, mine are currently 16k exp, 54k worth of gold bar, and 64500 LMD (although they probably vary a bit).
All of these except for the maxed out base work with 252. If you really want everything maxed, even 243 is better.
I use 3-3-3 to orundum farm and I can get away with it because of good base skills and leviathan
I also like to get more credits than with 252 and well. It takes less time to micromanage.
but.. but the 009 one is so powerful
Sadly I didn't know anything about these things before I maxed right.
@@PeterYRi used to worship 243
But after trying new acc with 33332 variant, everything changed. That all micro management on 243 for more exp card in 2 factory almost got beaten by only placing 1 operator for 3 exp card factory.

really interested in the orundum base setup. hope it comes soon.
Where do you usually use your drones?
@@Empurress791 99% of the time it’s just for speeding things up in the Trading Post. Otherwise the drones are used to speed up Tier 3 chips in the factories for a quick E2, transitioning from a 153 to a 333, or transitioning from a 333 to a 153. But transitioning one factory/trading post takes nearly all the drones in one go, so I have to wait until the drones fill up again before transitioning another factory/trading post.
This make sense.
But I have another question.
Farm
Cargo Escort or Tactical Drill ?
You usually just dump all your sanity to mats.
Though never farm LS. CE you might need to farm depending on mat demand and if you do sanity refresh
I swap a factory to trade post when gold piles up.
Yeah because the sheet assumes 4* only + Amiya

333 : 243 :: 342 : 252
All your arguments for occasionally switching back and forth between 252 and 342 also apply to switching between 243 and 333.
I tried to use 252 setup, but returned to 243 because of higher capacity limit for items, and since i dont have a consistent login time(random basically) and have two accounts to manage, 243 works better for me, and login until 13-15 hours later without worrying about the production stopping due to max capacity, which the 252 cant do, needing to login every 12 hours, plus i really like getting 200 credits per day to spend
fair point about login time but about credit, you do know that you can visit 10 friends for 300 credit each day, right?
@@stagetired hence i have 500+ credits to spend on
I have a feeling you really like managing data
i lvld my right hand side so conveniently fucked over myself in regards to setting up 243
In conclusion, 252 is basically god
Ive been using 243 for ages, i might finally swap to a 252.
As uh, ive been playing since week 1 of the game launching
I use max right 2-5-2 and just by using Chong Yue-Ling-Dusk-Amiya-Kaltsit on Control Center, Mulberry Office, Mr. Nothing on TP plus full dorm, Nian elsewhere beside dorm, it give you :
82% TP efficiency (broken if Mr. Nothing pair with Proviso on lvl 2 TP)
-0.50 morale per hour on Lvl 2 facility (mean full 48 hours shift before morale run out, though Op on CC gonna drain morale faster, so nope)
Optional : Jie Yun is decent with 30% production on factory, maybe the reason is HG gonna introduce more Wordly Plight OP in future so maybe Jieyun will be more relevant.
@@MereleFerele idk man, I use 243 and I only change my setup twice a day lol

Unconventional is 243. Also, if done right, 243 isn't that far off from 252 Max Right.
it really feels like 252 people just hate 243
243 gets more shade than it deserves imo.
For people who check their base once a day, it's perfect.
Your ops can "survive" a 24H shift, you get more credits, more trust, etc.
In a sense it's a perfect AFK base. Plus in case you decide to take a break from the game, your base can bounce back quite fast from being "death".
I'm not saying 243 is better than 252, but they both have huge ups and downs.
It's weird if 243 is seen as completely worthless. I've seen how 15 slot 252 outproduces 243, but max Dorms are surprisingly convenient for lazy people
Yes, 252 is better in the end, the debate is settled, but the account isn't completely doomed and Doctor shouldn't nuke the account if they're using a 243
Everyone knows 0-0-9 is the true endgame setup that HG refuses to give us anyway
2-4-3 all the way, cuz I want all buildings maxed
I have around 1000+ gold bars. Should I deplete it until I have around 200~ish using 513/523? I feel like there's no use for me to put gold factories for the time being.
With a 252, just use 2 gold factories (and 3 exp factories) and drone trading posts, and that stockpile will slowly drain. If you urgently need more LMD, consider a 342 (also with 2 gold factories). The extra TP will process the gold faster.
How to change the setup pleaseee??
Probably coming late to ask but, Im new to the game, Ive been playing for over 2 weeks now and I have my Base at lvl 5 so I could unlock everything...I was thinking on doing 252 but then what I read about it, its that is better cause this and this operator...What if you dont have them?
@@PeterYR

