This is absolutely amazing. You're amazing! How do you come up with your designs? I really would like to make more macramé homedecor and embellishments but one thing that blocks me is that I would prefer to express my creativity with it, thus creating my own designs instead of replicating the beautiful creations I see on YT (or elsewhere). But I just don't know where to start. I'm the kind that mostly improvise so it really suits other type of creation (cards, junk journals, scrapbooking, etc.) but I've found you can't improvised macramé, you have to decide of a design first. But how to do it? Do you draw it first on paper? How do you even draw the different knots for it to make sense? How do you figure the numbers of rows and lines? I really wish I would find these kind of tutorials as well.
Anyhow, I'm an absolute fan of your work

I have to think about new work every week to make a tutorial.
So I think about the design of my next work with the focus on what I want to do. Otherwise I'm in a slump :)
When I come up with an idea, I do a simple sketch and write a message. :)
Most designs are improvised. And sometimes I fail, or I don't like the design and start again.
But these sample works make a new next one. :)

Well... I haven't tried 2mm so I'm not sure about the length. The length required depends on the type and thickness of the rope.

PLEASE could you post what cord or rope you are using in the video? If you cannot give us the brand name, then just a description of what this type of cord is called. I have seen ones that come close, but they were made with a combination that included plastic. And as always, your videos are inspiring and very well done. Thank you!
There doesn't seem to be any fraying at the ends of the cords, but they may have been fused. In the video at 1:20, the ends can be seen and it looks like clothesline that has been dyed because only the outer core is purple/pink, the inside core is still white. Wish I knew.

The color is dyed by mixing tan bronce and purple. I used "Rit dye".
And If I start an online shopping mall that sells my cords and other materials, I will post it on RUclips. :)

I'd like to do macrame with your tutorial, it's amazing! What if I want to do a tree of 80-90 cm heigt? How long cords I have to use?
I am sorry for the late response as I am working on the delivery business of my online mall and sample work of a new macrame at the same time.
There are two ways. The first is to use a thicker rope, and the second is to cut the rope longer.😊
The tree will be bigger if you use a thicker rope. I haven't tried a thicker rope, so I'm not sure what length of the rope you need. You have to cut it longer.
If you want to use a longer rope of the same thickness, you need to add more knots. This way you will have to add additional knots yourself. 😊

Kathy L, you can paint the wooden beads (gold acrylic paint)... I used to do that, and works for me. :)