Where's that guide?
So I have a max right base, I like to max my things in games. I use 243 with this distribution:
TP:
Shamare+tequila/Proviso+Kirara (I switch Tequila and proviso every few hours while also spending my drones in that TP)
Tuye + Pozyomka+ Ebenholdz for +147% in average
Factories:
Weedy+purestream+passenger for +102%
Bubbles+Vulkan+waai fu for +104%
Rozmontis+conviction+Minimalist for +152%
Vermeil+Scene+Coebe for +108%
Most of these combos won't work with a 2 operator factory so I wonder if 252 would be a real improvement
They stay optimal most of the time thanks to Mlynar, Ling and Dust buffs Rosmo and Even from the CC, I also have both Iris and Czerny on the rooms and usually whisperain ok the office.
Should I try 252 or 243 is the best for my account?
252 is still more efficient for EXP and LMD than 243 even with a fully maxed right side of base. Only advantage 243 would have is the dorms being higher level giving you more credits each day which imo is not worth it.
How does bubble vulcan and waai fu give you 104??
@@gaswe9236Bubble (10) + Vulcan (52)
Bubble has a skill that's kind of like Vermeils (but they don't stack so don't bother).
You'd have your factories at 33222 (The extra level 3 comes from downgrading a TP for Proviso)
I leave my Vermeil team in one of the level 3 facs since she's my best exp prod.
The Automaton team don't all have to be together tbh. Weedy and Purestream are plenty enough. Assuming you have Greyy Alter, Eunectes and run Dead Lancet strat, they still get 115% together
Bubble Team could take the other level 3 factory if you like.
As for the Exodia team, I don't want to say anything about that cos I really don't know a lot about it lol. Don't have any Sui Sibling so I haven't bothered trying to do deep research
153 gangs
i have 20m LMD now lmao
gonna switch to 153 exp production soon
In messing with this I have discovered that there's no way to unbuild/rebuild factories to get them into an order that makes sense, this makes me sad.
e.g. on second floor,
factory factory post gives the factories a reasonable numbering (1 2), but swapping out the last for a factory,
factory factory factory gives the factories ???? numbering (2 3 1).
I thought the first one you build would be 1, the next would be 2, etc. but no, the game wants to pick the most annoying numbering possible.
Actually wait I got them to renumber somehow and now I'm very confused
Yeah, we don't really know what's going on here either. Facility numbering is one of our big "unsolved problems" and we haven't figured out a consistent pattern.
@@PeterYR and I thought I was crazy that the numbers didn't match the layout, at least I remember the pattern of my base(
Will 252 max right still be efficient if you log on twice a day?
That's what works best for 252. You make 12hr shifts and only have to check twice a day
Is there a detailed, up-to-date guide somewhere for Orundum farm? I'm interested in getting into this because I am an insane man and want to max pot Rosmontis for my Nekoknights gameplay and so I want to squeeze every last pull I can out of the game before her spark returns next year.
I hope you have a blast, that sounds like a really fun account type.

How did you calculate out the base output values? They all seem suspiciously low
The numbers shown only use E1 4-star base skills at most (link in description). Base output will vary drastically depending on base skills, but generally won't affect how different setups compare to each other.
thanks, makes much more sense
one thing to note that i dont often see mentioned for anyone worrying about what setup to use and thinking too much about it or mad they messed up their base somehow is that unless youre trying to e2 max every single op in the game you'll pretty much have unlimited lmd and exp with pretty much any setup, assuming you regularly play and do events and stuff. i had the most basic ass 243 setup and when i was only leveling meta ops and things i actually used i had a stack of like 20 million lmd and who knows how much exp at one point, to the point where i eventually just started leveling everything i have up for the fun of it. if i kept playing like that id just continue to have infinite of both, forever. so try not to worry too much about it cause INFINITE is enough.
My setup is 1 gold 1 originum 1 exp 3 trade post and 3 power point
I have a lot of gold point and exp cause i rarely increase operators
is credit shop included in the math? if not x x 3 variants may be a bit more useful. yes i know this is very small difference, but if you dont need LMD or EXP...
use 2 5 2 with 3reception 1office 3training room
Of course credit shop is included, you think these people will just forget about it?) Credit shop has diminishing returns having 1 mil or 500 credit doesn't make much of a difference since you will spend them on the most useful mats first anyway. Higher xp/lmd production easily outweighs measly credit shop mats sanity wise.
Does using 252 without using any drones to fasten production still viable? Its like collect manually once every 12 hours
But for those who only can login once per day would 243 work better or 252 with certain operators would still be better?
Given constraint: login every 24hrs
Implied constraint: needs HR3 to be net neutral on recruitment permits
Therefore in terms of TP and fac capacity 252 12 slot = 243 > 252 max right
But 243 has extra 120 creds so its marginally better
Dorms morale doesn't matter coz everything is full morale within 24hrs
My daily output with 243 is about 39k EXP and 53k LMD.
Same, mine gets around the same amount everyday
As also 243 enjoyer. Yeah got around the same 40k EXP and 53k-56k LMD daily.
idk what 252 will get. But I'm okay with this amount. Plus the OCD from not maxing everything is cruel.
ACK so I really have had a bad base the entire year and half I've been playing arknights. 333
there's also the setups where you change setups across time to maximize production like no TPs for a month then a month of 5 TPs or the like. i think that can be more efficient at times because of the base skills
I've seen some players do this, but it's always better to just use a "balanced" setup like 252 instead, since building many of one facility type has diminishing returns. When you have many TPs, you'll be forced to use worse TP base skills while locking yourself out of good factory base skills, and vice versa.
Might just be me, but I’m having trouble with your About page’s Discord link.
It's just a link to my Discord profile. I don't have a server.
@@PeterYR Oh, oops. My bad, thanks for your attention.
But... but... 3-3-3 symmetry 🥺👉👈
Hope u can debunk that 😏
...You haven't actually looked at those base skills, have you? Base skills like Proviso's (buff to level 2 TP) and Mlynar's (morale buff to level 2 TP/fac) favor 252. None of the ops you mentioned favor 243. Unless you're telling me reception room base skills benefit 243 more than 252 somehow?
I've been "researching" the base since mid 2020 when I joined the AKO r-i-i-c channel. But seniority really has no relevance here.

@@adamtaurus7013 A skill will "favor" one setup if if benefits one over the other. For example, Proviso buffs 252 more than 243 because she works better in a level 2 TP, freeing up power for a factory upgrade. 252 can upgrade a factory, but 243 cannot. Hi, I have a 2 4 3 and my avg daily output is slightly higher (~2300) than what you show there.
Not trying to say that your math is wrong, just an honest question as to why might be the reason.
Also, quite sad that I cant downgrade stuff like the office and the Reception. Been playing for about a year and just built a 243 because that is what ppl recommended
Thanks for the video, I wished I saw something like this when I started playing
So you can technically have 5 Power Plants 😂
As a veteran player, I’m running a max-right 252, and only recently I’ve gotten around properly caring about staggering (as I realised I was switching ops every 6hrs).

@@PeterYR ok, let's clarify:
-is clue search speed affecter by rec room level? Or it's just for support slots? Anyway, loosing pretty much onli way to interact with other players isn't good.
-speed is not affected, but limit is. And it's important for those who plays for 3-4 hours per day.

-rn with full dorms active i still struggle sometimes when all ops got to 0 at same time.
I just use the one layout built from the very start
